I’m watching RTE news. They mentioned the Garda representatives organisation are concerned about Gender Identity in the workplace. It’s been brought in without consultation & without training.

the Garda Commissioner has said that Garda may be disciplined for misgendering.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Apparently the Dail was empty for the start of Roderic O'Gorman's IWD speech. Can't imagine why.

Us women will not forget than he had a transwoman speaking on International Women's day last year... This year he decides to go one better & get us kicked out of the constitution!

When you read these words from from Helena Concannon in 1937 compared to Roderic O Gorman's bringing a Transwoman to address us women on International Women's Day to this year trying to remove woman & mother from the Constitution. No wonder he was speaking to an empty Dáil.

What would this woman think? Writing back in 1937 not to alter a comma?

OK I'll tell you: it is a marketing email from a hardware shop! Yes, the shop that used to send me regular emails about angle grinders and clothes airers has suddenly gone all funny; I wonder who has taken over their marketing? I bet they have pronouns...
It's a long established (1865) Dublin business which I used to love because it has kept an old-fashioned hardware shop in the centre of the city, where most traditional shops have disappeared. The exact same shop I used to go into with my mother and father all those who parented me, in all their beautiful diversity😒

Motherhood is not gender neutral, never was & never will be!!

I asked a question of all my representatives and I still have not had answer.

I advised I would give a yes vote if they give the stats of how many "trans women" were incarcerated in the laundries for the crime of being a woman.

To this day it has been "tumble weed silence".

I have also asked for the number, just the number of unmarried fathers home that existed.

By default any child born to unmarried mothers has an unmarried father.

Still waiting for that as well.

I also cannot any evidence that men had to blessed after their child was born to be allowed attend services.

They are no "motherly figures".

The initial leads me to suspect that it's the hardware store where I got my pointing trowel cut to the correct size before heading off to dig up Fishamble Street in 1980. Before we even started having the horrible repetitive arguments that eventually produced the 8th amendment to the constitution.

I have voted. And made very sure that the punched holes in my ballot papers were cleared of hanging chads.

And the government are trying to say the vote has nothing to do with Trans. Read this letter from Labours Bernie Linnane which very pointedly is saying vote Yes for trans rights.

Well hopefully that article in the Sligo Champion will generate a few No votes!🙏

And the government were at pains to say the yes vote was nothing to do with Trans rights... Well Bernie Linnane certainly let the cat out of the bag there both in her letter & in her hashtags!
