Tomorrow is day 7.

eggandonion · 24/03/2022 20:38

I hope you get a negative test soon, I think by day ten you can stop testing? Sam McConkey was on the radio yesterday, he stayed positive for 10 days .

Iblinkedandiamold · 24/03/2022 20:56

What's strange is I have no symptoms apart from a cold. I still have my sense of taste and smell, no v&D thank goodness. Had a bit of a headache last week and tirdness when I was testing negative.
I am extremely lucky but I am going a big crazy now.
Hope everyone else who has it on here is as lucky too.
@Thethreecs how is everyone in your household?

eggandonion · 24/03/2022 22:28

Are you hungry? Being absolutely starving happened to me before I turned negative. I think I can taste strong flavours better. So i keep testing after eights.

JaneJeffer · 24/03/2022 22:28

What did ye think of Prince Charles' Irish? Not as good as his mammy Grin

Iblinkedandiamold · 24/03/2022 22:35

@eggandonion I'm always hungry so no more than usual. Grin
JaneJeffer. I didn't hear it must look it up.

eggandonion · 24/03/2022 22:38

I haven't heard him either. Camilla always looks like she'd enjoy a bag of chips,Charles would prefer a small salad.

'Tá áthas an domhain (orm) a bheith ann ibPort Láirge'
(I'm really happy to be in Waterford). I think.

The pronouniation wasn't good, but I understood it. The Queen was much better, but fair play to him for trying!

eggandonion · 24/03/2022 22:51

I think so too, she's had an interesting life. I don't think she'll write her autobiography though.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 24/03/2022 22:52

'Anseo'...not 'ann'.

I like your comment about chips and a small salad, egg Grin

JaneJeffer · 24/03/2022 22:55

To be fair his English isn't great either Grin

Absolutely rhetorician Smile

Iblinkedandiamold · 24/03/2022 23:09

Oh that's what he said. I had no idea. At least he tried, although they killed our language in the first place. (Not charles and camellia themselves) Such a shame that it was never thought right it in school and we are not fluent in irish and English.
If Charles and Camellia's back story is true then it is nice they ended up together in the end. They loved eachother for so long. Or he loved her anyway.

eggandonion · 25/03/2022 00:12

Sure anyone can join, wed even let Camilla in!
I was reading, god knows where, that Princess Anne doesn't eat lunch, but always has a kiwi fruit in her handbag for an energy boost.
Id eat a nice lunch if someone made me it, and have a large bar of Galaxy for the energy boost. And some crisps.

honeyrider · 25/03/2022 01:55

There were gardai drafted in from around the country for Prince Charles and Camilla's visit. I live beside Grow HQ and the hospital, both places he visited and the noise from the helicopter hovering overhead was very loud and lasted for ages especially when sitting out relaxing and enjoying the sunshine.

rhetorician · 25/03/2022 07:01

@JaneJeffer @IsFuzzyBeagMise GRMA!

Thanks for asking. We seem to be coming out of this. All feeling a lot better. Thankfully my V&d and coughing has stopped that was a nightmare.

We were all affected so differently, some had mild symptoms some didn't, eldest dd seemed to get everything, eldest ds not far behind her and the rest was fairly mild but had obvious symptoms.

Youngest disabled dd seems OK thank god, mild symptoms but so tired all the time, as she's non verbal we are not sure if she's in pain. She definitely had a sore throat as she struggled feeding but I'm SO thankful that she's doing OK and keeping her meds down.

Poor girl, that's so hard.
The weather is amazing here today, i did some gardening. Although I also sat down for a while thinking about gardening.

Iblinkedandiamold · 25/03/2022 15:32

@thethreecs glad everyone is doing better. Thank goodness your youngest is doing good too.

Iblinkedandiamold · 26/03/2022 16:28

I am gutted about the drummer from the foos. I'm so glad I went to see them now. I wanted to see them for years but none of my friends liked them. Ended up going alone. When you ate older it's no scary doing these things alone. It was one heck of a night and Taylor, wow such a talent. Gone to soon. Only 50. Makes me realise who lucky we were with my dad, he survived two heart attacks and a mild stroke.
(That was no an official cause but I read he'd been having chest pains.)
