Mrsmadevans · 31/01/2021 20:19

Probably not....

I’m leaving him to it if I’m honest. I’ve told him to sort himself out. In a nice way.

I’m still in with dd. I made a break for it earlier but because it’s dark I tripped over her slipper. And she woke up.

Mrsmadevans · 31/01/2021 20:43

Aw Nooooo , the dreaded creaking of the floorboards or the tripping over the slipper or the creaking of your bones as you try to creep out . All guaranteed to wake the sleeping child Hmm hope she goes off to sleep soon for you SmileFlowers

ememem84 · 31/01/2021 21:07

Still in here. Have given calpol. We are at almost hoir and half now. I’m beyond annoyed.

I just want to relax and wind down before bed.

Dh is downstairs and can’t possibly come up here because his eye.

I need a pee. But if I leave the room......

Unescorted · 31/01/2021 21:18

em eye washes are so good.

Mrs that is a beautiful cake.

Mrsmadevans · 31/01/2021 21:24

Oh God Em l can feel your fear and frustration Flowers
Damn your Dh and his bloody eye!
Unescorted thank you so much l am so pleased with it Smile

ememem84 · 31/01/2021 21:46

I’m in our room. I managed to escape around half hour ago. Phew.

Dh is still sulking because eye. But meh.

Tomorrow is feb.

I am back on the no spend for me wagon. I broke earlier and splurged on feel unique.com.

Mrsmadevans · 31/01/2021 22:30

Em l don't blame you re the feelunique splurge , in fact good for you! MEH MEH MEH indeed. Am very suspicious of your DH eye problem. Am wondering if he said about the eye after the nap and knew there would be a prolonged bedtime tonight. I realise l am very cynical , so ignore me if he is in pain Hmm
Glad you have escaped the room hope you have a good sleep Flowers

PeanutButtaCups · 01/02/2021 03:21

Hiya, up super late tonight. Elijah is poorly, I think it’s just a cold, he has a slight temp but that’s gone down after some calpol. We’ve made a bed on the sofa and are cuddling up watching Thomas the tank. Elijah is under the blankets somewhere😂.

em that pub sounds amazing! The pub next to me is just your basic, but I’d love a pub with an open fire. There was a pub like that where I used to live as a child, and my mums boyfriend at the time used to deliver food to them and me and mum tagged along. The lady there made us hot chocolate and we sat in front of the fire as it was really snowy. It was brilliant! Glad you got DD to sleep, hope DH sorts himself out!

I’m sorry to hear you’re also feeling a little bit off snuggly, I hope a lazy day has done you well and you feel slightly more yourself now.

un I still watch horrible histories now! It’s on Netflix and I find it hilarious!. We do talk through CBeebies, I rarely just leave him to watch it by himself (unless I’m having a wee or making dinner). It seems like a lot of people let their kids watch it though, I thought I was an awful mum for letting him watch it after seeing threads about people only letting their kids have 15 mins screen time!.

amber take it easy and be kind to yourself. I hope you’re able to get some time to chill, and gather your thoughts💐

The craft corner sounds lovely madden, I’m in a tiny flat so my living room is used for everything, it does make a mess sometimes!

You’re definitely not lazy wolf, your lazy day is a good day for me!

Sorry you’re also feeling a bit bleugh fear, I hope you’re feeling better now. Sometimes a day or two of being kind to yourself can really do the trick.

tayto your dinner sounds amazing!

Welcome crows!

Beautiful cake mrs!!

Hope dd slept the night em. And dh eye didn't fall out.
Lovely cake
Not much to say but reading your news

ememem84 · 01/02/2021 07:32

Ds slept though (without his dummy because he’s a big boy now mummy). Dd slept through. Catface slept through (on the pillow next to my shoulder). I was awake at 530 but dozed until 645.

Dh still asleep. I’m up with the dc now. Both dressed ready to go to grandma and grandads today.

No idea if dh’S eye has fallen out. If it carries on today I’m going to insist on either taking him to dr/A&E or removing said eye myself with a spoon.

Am meeting Dfriend with her new Baby for a walk at lunchtime. Yay.

Currently watching CBeebies. The presenters always have such cute jumpers on. Wonder where they get them....

Fearofawelshplanet · 01/02/2021 07:32

Morning all!
Much better day Peanut thank you, couple of days has done the job. Hope your little one is on the mend...
Mrs - that cake is so pretty..
NSD.
Cleaning and sorting today before work tomorrow. Have a great day all!

Wolfcub · 01/02/2021 07:36

Morning all. Frugal fail today, I hadn't realised the RHS membership was on auto renew

Annual alarm service fee also gone out of the account this morning so it's definitely not a nsd

Happy February Y’all!!!

May this month be brighter lighter and more frugal than last!

My daffs have started popping open. Yay.

Goals for this month.
No unnecessary spends. So no clothes. Toiletries. “Stuff”.
Really work on savings
Less screen time.
Read at least one book
Declutter at least one item a day from the house.

Gensola · 01/02/2021 08:00

Ooh good goals em
My Feb goals:
No booze
15000 steps a day
Stick to my yoga challenge (yoga 5 days a week live on zoom!)
French 10 mins a day at least

Wolfcub · 01/02/2021 08:27

There is an interesting article about pensions in the FT today

Good idea re Feb goals Em, I will have a think.

Last day off today, need to clean the bathroom and the kitchen floor and take down a big blind to send off for repair.

Em I have a mental picture of your Dh popping his eye out and putting it in a glass on the bedside table.

It has taken me a kazillion years to get through to the Dr's... the practice nurse will call me back at some point this afternoon so I can tell them that it hurts up to my elbow, is red and oozing green pus. I guess at that point they might let me make an appointment to speak to a dr.... and they moan when people use the out of hours service. Apparently they have had a lot of people calling today .... that is because their online booking service is giving a 404 error.

SingToTheSky · 01/02/2021 10:21

Phew. DH covid negative.

Wolfcub · 01/02/2021 10:44

Unescorted that sounds quite bad. If the doc doesn't ring back I'd take that to minor injuries to be seen to.

Sing great news

There's a story you've reminded me about Unescorted re my dad and one of his past clients...remind me when we have our meet up at the sculpture park

Bathroom cleaned. Blind down. Downstairs windows cleaned. Quick whip round the kitchen. Just about to mop the floor because it's minging after all the bad weather and then sit down and read

Bornlazy · 01/02/2021 13:09

Unescorted that sounds serious. I hope you get away with oral antibiotics and don't need IV.

January was a reasonably frugal month for me and I finished the month with £300 which I have transferred to savings.

Peanut I hope that your ds is better soon

Unescorted · 01/02/2021 13:49

Sing that is awesome news.

Born I hope so too. When I ring back (in about 90 minutes) I will put on my Ocsar winning poorly voice.... I think I may have sounded too upbeat so the receptionist thinks that it is a bit of a scald.

Unescorted · 01/02/2021 13:50

wolf I am intrigued
