lifelongfrugaleer · 12/01/2021 19:52

Just be you Mrs.. I'm sure the food parcels were appreciated

ememem84 · 12/01/2021 20:19

Oh mrs that’s so sad. Sending lots of love your way and your cousins way too. Coincidentally I’ve just lit a candle so sending some light and brightness your way too xxx

AdoraBell · 12/01/2021 20:35

Very sorry for your loss Mrs

SnugglySnerd · 12/01/2021 20:47

@Gensola

mrs I am so sorry for your loss, your poor cousin. Lots of love to you all.

snuggly the marking experience is exactly like that, they send it in at mad times, don’t save it in a format I can open, don’t put their name in the file name so I end up with 100s of “homework week 1” files.

Yes totally! Unfortunately it is submitted via an app rather than email so I can't set up an auto-response, otherwise that would be really useful Unescorted. I have to use video too so the kids can see me/the work, demonstration etc. I make the kids switch off their video though which speeds it up. I am starting to enjoy the online teaching though, it is totally different and takes some getting used to but it is easier each day!

So sorry to read your sad news Mrs. Thinking about you Flowers

SingToTheSky · 12/01/2021 20:48

Mrs that’s so sad I’m sorry 😰 lovely of you to help them with food xx

DD1 back to school tomorrow, due to being vulnerable she’s allowed in for mornings only but in the SN support centre, different from last time which has thrown her a bit but they have to be so much stricter now and I think it’ll be good for her to have a TA to support her with work, she’s really lucky. 💐

Unescorted · 12/01/2021 20:51

Oh Mrs that is sad news. I am sure she appreciates you coming round.

Morning Grin

I am on a 2 cups of coffee type of day.

Work is very thin on the ground.... my weekly to do list is not going to take more than an hour because it was written by a person who does not understand Excel. It looks long and impressive but is about 3 formula and a simple chart. I may put more effort into the non monthly paydate problem for our budget planner.

Gensola · 13/01/2021 09:36

unescorted surely every day is a 2 cups of coffee day?! Grin

Happierwithouthim · 13/01/2021 12:05

The burn that life refers to was mine I'd say. I fell on a patio heater during the summer and burn both my upper arm and back of my calf on my right side. It needed several dressings by nurse. I'm currently using roll on rosehip oil by Trilogy on the scars and then are really fading with it. Got it in a set with some lipgloss and everything balm also.

Did my car insurance quotes this morning. Renewal was €664, I've got it with €0 excess, no claims protection etc etc with itsforwomen for €435.00. I put away my €500 Christmas bonus from work every year to cover it, some years I've to put money with it other times it covers it. The remainder is going into my sinking fund for house insurance for when I buy my house. I hope to pay house insurance & local property tax(although hate giving government money before it's due!) upfront too and then have sinking funds for 2022 payments.

Lovemaltesers · 13/01/2021 12:12

Been a tricky few days here with my dad, I now seem to be having daily calls with his nurse, I’m so worried. We’ve got a meeting with the dementia crisis team later which I will go to too.

Apart from that, waiting to hear what days DD2 gets given for school. She’s had 20 kids in her keyworker class this week and they are reducing that 😬 Looking forward to the conversation with my school when I have to insist on wfh days.

Lovemaltesers · 13/01/2021 12:13

Not been too spendy though. Bought a blu ray for £2.24 earlier. Desperately trying to reduce the amazon spends.

ememem84 · 13/01/2021 13:11

i was on coffee number three - then thought maybe i should switch to something else. then realised that its decaf. so cracked on with it.

i am cold today. so so cold. but it is wet here too (although i haven't left the house yet).

i am in need of chocolate.

nosd today so far although £60 when i go to my osteo appointment later on and get beaten up (i hope she has heaters...)

parents visited this morning (to drop off their car so i have something to drive tomorrow when mine goes in for its fixing - needs a new radiator fan...) and i got the usual covid rant from ddad. im bored of it all now. just want him to stop ranting. he thinks anyone who has the vaccine is an idiot. bring brainwashed. etc. fun fun fun. disengage emily

ememem84 · 13/01/2021 13:12

ememem84 · 13/01/2021 15:55

Woah woah woah hold the phone mrs maple and pecan matchmakers?!?! What sorcery is this?!?! Where did you get them?!?!

I bought all the flavours I could find - mint (a classic) orange (also a classic) gingerbread (yum) salted caramel (to die for) over Christmas but never saw maple and pecan!!! I’m sad and envious now.

SingToTheSky · 13/01/2021 16:22

You know what I miss? In the early 00s they once did a tropical box. They were white chocolate I think, and flavoured like pineapple and probably mango or passion fruit. They were soooo good.
