My new colouring book arrived today @Frugal25. It’s double sided pages so I will have to make do with gazing at it. That’s very exciting about booking the wedding venues.

Thank you for the hugs @DirtyGertiefromno30. I’m trying to convince myself that the 89p a box might be good value but collectively it’s quite a few 89ps and lots of sugar so stop. Today is day one.

Managed a lay low day today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Dinner exploded so I will have to improvise tomorrow as I ate tomorrow’s today.

I've been looking at the Argos toy sale and they have some good buys on there TBF. Thanks for the heads up @Cuwins .

£40 off the shoes was a very good saving @Twogingercats with one pair for Christmas 😁👏.

I get you re day one about the jam tarts, it's all too easy to keep trying to compensate for our problems with food , drink etc . Good for you nipping it in the bud ❤️

I have been for a bit of retail therapy today . Nothing major just £12 M&S , Tesco £20 , Primark £16 , Waitrose £10 and Asda £8 . I really enjoyed myself.

Been to see Mum who was fine there thankfully. Popped to the Drs & my ECG was normal thankfully 🤗 🙏.
Went to see my Mum's friend , took her some books l found in the charity shop like brand new they were !
50p each so that was £2 .
Nothing else spends wise but l forgot to pay the TV licence so £180 on that as well 😱.

Costco again today, £40, on baking supplies and other bits.
Mary Berry is lovely, and I trust her recipes @Frugal25 , but she is extravagant with the butter.

@DirtyGertiefromno30 , yes to the second hand books! I always look out for those for Mum, often cheaper than a magazine. We donate those she doesn’t want to keep.

I love second hand books and that's the way I've found two of my fave authors tbh.
I bought DD my fave book for her first birthday, more of a gift to look back on rather than read at that age. And it had an inscription in to someone for their birthday, so I added my own underneath it. Like a little history trail.

NSD today. WFH and had leftovers for lunch. Window cleaner still not charged me but I know that's coming.
Tesco delivery standing at £104 this week which will be delivered Saturday.

Can't go wrong with Mary berry but yes, the extra butter is a lot but boy does it taste good.

3lb down in weight loss. 21lb to go. I shall fit into this dress! Even if it is with the help of a warm tub of goose fat and a wire coat hanger.

Today I’ve spent £3.92 in Aldi. That includes four boxes of blackberries and raspberries so I’m happy with that. Then £1.99 in sainsbury.

Oh Aldi crisps are good @DirtyGertiefromno30. I go for either ready salted or cheese and onion. They taste much nicer that they should given the price point. Love how you enjoyed your shopping. I hope you have things you like. Glad your ECG was normal. And that your mum is ok.

My weekend has started. I will play with my colouring books this evening. I had a reply from a job I applied for. I wasn’t shortlisted. They had 644 applicants. After yesterdays exploding eggs I had Aldi’s version of pasta and sauce. I added extra cheese and vegetables. Day two of being jam tart free.

I bought a lovely red striped top in Marks and a Pilates top and joggers for my Dd2 in Primark . She loves Pilates and would go more if the classes werent so expensive bless her 🤗.
Yes to go going into charity shops I love finding my childhood books my favourites in there . Oh I love that you have done that to your darling daughters book it's made me tear up, it's a trail of love ❤️

Oh I am sorry about that job application , my daughter applied for one in the civil service, that she seem absolutely perfect for, it was one job and they were 1000 applicants 🙄.

£2.75 on eggs from corner shop. I ate the last 2 this morning and OH was eyeing them up so got some more so he can enjoy tomorrow.
OH mentioned that I may not get as much as I think in the 1st full time pay packet. So I've tweaked budget to manage my expectations. Does mean, if he is correct, that I can't pay off credit card this month so fingers crossed my Mr right is wrong.

Bring on 5pm. That's all I'm saying. Making pizza after work and I can't wait to eat it and have a glass of wine and forget about work for a bit.

Necessity @Frugal25. I’d love to spend more. I read somewhere going shopping at shift change times is good as that is when the reductions go out. But I’m a party of one you have (I think) others to think of so that, I imagine, makes it more complicated. I just buy what’s there. My fingers are also crossed that Mr Right is wrong. Quiet day today. Watched Judy Justice. Tried not to think about work or job hunting. 36 tins of tomatoes arrived. Did some colouring. Took a nap. No jam tarts.

Good evening.Sainsbury's £18on a few bits, lunch stuff for picnic tomorow, mostly. Cooking this afternoon, more flapjack as Mum and DH have eaten it all When she saw the monster boxes of oats from Costco, i suggested she have porridge for breakfast on cold mornings, but Mum says she likes flapjack better.
And a fruit loaf cake. DH found a frugal deal at the butcher’s, 24 sausages for the price of 16. Not sure whether this is really frugal or licence on his part to consume more sausages. Mum helped peel and chop another lot of stewed apple for the freezer. The cat is not frugal, having decided she not only dislikes the salmon variety of cat food in the box, but does not like the pork one either. I told her as much but she waved her tail at me and looked quite unrepentant. Gala dinner for the shelter cats!🐈

@Frugal25 perhaps you won't pay it all this month but every £ you pay is one less £

I have a day off tomorrow got a few things coming up in the next few weeks so need to do some shopping and prep work. Pray for my husband's sanity tomorrow. It might be "so busy" I "can't believe how long it all took" tomorrow.

I tried telling my dog about the starving children like Mum used to tell me .. didn't work. She just snuffed at me and walked off. Animals don't do frugal.

Hi all, it's been a while.

Past couple of days

£142 on toddler gymnastics for DS the term + membership....we did a trial last week he enjoyed. He enjoyed it. Plus I can't get my 8 year old into this local gymnastics club as it's very good so children stay with it, and allthough im on a waiting list for her, they said the way in is really to do preschool gymnastics. Her sports club is now judo. I stayed last time but she expectation is we watch from a gallery, which is ideal when i'll have a baby to feed and change up there before school run. So money well spent

£6.95 on chai latte and muffin yesterday during a day course. This felt like a rip off as I can make a nice drinks at home, I have a hot chocolate maker/ milk frother machine.
