I'm sitting in the sunshine having a cosmopolitan waiting for Robbie Williams who's putting on a free show in just over 30 mins.

It's 0 degrees here 🥶but feels colder because of wind chill.

It's 8pm here and the temperature has dropped to 19°C.

At the end of the show the Mayor of Melbourne presented Robbie Williams with the key of the city.

@honeyrider sounds like you're having a blast! Soak it up, it's bloody freezing here!

@Carriemac you must miss your DS terribly, both DH and I have siblings in Oz (for many years) and I can remember that first Christmas being hard for everyone. Maybe you'll spend it in Melbourne next year!

We have sleet, cold and wet was bad. Sleet is just stupid.

Snow here and heavy grey sky so everything looks monochrome and lifeless. On the good side, we still have electricity, and since I don't take any stuff down until after Little Christmas I have plenty of battery operated white and coloured lights to cheer me up.

Yes this "multi-weather event" has so far been uneventful. I always find that when a big fuss is made of weather forecasting it never actually happens! We've had lashing rain all night and non stop today. Big worry if it freezes overnight but my phone is telling me it'll be 2 degrees so that's not going to freeze. It's just going to be shitty wet cold weather - as usual for January 😩

We have a lot of snow and no sign of it stopping.

We have had heavy rain, sleet and snow, now drizzle. I suppose that's multi weather! Some cars have snow on them.

No snow here in Dublin. Just rain.

Lot of snow in the mid west, still coming down. Thick and fluffy atm so easy to move through and drivers are keeping the road passable, but if it freezes after dark it will be more of a problem

I'm on the East but in an "orange" zone. Still only rain. What a crappy day. I hope it doesn't freeze overnight 🙏🏻

Loads of snow in Carlow

No snow in South County Cork, just a flurry of sleet. It's very rare that we get snow.

Doesn't stop the south Cork people clearing the shelves of sliced pans! I think overnight ice here is more a problem looking at forecast.

Maybe they think 'If we take the bread, the snow will come'. A modern-day invocation to the Weather Gods.

Or if we offer up the Brennans Batch we will be safe.

Lots of snow in North Cork yesterday though. The minor roads here are very bad. Local schools were all closed today and just got word they’re to stay closed tomorrow too.
Not a crust of Brennan’s left in Tesco, batch or otherwise ☺️

No bin collection tomorrow, so pleasant not to have to trudge out through the snow.

We're spared a lot from being near the coast @TwirlBar although black ice can be a problem.

Deffo a country of two halves, I'm in the freezing-crisp-blue-sky-but-no-snow bit, and my heart goes out to everybody suffering from the snow, power and water outages, I hope you can be warm and comfortable again very soon.

A thought too for the workers out in the sub-zero temperatures trying to get the power and water back on, and the gritting teams - they work flat out and the focus is often on what they haven't been able to do, not what they have managed to do in terrible conditions.
