Do not let me go to the supermarket.... £35 for tonight's dinner and tat. I may have bought 2 x Bueno advent calendars for the kids because they deserve it.

Life with those numbers each key wasn't so bad..... still £50 Shock

Wolfcub · 11/11/2021 07:01

Moving house is an expensive business Life. You've reminded me I need to get one of the new door keys cut as I accidentally caught one in a door jamb and bent it.

Unescorted you shouldn't be allowed in a supermarket and I shouldn't be allowed near a gin bottle. There was a little gincident yesterday after a very sweary work day

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/11/2021 07:52

It’s one of a number of growing expenses in this house but still worth it.

Oops wolf and unescorted

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/11/2021 14:48

£310 new hob and oven fixed. Next week
£120 multi fuel service
Went over drawn today so saving raider.

Unescorted · 11/11/2021 17:44

It has been sweary at work here too. My first meeting was at 7 this morning and my last finished at 5. I am thankful I don't have a commute on that too. Pizza for tea tonight.

Happy news ... DD is coming home for the weekend. I am looking forward to showering her hugs and love.

northender · 11/11/2021 18:20

grannycake · 12/11/2021 05:38

£44.50 for Ocado shop - meal plans concentrated on using up freezer stash to make space. It's rammed and needs a sort out

HumbugWhale · 12/11/2021 06:43

Thank goodness it's Friday! It's been a long week and I didn't sleep well last night, am very tired. Looking forward to getting back into my pjs as soon as I get home from work!

marthasmum · 12/11/2021 08:11

Long working days for everyone. I am in a bit of a better phase at the moment and am really noticing the difference. Counting off the days til payday now! Need to do another very frugal food shop to get us through

ememem84 · 12/11/2021 09:12

am working today - usually Friday is my day off, but i was meant to have a meeting this morning via zoom so was going into the office for it. Parents having the kids and I'm swapping to a Monday off instead next week.

yesterday afternoon my meeting was moved to tuesday. but i decided to keep things as they were and just wfh today. parents already have the kids and my monday had become full of things which were difficult o unravel. so there we go.

ds is havign a sleepover with parents this evening.

just spent 52 on my coffee subscription. i'd fallen out of the habit of taking it with me to work. so am determined to get back on it. coffee will arrive at the house every fortnight for 6 months. this is a huge saving. 52 in the coffee shop will last me 18 days of coffee. and its the same shop so makes sense to do it this way. :)

have been spending recently. mostly on storage containers. boot boxes and things for toiletries. so lets not talk about that.

Have a lovely day everyone 😊

Lovemaltesers · 12/11/2021 11:58

Hope you feel better soon mrs, sounds like a day in bed is what you need and a complete day of rest. Don’t tell anyone if you start to feel better Grin

Went to see Ddad. He looked exhausted, he’s been very agitated these last few days and his hands/arms are all bruised from banging on doors Sad His hair was looking very clean and fluffy though!

ememem84 · 12/11/2021 13:34

£18 coop - milk x4, coffee (because my subscription won't arrive today and we've run out!), mozzarella, toothpaste for dd* and some chocolate.

  • i buy age appropriate toothpaste for the kids. i wasn't going to, but then tried to get dd to brush her teeth with ds' toothpaste (clearly marked 3-5). "no mummy for three. me two" (she knows its for 3 because ds keeps telling her. so ffs. separate toothpastes

£69 in Aldi last night and still need Sainsbury’s today and town
Can’t get tiny curtains for da window so will have to ask a pal
With a sewing machine to run them up as I don’t have one atm

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/11/2021 08:15

Love Flowers

More unpacked and sorting today

grannycake · 13/11/2021 12:52

Busy day here. Moved all the furniture around in the living room as my back is bad and the sofa I sat on appears to be the culprit so I'm trying the armchair which was too far from fire and TV.

Finger crossed it does the trick as remodelling the ground floor next year so don't want to buy new until that's done

Then we went to the beach with the dog for a long walk

Have also made soup and a loaf in the bread maker and am going to make a jam steamed pudding in the Instant Pot.

Settling down for the rugby this afternoon

NSD today but will probably need something tomorrow

Hope everyone has a great weekend

Mrsmadevans · 13/11/2021 15:41
