It doesn't take much effort to create a slush fund - we pay most of our bills from a joint account into which we both transfer money but we round it up to the nearest tenner. It comes in handy for the odd unanticipated jobs or bills that crop up. But a tea caddy would work just as well - I also have similar but I save a £1 a day - I have avoided touching it up till now!! 🙃
