Ha ha Jane.

'Beautiful' isn't usually an adjective I would associate with describing the Cork accent in all fairness now gurl!!

LadyEloise1 · 29/05/2022 19:56

I love Cork and Kerry accents.😀
Waterford not so much.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 30/05/2022 16:07

Hello everyone, this thread had fallen off my watched list, I hope all of you are keeping well. I love the various accents around the country, the Cork accent is one of my favourites (also have a grá for the accent in and around Cavan!!)

The weeks are marching by, DC finishing school this week (secondary) and the primary school DC not long to go either. I am so looking forward to not having the battle of getting them up in the mornings, making lunches, making sure there's clean uniform etc etc. even though I work full time I always feel like I've got PT over the summer when I can just get up and go in the mornings!

My heart goes out to anyone who missed flights out of Dublin at the weekend through no fault of their own. What a fiasco 🙄 Surely to God DAA could easily find out how many people were booked onto flights?? We are due to fly abroad in July I hope to God it's all sorted by then...

JaneJeffer · 30/05/2022 16:25

School has already finished here as it's TY. I love not having to make lunches!

You'd need a holiday after a day at Dublin airport @LifeInAHamsterWheel Grin

I always feel sorry for the primary kids with secondary siblings. Except the ones doing state exams.
I hate airports, i am ok on planes its all the documents and gates and delays.

Iblinkedandiamold · 01/06/2022 13:44

I was at Bryan Adam on Monday. He was so good but I am still a little nervous. I got standing tickets and I stood at the back where there was space bit I could still see him perfectly.
I am wrecked today and yesterday I was like a zombie at work. 😂
Totally worth it though.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 01/06/2022 16:17

Glad you enjoyed it @Iblinkedandiamold I saw him years ago and he was brilliant. There's nothing like live music, I've not been to a concert in ages.

LadyEloise1 · 01/06/2022 17:35

So the Chief Executive of the Dublin Airport Authority went through security to fly out last weekend via the VIP service.
So he didn't have to put up with the awful delays or missed flights the plebs many of whom pay his wages had to put up.

Typical of that incompetent gobshite. He didn't go through any queue, he went straight through to his airline lounge on his platinum members card paid for by the Irish public.

There's a thread on site stuff about a data breach which I recommended everyone has a look at.

OP posts:
CliffsofMohair · 08/06/2022 12:15

I read it Jane. There is something really, really off about the way they manage data on MN.you would think they would be budgeting for super secure platforms. And this is taking into account the very high profile attacks and breaches they have experienced over the years.

JaneJeffer · 08/06/2022 12:16

I can't understand how that poster wasn't banned. They got whole threads deleted with their ranting and raving.

OP posts:
LadyEloise1 · 08/06/2022 13:41

@JaneJeffer
What poster?
What happened?
PM me if you can't say on here.
The site has been dire since they did something technically about a fortnight ago. Once I leave the house the Mumsnet app doesn't work at all for me.

eggandonion · 08/06/2022 13:44

Have I missed something interesting?

JaneJeffer · 08/06/2022 13:47

I made a thread about it but got deleted as a TAAT but it's under my data has been breached in site stuff.

I'll PM you @LadyEloise1

I don't know what's going on 😃

JaneJeffer · 08/06/2022 14:46

You're probably better off @honeyrider. I'm being called all sorts on Reddit for giving my opinion on that thread Wink

halfpasteleven · 08/06/2022 22:46

I wonder what's going on?
Is our data safe from hackers? As in, compared to other sites that require a log in?
The app has been acting up on me for the past few nights..

@halfpasteleven it doesn't feel very safe at the moment. After the last data breach I changed my email address and a couple of weeks later they sent an email to my old one!

It's really annoying to be sitting here looking at rain and reading about the weather being too hot elsewhere !

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 16/06/2022 09:58

There seems to be a diagonal line running through the country for sunny v rainy weather. Sorry Jane. Hopefully it will pick up where you are!

LadyEloise1 · 16/06/2022 20:46

It was lovely in Dublin today. What part of the country are you in @JaneJeffer ?
