I’ve found an island in roaring water bay that is offering wild camping @ thefourofus and others who are fantasy planning their holidays

Not a chance - I saw a trailer, that told me enough.

I would love that, but DH would divorce me. We "glamped" for a friend's wedding a couple of years ago and he still complains about it! We had a teepee with a proper bed and lights/heat but he was affronted by shared toilets/showers. I wouldn't mind but he showers communally in work Confused

I'm really enjoying the good weather, it's so tempting to have people round though. My neighbour and I had a lovely unplanned catch up on Easter Sunday over the wall of the front garden. We sat three metres apart with the low wall dividing us, had our own bottle of wine etc. Still felt like criminals!

@MissMaudSilver, welcome along to the thread, hope you enjoy the craic!

The sunny weather was fantastic. It was a gorgeous few days. Unfortunately, we put the patio furniture out yesterday and as we did that, we jinxed the whole thing and it was overcast and chilly today.
On the upside, my mother got her first jab today :)

JaneJeffer · 16/04/2021 21:25

Oh so it's your fault Fuzzy

Tá brón orm!!

I even said it to DH as he put them in place. He laughed, the fool, but I was right. I offended the weather gods.
Maybe if he puts them back in the shed, the sun will come out again?!

JaneJeffer · 16/04/2021 21:59

According to DH (if you can heed him) the nice weather will be back next week.

JaneJeffer · 16/04/2021 22:02

Miggeldy's carpet is making me cross eyed.

It's very swirly alright :)
Apileofballyhoo · 16/04/2021 22:05

I hardly ever do this but I'm place marking! I've missed nearly the whole thread!

JaneJeffer · 16/04/2021 22:10

Aww the poor man hasn't met his grandchild yet Sad

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 16/04/2021 22:12

Yes! That's tough. She is a year and a half old.

Ooh, I hope so. We're hoping and planning for a weather-dependent meet up for my friend's 50th next weekend now that our 20kms overlap. Haven't seen her since last summer. We have to hand over the Christmas presents too - they've been under the hall table all this time and are covered in dust!!!
TheFourOhFour · 16/04/2021 22:21

I think the Áras is a pretty swirly zone.

JaneJeffer · 16/04/2021 22:26

I still have my SIL's Christmas present in my bedroom @Joolsin !

I can't even remember what's in the presents - it'll be just as big a surprise for me as it is for the recipients when they open them 😄

@HaHaVeryBunny thank you
I'm awake since 5.00am thanks to the singing blackbirds. Why do I always wake up early on Saturday? Gave up on sleeping and got up an hour ago. It is nice to drink my coffee in peace in the sunshine but I'd prefer a lie in.

AnnieJ1985 · 17/04/2021 09:00

I am meeting my sister and her kids in a park today! Last saw them at Christmas. So excited! The weather actually looks alright too, hopefully it will hold glares at Fuzzy

BiddyPop · 17/04/2021 09:37

It looks like some clouds today, a small amount of rain tomorrow morning but drying for sunny afternoon, and other than rain all day on Tuesday, a relatively fine week ahead. So maybe the weather gods are just arranging for the furniture to get a good wash before being used? (DH is off for a walk and plans to buy steak to bbq on his way back, so he's hopeful).

Keeping all fingers crossed!! (Maybe bring an umbrella?!?)

Have a lovely day, Annie and enjoy the reunion!

Weather is quite nice here now, light jacket required.
Man next door is wearing a gilet.
