Morning.

Dh has recovered... the metaphorical DGoD has been put away.

I haven't seen much new out this weekend, except the pheasants who hang about at DM & DDads - they are fed so are almost tame.

I am out to meet friends for a coffee today so it won't be spend free.

maddenlightfoot · 21/03/2021 08:23

Morning everyone! Early risers here today too. I'm planning on taking one of the dts for a walk shortly - trying a bit of 1:1 time (or more aptly named divide and conquer!). Will update with spends later. Have a good day!

Wolfcub · 21/03/2021 08:41

Tayto the Wales match was gutting Eng/Ire my support is 60/40 anyway so I wasn't too disappointed.

Unescorted glad dh is feeling better sorry you've had a rubbish time at work again

We had the first of our freezer meal plan meals last night and it was so nice! Tonight I’m making tacos using cauliflower, courgette and a tin of black beans. The cauliflower will be roasted. We have a couple of avocados and some cheese to grate so it will be yummy I hope!

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2021 11:13

£75 sea salt as got blc to work. Coat and a dress.
Dh ate ddad Easter egg so need replace that before tomorrow.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2021 11:14

Used up baking stuff into fruit scones but no jam Sad

Gensola · 21/03/2021 13:16

life have you any frozen berries? There are good recipes online for cheat’s jam

ememem84 · 21/03/2021 13:24

Nsd. Taken the dc to the park by myself (which was a bit of an ordeal - especially when they ran in different directions...!) but we had a nice time. Took drinks and snacks and moved away from the playground to the wood area to have them. Yum.

Have been up since 6 with dd. Dh had a lie in until 830. Bastard.

Made a fruit cake too and have done some laundry.

Chicken is in the oven. Yum.

Mrsmadevans · 21/03/2021 13:42

mrs I did! I saw it yesterday. We were in dparents garden and I saw this flashy bright thing. No one else saw it. So they thought I imagined it. Until Dm saw the news.

Lovemaltesers · 21/03/2021 16:11

I’ve been a DGoDer today, without the dressing gown as feeling rough 🤣

NSD

Ddad has moved wards so visiting now not allowed, hopefully will change soon. So glad we got to see him last week.

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend!

Mrsmadevans · 21/03/2021 16:13

Life that is astronomical ! Shock
Em you don't get to see that very often ! Smile

Mrsmadevans · 21/03/2021 16:13

Don't forget your CENSUS everyone! Grin

Mrsmadevans · 21/03/2021 16:14

Love oh God l am sorry hope you are feeling much better very soon, such a shame about your Dad so upsetting for you Flowers

Unescorted · 21/03/2021 16:18

Madden did your divide and conquer work?

Mrs it is so heart breaking to see Sydney underwater. We lived in the Hawkesbury / Napean basin - it is a huge catchment (about the size of Wales) and Warragamba dam is no longer slowing down the flow.

I have been on a lovely long walk with a friend - my legs now want to fall off.

Em that is exciting. Whenever we have meteor showers / interesting things in the sky it is always pissing with rain.

Unescorted · 21/03/2021 16:21

life HOW much???!!!! Shock

Love he must feel so disorientated with being moved so often. I hope it settles down soon.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2021 16:22

Have you been walking slightly hunched over, groaning love. Not doing it properly otherwise

Did my census last week. Nowt changed between then and now.

I wonder if joining forest England will make it cheaper if we go regular. It went up at peak times to £10. Day light robbery.

Mrsmadevans · 21/03/2021 16:24

Unescorted is the problem from global warming l am wondering. Has the Dam now become too small for the rainfall ? It seems as if we can expect a lot more problems with flooding and climate change in the next few years. I am sorry you are upset over it , l honestly don't know what the hell is happening with the World, last year they had those catastrophic fires and now this . At least they have squashed the Pandemic there that is one consolation.

Unescorted · 21/03/2021 16:34

It holds enough water for the whole of Sydney for 7 years assuming no rain. When I was there is was always well below the lip. I don't ever remember it overspilling. It holds 7 times the volume of water as the harbour (you can tell who was a swat in geography). There was a thing a few years back to increase it in size but that would have meant flooding more aborignal lands because they were worried that Sydney would run out of water.. The last time they had rain this bad was in 1961.

I suspect there is some global warming effect. Storms are getting more intense and weather systems tracking slightly differently. You can see that here too.

You shuffle don’t you? In the dgod?

Had chicken for dinner - leftovers will be lunches tomorrow and stock. But for now everything is in the fridge and I cba to sort it out.

Anxiety is strong today and I’m
Exhausted. Also due on soon so that’s a possible factor too. Sigh.

We went to see dsis today so the dc could meet her cat. Neither had been in her apartment before as it’s always easier for her to come to us. But they were so confused. Ds wanted to know where her stairs were....

They loved the cat though!

Home for fruit cake. Baths and bed. Didn’t bother with dinner as we ate at 330. And they ate a lot of roast dinner plus pudding plus crispies and sweeties at dsis house. So. Dinner was a write off.

Have done laundry today. And sorted three loads for tomorrow.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2021 20:30

Ha yes em, a painful shuffle

Good God Unescorted it must be absolutely immense! Sadly l suspect it's climate change too. You can see it here too you are right Sad Sounds like a super day Em you are so lucky with your Dsis being close to her Smile Life nice bath and a good nights sleep will sort you out Smile
SnugglySnerd · 21/03/2021 22:09

Been watching Line of Duty, have been looking forward to the new series for ages. Already hooked!

SingToTheSky · 21/03/2021 22:35

I’m excited! Not watched it yet, I need to read/watch a summary of the previous series first. Currently filling in a crappy form (not the census as that was earlier and was fun in comparison 😂) so will watch tomorrow!
