Wolf I hate not being able to sleep. I hope you dozed off eventually. Rubbish about your xmas leave too.

Hope you got some sleep too Em. We still have to sit with dd2 while she goes to sleep. She often has us up in the night too although thankfully she settles much quicker these days.

Playground duty day and I can hear the rain outside Sad

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/11/2020 06:40

My next haircut is now December. Boo

Oh dear wolf that sounds shit. Both the lack of sleep and the on call. Was that the attic carpet? Will the sofa go in?

Pleased dd slept and hope she did. For you em Flowers

Got to get my dunhelm order today £23. Need fruit

maddenlightfoot · 03/11/2020 06:53

Ah wolf sorry about the crap sleep. I have trouble getting to sleep but am usually ok once I do. Either way, sleep is life and really effects everything - hope your night was ok em. I really believed and had great success with CIO with eldest dd - returning after 1min, then 2, then 3 and so on. She'd likely be asleep by the 3rd return, however dts would make themselves sick with crying or hurl themselves out of their cots if I even attempted to look the other way! They do sleep well now though.

Small spends today. Need some eggs and a small birthday gift. Have some houses to view and some batch cooking to do.

ememem84 · 03/11/2020 06:54

@Laska2Meryls last lockdown here I lorded it over dm who has been on at me since I had ds to get a short hair cut. She has a pixie crop too. So needs a trim every month. My hair just grows and I tie it up and get it cut and coloured maybe twice a year.

I was due a cut today but it clashes with Pilates and I have to wear a mask. So cancelled. Will rebook for before Christmas. If we’re not locked down by then.

Dd stayed in her bed. We tried the controlled crying and it was much easier. Dh was adamant that bil and sil had cried it out with their boy. But speaking to Bil last night he said they controlled crying. Which is much less bruatal.

It took Dd 20 mins to go to sleep the first time (bedtime). Then she fussed at 930. But lay downs nd nodded back off. Then 20 mins at 130 (which bizarely included a nappy change very unlike her!) and then nodded off. Dh got up with her once too. But she went back to sleep.

Wolfcub · 03/11/2020 07:22

Life yes the attic carpet, looks good. Sofa won't go up there at all so is in my office. Chair for the office will hopefully go in the attic when it comes

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/11/2020 09:10

£112 office chair as mine is broken.

Mrsmadevans · 03/11/2020 09:27

Morning everyone 😀
Beautiful day here ☀️
So glad you had a better night with DD Em 🤗
Wolf sorry you couldn't sleep lovely 💐
Off to MumBobs now have a lovely day everyone 😀

CurlsandCurves · 03/11/2020 10:38

@ememem84 glad DS slept. I’m the same as you re hair. I just let it grow till I can’t stand it anymore and get it cut and coloured a couple of times a year.

Aldi and Morrison’s this morning, both lovely and quiet, no panic buyers and no shortage of anything, phew! £160 total but needed a few extra bits that I wouldn’t normally buy, such as Voltarol for DH which was £9 alone.

Got a Zoom legs bums and tums class in a bit, then my interview late afternoon.

SnugglySnerd · 03/11/2020 18:45

I have my hair trimmed about twice a year! It is so much easier longer - just it back.
A lot of the boys at school today have had really short hair cuts. I expect they are hoping they will last. The ones who have it shaved round the sides and long on top are going to look interesting in a few weeks!

Wolfcub · 03/11/2020 18:48

£90 Christmas beer order including at least £35 of Christmas present in there

Mrsmadevans · 03/11/2020 19:23

How did the interview go *Curls? Hope you get it Smile
Snow on the Brecon Beacons this morning will put a pic on in a min.
My Dd2 cuts my hair and l usually put it up with hair claws or a hairband, much easier l find .
Have to get my act together re Chrstmas. I did buy 2 presents today from B& M, a waterproof speaker for Dd2 £15 and a Clean Cotton Yankee Candle (large) for the bargainous price of 15 pounds. I thought it was a bargain anyway Grin

Mrsmadevans · 03/11/2020 19:41

Here is pic of Brecon beacons this morning 🤗

CurlsandCurves · 03/11/2020 20:21

Hey @Mrsmadevans gorgeous photo! I’d heard it was snowing on higher ground.

Interview went really well. It’s definitely a case of personality, and if we all click. I think we got on, I hope they liked me enough!

ememem84 · 03/11/2020 20:44

Met Dh for lunch we went to McDonald’s. Yay!!!

£160 bras and pants. I needed new as mine have all started breaking. Used a gift voucher.

SnugglySnerd · 03/11/2020 21:37

What a lovely photo Mrs, it looks beautiful there.

I need bras too Em. I keep putting it off because of the cost. Why are they so expensive??

maddenlightfoot · 04/11/2020 06:20

Pen y Fan 🥰 - one of my happy places Mrs.

Working today... little dd woke up at 5:50am for a wee so I popped downstairs to make a cuppa and brought it back to bed - now I don't want to get out!

We're in a house buying quandary - ours has sold but now we can't find anything we like. We're viewing as many as we can but not much coming on the market. I viewed a good house/garden last night but the area was just too far out from where we want to be. Is it usual to fall back in love with your house a little bit after it's sold 😳 ?

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/11/2020 06:45

Nice photo
I think so Mrs as your house looks it's best to sell and you know it.
Picked up my dunhelm orders, had a look at tk and the range but not inspired to buy
£19 aldi

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/11/2020 06:45

Brr snow. It was cold yesterday

ememem84 · 04/11/2020 07:23

snuggly I managed to get passionata ones for half price - special deal in the shop. But yeah. So expensive. I got 6 bras and 4 matching pants. Two of the bras were black and nude the rest bright cheery colours so didn’t need the black and nude pants as have loads.

Dd slept better again. Asleep by 745. And she didn’t wake until 230. Then asleep until 5. Then woke up again at 615. Dh did bedtime. I did 230. Dh did 5 and I got up with her at 615.

Wfh today. Waiting for dh to have a shower so I can get myself ready and get on with work. Have to get kids ready.

Looks like it’s going to be loveky and sunny today so fingers crossed I can get some laundry out on the line to dry.

Happierwithouthim · 04/11/2020 08:44

madden I think so too, I still miss my old house but in my case it wasn't the house I wanted rid of it was living next to my ex h. I always said if I could just pick it up and move it somewhere else it'd be perfect!

I think you're right about the day em I'd a wash and a half ready to go out on the line but hadn't time to put them out this morning, maybe if I'd gotten up when I woke at 5.30 instead of finishing my kindle book in my cosy warm bed I could have. Will have to put a kylie sheet for ds into dryer though because 2 are wet from washing machine and 1 is wet from last night Hmm

Got my divorce paperwork from court so need to get that off in the post to ex, must check if it's registered post, presume it is, if that's the case it'll be tomorrow before I get to post office.

Have only spent money once since last thurs other than breakfast club and school bus(planned expenses). Not all NSD's but only regular bills gone out.

@Taytocrisps where did you get your wreath from please?

I've had an idea from last year to use the baubles from our family Christmas tree decorations to make a wreath and then get new ones for our tree for our first Christmas away from the family home. They're 12 years old and I'm sick of looking at them tbh!!

Saw a magazine in Dunnes just for wreaths and they had one done and it reminded me of my idea Grin

Off to MumBobs 🤗

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 04/11/2020 11:40

Hi all, lovely to see you wreck!!

We're okay, plodding on, still struggling with dd and her mental health 😕 Camhs are bring quite good and she's going to see a psychiatrist in the next couple of weeks.

My dad's still in hospital, there's loads of covid cases on his ward now which is a worry.

Finances look abysmal but actually going into another lockdown will probably be good in that respect as I won't be able to spend as much! At least not unplanned spends 😬

That all looks quite depressing written down but actually we're okay!! Planning on meeting my mum later as she wants to buy me done walking boots for my bday which is later this month. We're also going out for dinner tonight as a lockdown eve treat!!

Our little dog keeps us smiling and is definitely earning his title as a therapy dog for both of us!!

AdoraBell · 04/11/2020 12:03

Spendy day.

Local shops have reduced prices, particularly on Christmas themed chocolate etc.

£18 on advent calendars, chocolate for DH’s present and a very large bar for the fridge. Yes, the fridge gets chocolate for Christmas, and I look after it 🤣

I was going to get Christmas PJs for DDs but the queue is around the block.

Mrsmadevans · 04/11/2020 12:10

Girlie so glad you are ok 💐
Good news re DD CAMHS support. Hopefully Dad will be ok in the ward, they are testing like mad in our hospital here. 💐
Enjoy your evening meal and aren't our pets just wonderful ❤️
Have just popped into Morrisons for a takeaway & but yes and bobs , 21£ spend . Beautiful day here sunny and bright 🌞
