How often do you wash your sheets/duvet cover ?

This isn’t a ‘I wear my bra for 30 minutes then change it’ boast thread.
I wash mine every week, but it doesn’t feel dirty at all, plus it’s just me sleeping in it. With the cost of ever going up would it be wrong to change it every 2 weeks ?

At least 2 weeks

FannySmith · 01/09/2022 21:40

Once the spunk stains from DH wanking get unsightly

Cyw2018 · 01/09/2022 21:41

Every 2 weeks (one bed each week), and weekly in a heatwave.

tillyandmilly · 01/09/2022 21:43

Weekly but I get very hot at night and my sheets start to feel damp on day 7!

chinuptitsoutonwards · 01/09/2022 21:44

We do ours weekly but I’m like you and think I’ll up it to every 10 days / 2 weeks. At the end of the day you’re the one sleeping in them so who cares?

Edgeog · 01/09/2022 21:47

Every 2 minutes

Copasetic · 01/09/2022 21:47

1-2 weeks here depending on how I feel/what time I have.

Normally every two weeks as there are five beds to strip. So I do the kids one Friday and mine the next. If I'm feeling a bit minging I might just wash the pillows to save time if it's a hectic week.

The kids have dark bottom sheets too. That helps 😄

My son has a disability SW and although it's rare they might ask to see the bedrooms on the occasional visit so unfortunately I can't go full feral. I hate changing the beds whereas I used to love fresh sheets. I blame bunk beds. What a pita

Sheets are weekly, duvet cover is fortnightly as I have a top sheet.

xogossipgirlxo · 02/09/2022 11:14

Fortnightly. I change pillowcases once a week though.

We do ours monthly, always have, although babies in sleeping bags get a clean one each week. I feel ours could probably do with being done a bit more frequently but I can't keep on top of the laundry hardly as it is, and the drying of bedding is a particular issue. The kids I really don't feel need to be done more frequently than monthly anyway (one baby and one 4yr old). I do of course change them extra if they get dirty for any reason or if someone has an illness then I will change the bedding as soon as they are better. We also air the beds every day as people mentioned by pulling the duvet right back down off the bed.

Nsky62 · 03/09/2022 23:39

Weekly, at 60 of course

Every 2 minutes

🤣🤣🤣

I do mine weekly in warmer weather and fortnightly in the cooler months. I'd love to jave clean sheets more often but don't have the inclination or the time to do so!

moneybeingwasted · 03/09/2022 23:58

I don’t actually have a time schedule TBH …my sheets approximately 1=2 weeks…teenagers when they start get stiff and smelly 😂

Cynderella · 04/09/2022 00:02

Used to be weekly, now fortnightly. I've never used top sheets, and while I can see the sense in it, I like clean sheets, so fortnightly works. I only use one pillow, but have two, so I swap them at the weekend. Husband's side of bed needs changing fortnightly ... especially in the summer.

I wouldn't judge anyone who changed theirs monthly. Or weekly if it was for a reason, but with energy costs and water shortages, weekly seems wasteful if there's no reasoning behind it.
