I feel exhausted just reading what you’ve done today mrs . You deserve a few 🍬 and a Brew

Ha, I bet people regret being rude to you em

ememem84 · 05/03/2021 15:20

love I’m just not a pushover. I was brought up to stand up for myself. which is odd as ddad now has a proper thing against women who do this...

I just don’t see the need for fuss. This pandemic has brought out the absolute worst in some people. And the best in others.

SnugglySnerd · 05/03/2021 15:30

Great vaccine news Mrs and good news too about your dad Love.

Busy day here, lots more spring cleaning and decluttering.

Wolfcub · 05/03/2021 15:43

Yay for vaccines Mrs and good that you're able to get information about how your dad is doing Love

Car in garage for service and MOT, picking up shortly and will find out what the damage is

Three bags of (mostly nice work) clothes sorted for charity and a couple of bin liners for the bin.

The three year shredding project is finally complete, I have shredded by last unwanted/unneeded piece of paper from the hoard

House cleaned top to bottom. Bathroom Sink drain degunged with the help of an old pumpkin knife Envy(not envy)

Batch of chilli made - 2*2 portions for the freezer and 1 portion for me tomorrow. It's a bit hot. Discovered that a double size pot of oregano had emptied all over my cupboard so set on cleaning the kitchen again after sweeping it all out

Census completed.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 05/03/2021 17:41

And restrictions will be lifted so we can all go back as of 15 April.

Unescorted · 05/03/2021 18:26

It is the end of the week YaY

Love I am glad your dad is out of hospital and you are getting info.

Mrs good news on your jab. I must be a blur with all that whizzing about.

Wolf I am tackling my spice cupboard this weekend. I need to make up more chicken rub, garam masala and berbere (sp) as well as consolidating the small jars into their storage jars. I suspect I too will be clearing up afterwards.

Covid restrictions have made people grumpy and officious here too. It really has brought the worst out in people. I can understand people are frightened but rudeness is not the way forward.

Mrsmadevans · 05/03/2021 19:39

Ahh thank you all re the jabs and the cheering me on Smile
I am so pleased for you Life that is great news re your Dad Flowers
We haven't had the census either Em Shock fab stuff re the Office yay! Grin
Unescorted l tipped a load of Chicken seasoning all over the place yesterday, which then led me to clean the kitchen Grin so be warned it may lead on to a mammoth cleaning task Grin
Wolf l hope it wasn't too expensive lovely , you have done so well today go you! Smile

Fearofawelshplanet · 05/03/2021 20:05

Mrsmadevans I have my first vaccine tomorrow! You did amazing in the sale at M&S, I used cashback to buy slippers from there last month they were quality!
Unescorted join us on the dark side of the middle of Lidl Grin
McDonalds for tea on DH cos I have been teachy teach most of the week in our class while we are childcare and the teacher prepares for the return of the masses! Loved every minute but tired. Easy freezer teas this weekend not sure how I will react to corona virus jab, I was so poorly when I actually had corona virus last year.
NSD, well I have spent but husbands money not mine, Yay!!!...no that is frugal me thinks.

Fearofawelshplanet · 05/03/2021 20:09

Love - ad news is brighter concerning your dad..
Waiting for census here, I like doing those. Co op offers renew Monday I shall be waiting
Lidl bargains yesterday Mrs were the shortbread with a voucher, the little pack of 6 chocolate bars were lovely, the fruit juice with barleys is easily as good as robinsons and the smoked cheese in my pack up was absolutely le yum.

Unescorted · 05/03/2021 20:21

Lidl, Library, fish market and Chinese supermarket are what I miss about working in Manchester. I might travel once a week when we go back....maybe.

SingToTheSky · 05/03/2021 20:54

Glad to read about the vaccines and your dad love

No census here

Lost track of spends, what a week 🙄

Mrsmadevans · 05/03/2021 21:23

Come to the dark side Unescorted Grin
God Sing l am glad you haven't had your census forms as well l was starting to get worried Smile

AmberItsACertainty · 05/03/2021 21:26

Unescorted I sometimes fantasize about traveling the 200miles back to London for a proper Chinese takeaway. I envy your cooking skills. I just turn things into coal. Despite not owning a cooker to burn things on, a few months ago I managed to accidentally toast a bag full of bags, which caught fire and melted the toaster too. I am a liability.

Mrs that floral dress is lovely and such a bargain. Congrats on the covid jab too.

Wolf you've been so busy. Hope the car passes the MOT.

Fear the middle of Lidl is great isn't it? I don't go in often but always manage to find something I want.

Em your Dgrandma is funny. I guess the wickedness is better out than in Grin. Sorry you've had all those rude people in your space.

Love great news about your dad being back in his dementia home.

Curls fingers crossed for DS negative covid test so he can return to school.

I've had a good NSD.
Started with shutting the door in my rude neighbors face, who wasn't banging on it because she had a disaster but because she's an entitled twat who thinks she can tell me when I can use my own bathroom.
Lovely peaceful and sunny, but cold, walk by the river this afternoon with DP skimming stones.
Frugally let out the side hem on a pretty dress this evening to accommodate my expanded lockdown butt, whilst singing along to an old CD. I'd forgotten how much I liked that one.

Unescorted · 05/03/2021 21:27

sing hope not in a bad way

AmberItsACertainty · 05/03/2021 21:28

Sing hope you're ok.

Mrs I haven't had my census form yet either.

Mrsmadevans · 05/03/2021 21:41

Amber thank you lovely, l am most relieved re the census forms and the vaccination Smile

AmberItsACertainty · 05/03/2021 22:02

Mrs you're welcome 🙂. I'm not sure what group I'm in for vaccine. I have underlying health condition but not sure if severe enough to qualify. I might have to wait for the next rollout.

Wolfcub · 05/03/2021 22:04

Service and MOT were a practically bargainous £230

Sing hope you are okay

OP posts:
Unescorted · 05/03/2021 22:34

Amber you tube and having a whirl are your cooking friends. If it was left to my parents and school I would only be able to cook the books and avoid cooking my brakes. Feminist upbringing in the 70's - bless 'em.

SingToTheSky · 05/03/2021 22:38

Ah cheers lovelies just letting everything get on top of me a bit. Roll on Friday when school is back! 😆

Mrsmadevans · 05/03/2021 22:39

'Service and MOT were a practically bargainous £230'
Wolf that is excellent!
Ours was £255 Shock
Amber are you suffering from any of these ? If so then l think you should have been invited for an appt l think. You don't have to tell me lol l just found this on the England website
www.england.nhs.uk/2021/02/nhs-offers-covid-jab-to-clinically-vulnerable-and-people-65-to-69/
The JCVI defines clinically vulnerable people as those with:
chronic respiratory disease, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis and severe asthma
chronic heart disease (and vascular disease)
chronic kidney disease
chronic liver disease
chronic neurological disease including epilepsy
Down’s syndrome
severe and profound learning disability
diabetes
solid organ, bone marrow and stem cell transplant recipients
people with specific cancers
immunosuppression due to disease or treatment
asplenia and splenic dysfunction
morbid obesity
severe mental illness

SingToTheSky · 05/03/2021 23:04

It is worth ringing the GP amber I got a letter myself (previous gestational diabetes is now a risk factor) but DH is eligible too and hadn’t been contacted.

SnugglySnerd · 06/03/2021 07:17

Well done on the shedding Wolf. That's one of my jobs for next week. I have a big box of paperwork to sort and either file or shred. It is a job I hate so I keep putting it off. The box is one of those ones from a Kallax unit so it has been out of sight out of mind for ages and easy to ignore. I have taken the box out and out it on the bedroom floor, my rationale being that if I have to keep.moving it out of my way it will get on my nerves and I'll do the filing to get rid of it!

£20 Lidl top up shop yesterday. Lidl is fab for nuts, I always stock up when I go in. Today should be nsd.

Unescorted · 06/03/2021 08:24

Sing I hate it when all the little things add up. And then people think you are totally overreacting when you explode over the milk being left out.

I can't wait for Wednesday - even though ds is no bother to have about I am looking forward to the daily punctuation of getting him to school and back. DD only has one week left of term so it will be her time to have no daily structure.

I need motivation today - I only have 6 pages in my sketchbook. Then I can start my new one... I think I am subconsciously scared of it because I have not done any drawing for ages. Sorting the washing is looking attractive.
