snuggly I thought it was wild but turns out one of the big houses near the stables has them in the garden. And it probably escaped.

northender · 18/03/2021 23:58

wolf People's energy came up best for me too so I've started the switching process
born it's interesting what you say re the NHS. I totally agree & am very disillusioned. I work in physical health in what was originally a mental health trust. In a recent restructure, all nursing director posts (5 in all) had to have mental health or LD background. I'm waiting for the trust to set us adrift to be picked up by Virgin. I looked at my pension projections today, 10 years to go is my plan.

SnugglySnerd · 19/03/2021 06:40

I need to change energy supplier too, got an alert from U Switch yesterday. Might do that tonight.

ememem84 · 19/03/2021 06:55

Payday!!!!!!!! My a cou t has never looked so healthy!!!

Unescorted · 19/03/2021 06:57

Happy Friday people.

I have a 10 year retirement plan too. I used to define myself by my job - now it is something I do to keep body and soul together.

DH gets his stabby jabby today... I am predicting a dressing gown of doom for the weekend.

Wolfcub · 19/03/2021 07:47

I am jealous of the 10 years to retirement. My plan was always 18 from now but I am irritated by what that does to my pension vs 23 years from now. I am developing a plan. I also wonder if I have another promotion in me which would help enormously but might not be so good for the stress levels

OP posts:
SingToTheSky · 19/03/2021 08:27

My plan is more like 10 years to get a career underway 😳😂

Lovemaltesers · 19/03/2021 09:32

Having a right chuckle here. “D”mum has messaged Dbrother to ask for help with something, he replied that she needed to tell him what he needs to do. So she has messaged me to ask for help, the unworthy second child 🤣

Lovemaltesers · 19/03/2021 09:32

I dream to retire at 60. 50 would be living the absolute dream!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/03/2021 09:43

I'd be hiding the dressing gown of doom. Or leaving him to stew and having fun.
Oh how unworthy you are love. A dfriend has similar and it is a source of much venting

Retirement pah I reckon 20 years. Might do another promotion too but don't fancy any higher

Unescorted · 19/03/2021 09:44

Love - Grin. Although you are very worthy. You have been there when she and your DDad needed day to day practical support, you sorted out his care and diagnosis. You have spent so much time running from pillar to post to make sure they are safe and getting appropriate help. Sometimes when people are so effortlessly awesome they are underappreciated.

sing - I haven't been able to find the ops manuals dwp. They appear to have hidden them from the search facility on gov.uk.

10 years will put me in the over 60 bracket Wink

SingToTheSky · 19/03/2021 10:17

Oh that is both hilarious and frustrating love what did you reply?

Appreciate you looking unescorted 💐💕 I’m feeling ok about it. Good actually. It’s not like I don’t have evidence I’m trying already. Just finished my second lockdown qualification and had my first volunteer training session on Wednesday (it was so good!). I’ve been proactive about building a future for myself while dealing with a lot of shit at home. Feels like it’s my time now IYSWIM.

ememem84 · 19/03/2021 10:41

@Lovemaltesers

Having a right chuckle here. “D”mum has messaged Dbrother to ask for help with something, he replied that she needed to tell him what he needs to do. So she has messaged me to ask for help, the unworthy second child 🤣
Haha!!
Lovemaltesers · 19/03/2021 13:36

sing I replied with a website link. Not heard anything since! DH has said he will go and check out the work on her house this weekend, he’s a nicer person than me right now.

Ddad was ok. He’s aged and looked really drowsy. He spent most of the time I was there looking for something, and the rest of the time we chatted about going shoe shopping for going in the army. He showed me his toes and pretended to put shoes on. Bless him.

Mrsmadevans · 19/03/2021 14:30

Afternoon everyone , MumBob both had their hair done yesterday , that was a palavar l can tell you Hmm, took us ages to get them in there and get it done and then home again. Took Mum home and she was terribly breathless & wheezy , her legs swollen right up so we had to take her to see the GP. He gave her a week of doubling up on her Fruesemide and a few 2mg of Diazepam because she was getting so anxious. Anyway gave her an extra dose when we took her home & an extra dose this morning and she is much better by the time we came home. I cancelled her Dentist appt this morning . Dr was very kind l have to say , he told me l did the right thing in taking her and that next time l can ring and they will triage her to see what to do she won't need to attend. So l was really busy yest and just didn't have time to come online Smile
Love well done second unworthy child , hah how about brilliant daughter instead Smile bless you lovely Flowers
Well done Sing Smile
Unescorted nail on the head ! Smile
North Flowers
Em I hope you enjoyed your Pilates Smile
Snuggly your day sounded lovely yesterday Smile

Mrsmadevans · 19/03/2021 14:37

Nearly forgot shopping in Lidl Fear are you watching? 🤣
Thank s may cheer Everyone up. Third pic is my Mum's false teeth, we couldn't find them anywhere, they were under the bed , l took a pic because they looked so funny! 🤣

northender · 19/03/2021 15:48

10 years sees me to 60. I have 20years in the 1995 scheme, 27 if the changes are brought in. So that will be the majority of my pension & my pension age for that scheme is 60 (originally 55). So the impact of leaving the other scheme 7 years early wouldn't be so bad

Mrsmadevans · 19/03/2021 17:18

Talking about birds have you seen these Ravens

Wolfcub · 19/03/2021 17:36

That's a great video Mrs.

Have had a very busy day moving heavy things. I am very knackered and very sore. Will be spending the next week on the sofa bed as well so suspect tired and sore will be a persistent story

OP posts:
SnugglySnerd · 19/03/2021 17:44

I've also had a busy day of lifting heavy things! Plus loads of cleaning.
Spendy day though, top up shop in Lidl £27 then spent 80 quid in B&Q on paint, rollers etc and some big storage boxes. Have also ordered some bathroom storage from Amazon.

Lovemaltesers · 19/03/2021 18:19

DH has had a letter saying he can get his stabby jabby too. He’s early 40s, no conditions. Currently not letting him book though online or 119 though

Unescorted · 19/03/2021 18:43

The ravens are lovely.

love I am glad you had a good visit with your dad.

Sing I am please you are enjoying your training.

Wolf I heavy lifting makes me so sore too - possibly because I am not the most toned of people atm.

The dressing gown of doom has not made an appearance which is fabulous.

I have a whole week off Grin

In frugal news I called the car people and they gave me an additional £300 off the car - I only rang to say that I was a bit tardy getting back to them and did the quote still stand.

Mrsmadevans · 19/03/2021 20:07

Unescorted yay a whole week off! Grin yay no DGOD Grin Yay 300 quid off Grin
Wolf Flowers
Snuggly well done love! Smile
Love that is excellent news Smile

ememem84 · 19/03/2021 21:09

Busy day chasing the kids round. But nsd.

Paid into my savings and some cash off my credit card. Yay. Expenses were reclaimed from work so made sure I sorted the cc out.

SnugglySnerd · 19/03/2021 22:17

I love ravens! I was surprised how bug they were at the Tower of London. Similar size to a buzzard apparently. I thought they would just be like crows!
