Diego’s jumper is excellent.

JaneJeffer · 22/09/2026 22:10

They’re confusing me never mind each other

JaneJeffer · 22/09/2026 22:14

How are they going to resolve the deadlock? It’s stupid

JaneJeffer · 22/09/2026 22:16

Bahahaha

JaneJeffer · 22/09/2026 22:24

Have they sussed Paraic?

JaneJeffer · 22/09/2026 22:33

Diego does excellent poker face

UncleColm · 22/09/2026 22:43

I was surprised by the end! Really didn't think Diego had sussed Pauric.. and that Anna and Diego would work together - having not really gotten on in the Castle.

JeremiaBoogle · 22/09/2026 22:48

Deigo had me fooled he was a dope. Couldn't be happier about it!!

It’s kind of Tragic, Trembling Puppy Face, but it’s very effective! As is appearing to have nice knitwear and about a quarter of a brain cell! Well done, Diego and Anna. Deeply unlikely result, though!

He learned it from dating a therapist 😆

Reeeeally didnt think Diego had it in him to go against Pauric O. Good finale in the end. I was delighted Carla and Pauric didnt win.

JeremiaBoogle · 22/09/2026 23:53

Delighted with the outcome, disappointment with the editing though. Personally I'd have like to hear more of people's strategy and their discussions with each other.

Interested to know when Anna and Diego decided to go for Pauric, after both of them having pretty much said I suspect anyone but Pauric during the round table discussions. Anna naming Carla and Diego as her suspects, and Diego naming Carla and Anna. We saw nothing of the two of them talking before the final table.

Boolabus · 23/09/2026 08:08

Did they talk about it though? I am sure it would have been shown if they had. They may just have been playing their own game. Diego knew Pauric was going for Anna so even if Anna had gone for Diego it would have been a 3 way split so going for Pauric was a risk worth taking for Diego. I think Pauric not budging on Carla at round table may have swung it for Diego as she turned out to be a traitor. They don't seem to have time together to discuss anything between last round table and fire pit.

Delighted with the winners, I warmed more to Anna in final episodes

Actually, just read an article on it and it does seem like Anna and Diego discussed things before round table. Tbh I am fine with that, it built the tension and blindsided us all

User451278 · 23/09/2026 09:13

I think the faithfuls winning and blindsiding Pauric saved the show tbh.
The critics/reviewers have been very critical about it.
It was a good ending to an otherwise stressful, hard watch.

JaneJeffer · 23/09/2026 10:33

Yeah the fact that Pauric wouldn’t change his vote to Carla was his downfall. If he thought both of the women were traitors as he told Diego it wouldn’t matter which of them got voted out first.

Yeah the fact that Pauric wouldn’t change his vote to Carla was his downfall. If he thought both of the women were traitors as he told Diego it wouldn’t matter which of them got voted out first.

Yet he'd signalled in the video room that he was ready to ditch her to win alone. Why didn't he? Did he just not trust she'd get another vote, and he'd be stuck with an angry, aggressive fellow-traitor ready to unleash her worst on him?

I honestly think that it wasn't Carla's strategising or pure luck that meant she had such an easy ride as traitor, or not after the early days -- it was down to how aggressive she got when anyone brought her name up. She's a total playground scrapper, and it was simply easier for the non-confrontational to bring up someone else's name, and avoid her outrage and aggression. It can absolutely work, though I think it's most usually been men doing it.

ShhhYouDontKnowMe · 23/09/2026 22:34

Delighted with that ending, really didn’t want Pauric to leave with a penny!

ShhhYouDontKnowMe · 23/09/2026 22:37

Also suspect Diego’s naïveté was played up in the edit to lead us down the wrong path. Agree Pauric refusing to budge to Carla at the last table set Diego’s path.
