There are no words.
I hope he never gets out.

Ywlala92 · 18/11/2023 13:23

He'll be out before he's 60! No doubt he'll go back claiming benefits from the Irish system again!

honeyrider · 18/11/2023 15:05

I hope his family and friends who perverted the course of justice get jail too.

LadyEloise1 · 18/11/2023 18:19

A married father of five, apparently on dating websites.
🤮

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 18/11/2023 21:08

It's just awful. Her boyfriend's address was heartbreaking 😕 I get having free borders in the EU but it shouldn't apply to criminals! I can't understand how we allow people to come here without carrying out security checks. Surely this needs to change

eggandonion · 18/11/2023 23:25

There are some rotten people in the world.
And some lovely ones. Its so sad to see a future and a present devastated.

Happierwithouthim · 23/11/2023 20:49

Shocked at what's happened in Dublin today and the violence towards the Gardai tonight.

FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 23/11/2023 21:17

I'm watching the news, horrified.

My thoughts are with the injured children and adults that they pull through.

Also thinking of the gardaí tonight and hope they get through it alright.

It has been a truly awful day.

FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 23/11/2023 21:29

Edit: children and the adult female.

3luckystars · 23/11/2023 22:26

This has been brewing for years. The atmosphere in Dublin is menacing. Hopefully nobody else gets injured today.

Happierwithouthim · 23/11/2023 23:03

My dbro said that too, he's a member of Gardai although luckily not in Dublin anymore, some speculate it could spread nationally. I'm planning a trip to Galway Christmas markets & taking my dc on Sat eve.

JaneJeffer · 23/11/2023 23:06

I really don't think any people outside Dublin are going to start rioting

eggandonion · 23/11/2023 23:14

I hope not. It's awful to see the destruction.

JaneJeffer · 23/11/2023 23:42

Loads of idiots on the other thread. I'm surprised they're not out on the streets too.

eggandonion · 23/11/2023 23:47

Why would you be out on the cold streets? You send teenagers out to riot. Gurriers.

LadyEloise1 · 24/11/2023 00:35

I agree @FuzzyCaoraDhubh.
Sad

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 24/11/2023 09:20

I pity anyone who had to travel to Dublin City this morning, the aftermath must be awful. All that damage and destruction in the cold light of day. And still those poor children and woman injured in hospital. Please God they will be ok. The rumour-mill is on overdrive I hope the truth isn't as bad as the rumours 🤞🏻

LadyEloise1 · 25/11/2023 09:54

Thinking of the victims of Thursday's violence and hoping and praying they recover well.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 26/11/2023 11:57

We enjoyed the toy show on Friday night! A good antidote to the horrors of the night before. Thought PK did a good job and the kids were wonderful. Shamie in particular 🤣 Loved the little girl getting surprised at the "private showing" and whisked off to the studio ❤️ Only teens in our house so no real interest in the actual toys! But it was good craic as always.

eggandonion · 28/11/2023 16:08

Its a bit too cold today and getting a bit too dark too soon...I m looking forward to the grand stretch .
About a third of my neighbours have Christmas trees up since last week. I think the toy show has caused a premature December.

JaneJeffer · 28/11/2023 18:47

Can someone tell Brian Dowling we're not deaf and he doesn't need to shout

halfpasteleven · 28/11/2023 22:22

@JaneJeffer I think Katja has settled better into the new role..
maybe it's just nerves on his part..

JaneJeffer · 30/11/2023 12:02

Shane MacGowan has died. Such a talented man and a poet. May he rest in peace.

honeyrider · 30/11/2023 13:20

A great song writer. I saw him, the Pogues and Kirsty McColl in concert in London back in the late 80's and it was great. May he RIP.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 30/11/2023 14:30

Very sad, may he rest in peace
