What a bunch of tossers.

JaneJeffer · 18/01/2022 20:42

@honeyrider

The misogynistic Men's Rosary group aka the Irish Freedom Party in Limerick moved from their usual venue to stand beside where the vigil for Ashling was being held and kept chanting the rosary through amplifiers to drown out the vigil and refused to stop when asked to do so.
Jesus I hate those Irish freedom fuckers. Freedom from what?

Absolute tossers.

JaneJeffer · 18/01/2022 20:43

It's so depressing all the men trying to turn this around to how they are so oppressed.

They can't see how they are the problem . Misogynistic fuckers

eggandonion · 19/01/2022 11:13

Just plain rude. Nasty people, showing off.

halfpasteleven · 19/01/2022 13:06

@JaneJeffer

It's so depressing all the men trying to turn this around to how they are so oppressed.
Their sense of self entitlement is astounding
LifeInAHamsterWheel · 19/01/2022 13:57

I've never heard of them! However a quick look at their website was all I needed to convince me they are a bunch of crackpots! They seem to want a return to how life in Ireland was (for men) in the 1950s Hmm as for their behaviour at the time of the vigil - disgusting.

Emerald5hamrock · 19/01/2022 18:35

I never heard of them either, a pack of disrespectful lunatics, how dare they be so crass.
Ashling I've no words for the devastating tragedy that bastard has caused so random so sad.
I'm sick of violence towards women. 😒
It's been a bad start to the year poor Sinead too, what a loss for their families.

JaneJeffer · 19/01/2022 20:18

A very depressing January so far Sad

What is Dr Tony up to?

halfpasteleven · 20/01/2022 22:12

@eggandonion how do you mean?
There seems to be good indicators that most restrictions will be lifted sooner rather than later..

3luckystars · 20/01/2022 22:22

And just like that ..,,, All of them, gone.

eggandonion · 20/01/2022 22:41

It just seems too sudden? I hope this is really the beginning of the end, but there's still plenty of infection out there.
But I will be happy to cut back on hand sanitizer!

JaneJeffer · 20/01/2022 23:04

Can't wait for them to be lifted.

eggandonion · 20/01/2022 23:38

I don't want people breathing on me! I haven't had a cold for two years, if I could trust sniffling people to stay at home...including snotty relatives!

Iblinkedandiamold · 21/01/2022 07:12

It might be sudden to us but probably not for them as they've been tracking the virus. I just hope this variant is a sign that the virus is weakening.
At the start of this virus someone told me that virus' realises that it needs us alive to survive so it weakens over time. Seems like that person could be right

Emerald5hamrock · 21/01/2022 07:22

I'm looking forward to restrictions ending, the majority are vaccinated, those who aren't through choice will have to get on with it.
The vaccinations have protected the vulnerable.
I'll continue to wear my mask and hand sanitise regularly.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 21/01/2022 07:29

It's in my DD's classroom at the moment, so I'm hoping she won't get it before her second jab in eight days time.

I'm not sure I can drop the physical distancing thing or mask-wearing that quickly, however.

Emerald5hamrock · 21/01/2022 08:13

I think they should have kept vaccine passports, they'll have a nightmare time if they need to introduce them again.
France, Germany ETC are keeping passports AFAIK.

eggandonion · 21/01/2022 08:52

But with half the world not vaccinated, there is scope for a nasty mutation to appear, it's only 8 weeks since omicron appeared on the scene.
I work behind a screen, I am grateful for that if masks go.

3luckystars · 21/01/2022 08:54

Well we will still have the passports we just don’t need to produce them right now.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 21/01/2022 09:41

I'm delighted but also skeptical! I thought I'd feel a lot more thrilled than I actually do, which is odd. Maybe it's the suddenness of it, I had expected an easing of restrictions not a complete abolishment of them! I'm glad but cautious. We're going abroad in the summer and I expect PCRs and covid passes etc will still be required for foreign travel. I guess we have enough experience of it now to know that things can change overnight, so fingers crossed there's no nasty new variant down the line. But for today, I'm going to try to relax about it and BE HAPPY Smile

Emerald5hamrock · 21/01/2022 10:06

Well we will still have the passports we just don’t need to produce them right now.
I'm thinking about those who aren't vaccinated, it'll be a nightmare restricting them again.
The type who believed all restrictions were against their human rights.
If they'd have kept the passports in it would help, they're the type who won't isolate either unless bed ridden because they don't believe in covid.

eggandonion · 21/01/2022 11:17

Hell is other people!
I was so pleased to get my vaccine certificate on my phone, I have shown it once!Sad I think I will just keep showing it to people, in an eccentric way.
