New thread as other is nearly full now.

Yesterday when I went to shopping after work most people had masks on, except for the staff. today it was 50/50. I am still wearing mine. I have about 20 of the higher grade disposal masks left and they were expensive. Also I don't want have to start waxing me mustash or plucking my chin hairs again.

Did that thread about Ukraine with the stuff about Ireland get deleted?

Irish posters were getting pissed off the last I saw. I didn't get involved because I wasn't in the humour for it. I'd like to know what happened though

Oh no, I missed it, work got in the way.
Masks.... I estimate Marks had 75 percent wearing, Penney's 25 percent, sostrene grene or whatever it is called had nobody wearing, Brown Thomas makeup was fully unmasked. I think less people locally are wearing them than Monday.
Dh met a colleague who he hadn't seen recently, he had covid last summer and still looks gaunt. Figures are still high, and must be under reported.

I see Marks and Spencer have a special edition Colin the Caterpillar for St Patricks Day. I wonder if I should throw that in, cultural appropriaton.

So sad to read that the body of Bernadette Connolly, who was last seen at Donabate beach, has been found off the coast of iBlackpool.
Her daughter made huge efforts to publicise her disappearance. Sadly it was not a good outcome. I was hoping against hope that Bernadette had just taken time out.
Only yesterday in my local supermarket I saw a leaflet asking for help in the search.
Deepest sympathy to those who loved her.

Well, this day two years ago it all kicked off with Leo's announcement in Washington. It has been a strange old time.

Simon Harris has tested positive for covid and feels rotten with it.

The poor guy. I hope he recovers soon. It hasn't gone away!

Yes, they are. I have friends with Covid who dodged it previously.

Some of My friends and the kids I work with have gotten Covid for the second time. Some are saying they weren't sick the first time but really sick now. The adults have their jab too. Thankfully it's just like the flu for them, no hospital just stuck in bed.
It's rampant again. The kids seem to get sick quickly. I had one child go home at 12 by 1.30 I had a text saying the child was positive. The child had been a bit emotional that day but they have days like that anyway. No temperature.

One of my kids has it now. Taking masks off in school has accelerated case numbers.

I hope that any of you with COVID don't get to sick with it. One of my friends told me about 2 weeks they had got it. I was worried about them as they have a number of underlying health issues. They
said it was like the worse flu they ever got and the tiredness with it was horrible but they did not end up in hospital. They were vaccinated.
Another person I know refused to get the vaccine and is very anti vaccine. They had COVID twice now and since they got it the 1st time seem to be picking up every dose going. They work in a job where they are dealing with the public and are no longer wearing a mask.
