Awesome Life...

Happierwithouthim · 11/11/2020 15:10

Bought part of ds's present to his godmother for Christmas, jigsaw sorting trays, she loves doing jigsaws at Christmas time. It's not really a present suited to many but I think she'll use it. Will get something treat like also. That and 24 pk of childrens birthday cards €19.57 from amazon

Gotta decide if I'll continue with Prime once trial ends, I'm think I should for black friday at least.

The other day, someone I work with was on a conference call. They managed to have a long conversation with me about numerous issues to deal with, replied to some texts, write a letter, eat some food and then run off to talk to a colleague all whilst learning Grin

Work here is very testing. When i decided to up my skills, I really regret doing HR instead of finance right now. Spreadsheets are much kinder/ less demanding!

I’ve been ordering Christmas gifts so not really frugal here either.

SnugglySnerd · 11/11/2020 21:40

Have just logged off from work. I need matchsticks for my eyes! Being so busy stops me from spending though I suppose!

Nice to read good news about uni xmas break, house sales and mattresses!

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/11/2020 06:39

Sainsbury's double up was rubbish for us. No clothes in right size. Didn't need anything else or it wasn't included.

I'm relieved and a bit sad about the house. We've been here a long time and had lots of life events here

SnugglySnerd · 12/11/2020 07:19

I will feel the same when we eventually get round to moving life. The house is driving us mad in lots of ways, we have outgrown it really, but we got married and had all the dcs while living here and it is home.

This is an amazing programme about renovating your home to suit your family needs better. Last nights was incredible, although I'd have preferred the female architects vision, what they did was fabulous too.

Payday today going to get a few bits from uniqlo, haven't a notion of measuring myself with a tape here at work. Would medium be around a size 12?

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 12/11/2020 12:58

And they have pulled out of buying. Not pleased is an understatement.

I'm an 8-10 top and wear a small so I would imagine m will be ok

CamdenLurker · 12/11/2020 13:05

Happier - medium is a 12 in Uniqlo stuff, the size checker is also quite accurate if you put your details in.

CamdenLurker · 12/11/2020 13:07

Thanks for the replies
life that sucks Sad

Lego talk makes me laugh, I got ds a lego ferrari for his birthday, distraught last night that Lego don't check their stuff properly because it won't fit right, and it looks so cool, 30 secs later sleeping on the couch, half sitting half lying and in his full school uniform Grin
Have told him I'll help him with the lego today as I finish early and collect them on Thursdays

I love that programme! I always prefer the female architect's ideas. He's rather too fond of bench seats all over the place!
SnugglySnerd · 12/11/2020 18:40

Sorry, posted too soon. That's rubbish Life, so sorry.

ememem84 · 12/11/2020 20:32

£344 on credit card for Christmas lottery tickets. On the scratchies we won 16 free tickets and £58. So will plough that back into the tickets. This is work syndicate by the way and I’ll expense it back. £15 per person will come from our salaries. I was in charge of organising this year hence my spend.

Top prize is usually around the £1million mark.

No other spends.

Dd went down after 36 minutes tonight.
