Mrsmadevans · 31/10/2020 16:31

Wolf if it is Manga you want my Dd1 loves Manga she has loads l will ask her what is suitable for a 14 yr old , l will ask her now won't be long Smile

Mrsmadevans · 31/10/2020 16:33

According to Dd1 best Manga series ever is Death note , 1 Piece , Fairy tail, Naarruto, Full metal alchemist, my hero achademia.
Hope that helps Smile Cag will give you more ideas too l am sure Smile

Mrsmadevans · 31/10/2020 16:35

Life l have been looking at hauls on You tube for ideas because l don't want to go into the shops and browse due to Covid risk l just want to get in and get out asap, honestly there is no joy in going shopping anymore is there!

Unescorted · 31/10/2020 16:45

we have arranged to go to Oxf tomorrow to see DD for lunch.

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/10/2020 16:51

Yes! Unescorted

No shopping is shit.

D's is getting into manga, thanks mrs

Mrsmadevans · 31/10/2020 17:13

Life You're very welcome Grin .Dd1 loves it , she has spent many of our pounds on it !

Mrsmadevans · 31/10/2020 17:13

Lovely! Have a great time Unescorted Smile

maddenlightfoot · 31/10/2020 17:14

Aw thanks Mrs. I'm still not great at budgeting but I am quite good at squirrelling bits away here and there so if there's a time we've overspent (because of our budgeting 😂), then it's not too much of a panic. However, it still would have been tight without November/December plans being curtailed. Even just saving on diesel helps.

Unescorted that's lovely 😊! Have a great day.

It was torrential here this morning but gorgeous, sunny and blustery on the beach this afternoon.

I'm just finalising my online shop - I want us to eat much more veggie as a family but I'm hitting a rut with ideas - any veggie brainwave ideas before 11:59pm greatly appreciated!

Mrsmadevans · 31/10/2020 17:28

Madden l get the ' just saving on diesel helps' because it really does!
It has been lovely here this afternoon, we were lucky l think . I know it is a shame re the plans being put off , everyone is so fed up .
I wonder if anyone can tell me why my Dd2 BFF has to take 14 days off work after having a negative test on day 7 after exposure, Her work want her to stay off until a week Tuesday! She was exposed on Weds the 22nd she took the test on Weds the 29th.

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/10/2020 17:32

I think as symptoms can develop within 14 days so a negative test doesn't mean she won't still be incubating it.

Happierwithouthim · 31/10/2020 17:35

Another nsd here debated getting daily mail but decided against it

Unescorted enjoy!!

Soup was amazing & frugal yesterday 4 portions from half a sweet potato, an onion & a carrot and a generous handful of red lentils plus tbsp curry paste & half can light coconut milk le yum was low cal too Grin

Wolf sounds good, most people just spend their increase so what you're doing is great

my next budget overhaul will be when I get house, also there'll be deduction from my wages for health insurance some of which will be balanced out with tax credit

I'm debating a projector for dc for Christmas and it's reduced on Amazon, have been debating it since lockdown really and everyone and again the person posts it on Instagram again!! It's in my basket now

Oh. No tayto storm woke me at 7am but I snuggled up and woke me again at 10am and I did the same and surprisingly didn't wake again until 11.58am I rarely sleep in so it was lovely

North smooth soup I don't like chunky soup, dsis allowed me to borrow her ninja bullet while she's away and it makes pancake mix so smooth, dd is learning to cook a few bits her repertoire includes rashers, scrambled egg, pancakes and pasta. She's 10. I'm thrilled because I guess I was similar age when I started

Ds birthday next week and others asking what they should get him I don't even know myself what to get him.

Em zoo membership definitely a good idea and means it doesn't have to be a big ordeal to go Little and often then

Mrsmadevans I'm used to it now it's annoying alright. When we move I'd say we'll barely speak to each other we'll be so engrossed in technology and the internet!!

Mrs thank you that's fab. I'd looked at full metal alchemist so good to know it gets a recommend and I've not looked at death note or 1 piece so I will look those up too. I can't believe what they cost for things with so few words!

Unescorted that's fab news re lunch

Happier I'm very tempted by a projector. I have a friend who uses one for movie nights with her kids and it looks great. I'd be wanting a short throw one to project onto the chimney breast from the coffee table

maddenlightfoot · 31/10/2020 18:30

Ooh me too! A projector is a fab idea for dh Xmas. Which one have you got your eye on?

Kids just wolfed down brand on toast. Have to remember that most simple things are veggie (and cheap!)

Mrs we have a splash out Xmas dinner planned at a lovely restaurant near you (whitebrook) but have a feeling we'll be saving on that too 😢

Mrsmadevans · 31/10/2020 19:14

Oh right l see . Yes l should have thought about that thank you Life

Ohhh very nice too ! We shall see what's occurring at Christmas Smile might be lucky, we never know Smile
Wolfcub · 31/10/2020 19:19

That's £36 of manga books on order, thanks Mrs

Mrsmadevans · 31/10/2020 19:20

You're welcome Wolf l know, it is so expensive but it's very artistic
so my Dd1 says Grin
Happier you will really appreciate it when you move Smile

SnugglySnerd · 31/10/2020 19:45

We had a little Halloween party with the dcs this afternoon. It was a lot of fun, they have all had far too much sugar and bounced around which was manic at the time but they have all now crashed out exhausted! Hopefully they will stay asleep until a sensible time in the morning who am I kidding

I have more or less done xmas shopping for the dcs as I thought something might happen like another lockdown. Plan for all our parents is to order nice treat delivery things like beers/Christmas food/flower arrangements etc nearer the time which just leaves dh and a couple of friends and their kids who I buy for but Amazon or the supermarket should be ok for them.

northender · 31/10/2020 20:12

unescorted I'm feeling excited for you!. Enjoy!

Mrsmadevans · 31/10/2020 20:24

Great forward planning Snuggly well done!

Wolfcub · 31/10/2020 21:19

I have orders an advent calendar just in case.

northender · 31/10/2020 21:25

I prefer smooth soups too Happier. I do a very similar one, but don't put coconut milk in it, will try next time.
