I applied for this and for an email last week saying I am eligible, just wondered if anyone has been paid this or if people who have received it previously have any idea of timescale? I know it's says up to 28th Feb but curious as to whether or not it may actually take that long!

I had a letter saying id get it, never applied but had a government letter. Its supposed to go on your energy account I think, rather than in your bank? Haven't had money applied yet though.

Sorry yes I know it goes on the account not the bank, I was just curious really as it would be great to have this before Christmas, we pay as you go so any extra we can get on that electric meter the sooner the better.

Just realise I said 'paid this' which does make it look like I was expecting money!

@softpilllow yes totally agree. Would be ridiculous if we don't get it until March. Would be so handy now with it being so cold atm.

Are you sure it's legit? The government are doing it this year and they were all sent out by letter not email.

Either way it depends on your company mines being paid £75 mid dec and £75 mid Jan.

I am on a prepayment meter and in the past 6 years I have had the vouchers I always got them early March. I got the letter saying I am entitled this year but not relying on getting them until next year (even though obviously they would be far more helpful if I got them this month!).

I had a letter saying we were eligible due to our property type and size (victorian terrace), never been eligible before.

£150 was applied to my account today and we are with Octopus.

Also my Grandma had hers yesterday, she is pre payment with Bulb, soon to be Octopus.

Thanks, it's credit added to the meter, I don't top up by key/card just do it on the app so they will do the same to apply the £150.

I got a letter confirming I'm eligible the other week (was in the broader group in previous years), it got credited to my online account today, along with a confirmation email from Octopus.

Got mine, british gas, a few days ago

Octopus paid it into our account today. Pain in the arse because we're not actually eligible for it. Now I have to sort out paying it back.

My mum got her £150 credited to her Ovo electricity account last week. Hope yours come in soon.

Mine was applied to my November bill. Wasn’t expecting to get it but my house meets the criteria apparently

It's there problem not yours they should have checked tell them your struggling if they ask for it to be paid back £1 a week.

I'm not entitled to it either apparently according to .gov website
yet I was paid the cost of living payment £650. But not entitled to £150 seems very backwards to me 🤣

They have different schemes.

I’m eligible, in the broader group, but not expecting it before end of January or so. I’m with British Gas, and that’s when it was paid to me last year.

I only got a letter saying ‘may be eligible’ last week, phoned up, they confirmed I am eligible, but obviously could be anytime up until the end of March.
