Nooo chunky all the way! (Although everyone in my family disagrees so I always have to blend theirs after)

northender · 31/10/2020 22:03

I had to google amirigumi Wolf! Looks fiddly.
Bought the last ever pair of school shoes this morning for dd. Also some shoes for dh. We had shareholder discount vouchers for Clarks (a third off) from mil. £100. Overpriced at full price but ok with the discount. £150 grocery shop, but am very well stocked now.
Roast chicken for tea, should be plenty for another meal from it.

Mrsmadevans · 01/11/2020 08:22

Morning everyone 😀
Strange Halloween yesterday, l really didn't like it tbh. Used to seeing the little ones coming in their costumes 😒
Nevermind big effort next year for defo.
Need to get a move on with Christmas now 😀
Off to MumBobs in a bit, not bad weather wise here , have a lovely day everyone 😀

Wolfcub · 01/11/2020 09:42

Morning. I'm currently sitting on my hands so I don't shout at someone on a lockdown thread

Also thinking I need to go and buy some walking boots. I've been saying for ages I need some and have done nothing about it.

Christmas stamps added to next weeks shopping order.

Ds is in full teen fool mode. Not sure I have the patience for it.

Need to get cash out for the carpet fitters tomorrow

northender · 01/11/2020 09:54

I hid the covid topic a while back wolf and have just joined the antidementor thread which suits me!

SnugglySnerd · 01/11/2020 10:09

I keep reading all the covid school threads even though they depress me. I should just hide the topic too.

Wolfcub · 01/11/2020 10:41

Ordered my friends Xmas present as order books are closing Wednesday

northender · 01/11/2020 11:13

I have hidden covid and aibu topics & it makes such a difference for me.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/11/2020 12:09

I hid the covid topic right at the start. CBA with that shit.
Retail park had queues out the door.
£24 Iceland and £10 Aldi

SnugglySnerd · 01/11/2020 13:16

How do I hide a topic? I know how to hide threads but there are quite a few topics I could do without I think. Several of them just stress me out!

Happierwithouthim · 01/11/2020 13:41

This is the one I've seen recommended

northender · 01/11/2020 15:47

Hey wreck I've been here all along. I think this thread is like Hotel California, you can check out but you can never leave! How are you?
Snuggly how are you feeling about going back to school?

WreckTangled · 01/11/2020 15:51

Hmm north I must have missed you in my last peruse. I'm ok thanks not much exciting going on here Grin

Mrsmadevans · 01/11/2020 16:01

Wolfcub · 01/11/2020 16:16

Wreck bloody wonderful to see you.

SnugglySnerd · 01/11/2020 16:23

@northender

Hey wreck I've been here all along. I think this thread is like Hotel California, you can check out but you can never leave! How are you? Snuggly how are you feeling about going back to school?
I feel a bit disorganized for it but that is quite normal for me after the hols. I am always way too ambitious about how much work I will do at home and forget that the dcs will take up every waking minute Grin. Covid-wise I keep lurching between feeling ok and quite worried. I would rather be teaching in the classroom than online and the work load involved in doing a mixture (e.g. when kids have to isolate) is awful but I will enjoy being there. Thanks for asking.

Lovely to see you Wreck! Please stay!!

CurlsandCurves · 01/11/2020 16:46

Hello, not been here for aaaages.

Just catching up. Blimey, all you organised people buying for Christmas already! I don’t know where to start.

A few changes round here. DH has changed jobs, gone from self employed to paid employment and he’s loving it so far. So we’ve wound up the business which means I’m no longer a partner. Which means I can look for work myself, yay! In the middle of a pandemic and national recession and everyone’s looking for work.....oh.

I’ve got an interview on Tuesday for a small part time job, but it’s in what will be a non essential shop. I’m hoping the interview will still be going ahead. No reason why it won’t, the successful person (me, obvs 🤞🏼😆) will just start in 4 weeks time.

Managed to get my boys in for a haircut tomorrow. Was supposed to be getting nails done next week but the lady that does them is working flat out till Weds so I’ve moved my appt to this week so I get sorted and she gets as much business as possible before she closes.

If anyone’s on Instagram, check out dealboy on there. He and his girlfriend are brilliant at spotting mainly amazon deals and prices glitches and there’s been loads of toys on offer recently. Definitely worth a follow. I’ve had a couple of beauty bits (Sanctuary cleanse and polish down to £2.49!) and also booze offers.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/11/2020 17:21

Hey wreck

Ive been doing online Christmas shopping and planning. ££££ though.

Mrsmadevans · 01/11/2020 18:35

Thank you Curls have added Dealboy to my IG account Smile
Good luck with your interview!

AdoraBell · 01/11/2020 18:49

£60-ish on a grocery delivery for DD1, her Uni is lockdown.

Yesterday was spendy, finished Christmas shopping. £46 for both DDs presents, we bought laptops for Uni so just small presents to go under the tree.
£40-ish on DH’s presents, local shops reduced almost everything even before the latest announcement.
£8- ish on bits to go in Christmas stockings.

YY to hiding any topics that stress you. When I first discovered MN I woke up one morning thinking about an YABU thread, then realised I had an actual nightmare about said thread. Crazy.

Good luck for the interview Curls

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/11/2020 19:03

Good luck curls

SnugglySnerd · 01/11/2020 20:04

Great to see you Curls and good luck with the interview!

Wolfcub · 01/11/2020 20:04

Good luck Curls
