Here we go again ladies. I thought I would do a new thread rather than commenting on the 2024 one.

Post any updates / declines / successes here 👌🏼

Ffs missed the ‘3 day window’ again. No idea how I’m going to sort uniform for September. In my area you have to be 100% exempt from council tax in order to be eligible for Household Support Fund and anyone who is disabled (me) is not exempt from council tax due to receiving disability benefits. So despite being a disabled single parent to a child with SEN and zero child maintenance, I’m not eligible for ANY help whatsoever. So unfair

Strawbsss · 25/06/2025 16:07

Nothing here either. I’m getting so annoyed with their responses just stating ‘all will hear by 11th July’.

Just be transparent 🙄

Gotta feeling if we’re all gunna hear together it’s going to be right near the end date just to have us all waiting and wondering I’m getting annoyed waiting too now x

Strawbsss · 25/06/2025 16:19

They replied to my email saying everyone will find out together 🫩

Probably, once all the uniform offers have finished🫠

I got it 6 weeks after applying last time so did take a long time applied 18th June got it 29th July fingers crossed for this year as I need it more then ever 😔

Debboid · 25/06/2025 17:24

I went on the website just to have a look if there was any updates on there, I clicked as if I was going to apply for it and it said the deadline was over but applications were taking 4 weeks or something worded like that. So that takes us to 3rd/4th July. So I reckon the 11th is the absolute latest we will hear by but they're working on 4 weeks and will tell us all at the same time. I prefer all finding out together as last year was nt good getting it in waves i just wish they were more transparent with time scales. Theres 6,666 children that will get the grant based on 1 million in the pot so say 3000 applications will be lucky. To get it done in 4 working weeks that's processing around 150 per day 🤷‍♀️ hopefully won't be long girls xx

Interesting! I can’t see anything when I try that, just ‘this grant is now closed to applications’ x

I just attached a pic but it says under review 🙄

Debboid · 25/06/2025 17:46

Or perhaps that means other grants that are available are 4 weeks?

Vxsx · 25/06/2025 18:35

Anyone heard anything yet? Thanks

Vxsx · 25/06/2025 18:43

Sorry just noticed the messages from today that no one has heard yet. Fingers crossed for us all 🙏

Wls74 · 26/06/2025 11:59

If you aren’t successful with the school uniform grant, you can apply for their cost of living grant, it is £150 and you will receive payment within afew weeks. You can’t have both grants but always an option if you are not successful with the school uniform grant.
