£2 on chewing gum for DD2. I’m sending her a few things she forgot for Uni.
£4-ish on coffee

We took DD2 to Liverpool on Monday, so that was spendy. Overnight for me & DH, dinner with DD2, that was £40 then business lunch yesterday £30-ish.

apumpkinaday · 01/10/2020 21:39

Thanks for the decor love.

The DC love it mrs, I shall go crazy for Christmas too!. It is crazy how quick time goes, I’m trying to enjoy these times as it won’t be long until mine are grown up.

£9.99 on some jam jars to make some Christmas jam.

ememem84 · 01/10/2020 22:12

I haven’t decided for tomorrow yet. I have w cold too now as does dm and dsis. Dd has the beginnings of one. So so we cancel. I don’t want to but want people to enjoy themselves. I want to serve wine not lemsip. 😂

Dd seems ok. No more spots have appeared. Ds knackered after a busy day at preschool.

Dh managed to move furniture all on his own.

I felt the guilt te not working today but you’re right mrs I never go sick. So it won’t matter.

Wolfcub · 02/10/2020 06:24

Happy birthday Em

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/10/2020 06:44

Happy birthday em x

ememem84 · 02/10/2020 07:17

Thanks guys!! Early start here. Dd was crying at 430. Sigh. 😅

Dh and the dc bought me some new perfume (marc Jacobs perfect - smells all cucumberry and fruity - bottle is super pretty) a bottle of gin and a voucher for local dept store so I can buy stuff.

I’m also having a cake delivered. Ds said “daddy where’s mummy’s unicorn cake?!” So spoiler alert!!!

ChristmasSeacow · 02/10/2020 09:06

Happy birthday @em have a lovely day.

Grrrpredictivetex · 02/10/2020 10:02

Would anybody happen to be on Vodaphone and have a code I could use (only 1 person allowed) for the mugs and cakes?
bakedin.co.uk/pages/vodafone-offer-2x-mug-brownie-mixes
Would really appreciate it.

Lovemaltesers · 02/10/2020 11:12

Happy birthday em. I’ve just googled your perfume- lovely bottle! I’ve recently started using Marc Jacobs and decided I will start a bottle collection when empty as they are so pretty!

Frustrating morning here, rushing here and there! Had to take DD2 home for fresh socks as she had a meltdown as they got wet taking DD1 to school. Got DD2 to school just on time.

Also had a phone call from John Lewis saying two of our gifts were ordered too late to come tomorrow. Then five minutes later, a redelivery from yesterday from parcel force had one of said items in it! 😂

I had to rush from blood test appointment to be home for said package as I had no idea what it was and it was due to be delivered when I was out.

Pharmacy can’t find my new ear prescription. Doctors say they have sent it. Argh.

Hopefully my trip to Tesco in a minute will be calm and sensible 😆

Happy birthday em!

ChristmasSeacow · 02/10/2020 13:27

Omg, my food shopping costs are ridiculous this week. I’ve done my normal (not very frugal) Ocado shop, but couldn’t get everything I needed to make Christmas puds and mincemeat so went to Sainsbury’s after pilates this morning. I spent a FORTUNE and then went to Waitrose for Madeira to put away for Christmas (as it is next to sainies, and the Madeira shelf is often empty near to Christmas). Anyway, I am £120 lighter but I did get 2 bottles of naice Madeira, a few items I couldn’t get from Ocado, some baking stash and some wine for gifts. Still, phew!

I can’t believe the day has half gone Hmm. I’m out to dinner tonight, lunch at a friend’s tomorrow, and out for lunch with other friends on Sunday. It’s a bit too much socialising for me in one weekend but I didn’t feel I could delay anything in case it becomes impossible to reschedule! Next weekend I’ll do absolutely nothing Wink

CamdenLurker · 02/10/2020 13:31

Happy Friday everyone!

Christmas - glad you got the towels, I ordered some from the White Company a few weeks ago and felt so guilty at the £££, but oh my goodness they are on another level!

Girlie - I can sympathise hugely with DD issues, I have two teen dds and they are exhausting, it's such a struggle, they can be the loveliest girls but equally can send me to the edge. I hope things have improved.

Fab decorations orange - you seem very organised, I used to put decs up as a surprise for when we got in from school, kids loved it.

Em- seriously considering getting a Chinese tonight now lol, hope you have a lovely evening.

I'm off work today, been for a leg wax and picked up a few bits for stocking fillers from TK MAXX, the weather is terrible, pouring with rain and freezing. I'm determined to get well on top of everything for Christmas this year, spent a fortune on stuff from the Christmas Bargains thread so far. For the first time ever I've put money away every month so already have a pot I can dip
Into if I see something.

Hope everyone is having a good day - it's almost the weekend!

Wolfcub · 02/10/2020 14:41

£555 decorator, £4 screwfix

I have cleaned the bathroom floor, made cake, cleaned the kitchen and living room, washed the coffee table, bleached the sink, two loads of washing, painted one side and one edge of three doors. Touched up bits of bannister that decorator missed and which will annoy me. Filled three step edges. Did ocado order.

Just waiting for the Tasmanian devil to come home. Hopefully he's less vile than this morning

Mmm Sea I love Madeira, haven't had any for ages

Bornlazy · 02/10/2020 15:20

It was freezing here this morning but actually turned into a lovely day. I got a load of washing out and dried and had a seat out in the sun. I fell asleep and woke myself up snoring drifted off for a while and have pink cheeks.

Spends today £42 Homebargains and £12 Lidl it was £22 but had my £10 off voucher to use. I'm working the weekend so hoping for low spends.

Happierwithouthim · 02/10/2020 15:31

First purchase for Christmas bought myself & dc matching pjs from Leigh Tucker range at Dunnes Stores, I won a €10 Dunnes voucher during the week so balance cost me €24.76

Fantastic came Em

northender · 02/10/2020 15:53

Happy birthday Em
Wolf keeping fingers crossed your ds is on better behaviour when he gets home.
I'm envious of your socialising Seacow. When I go out, I feel like a criminal here, even though I'm always really careful.
Excellent xmas PJs Happier
Born it's been nice here too. Dh & ds are in Devon where it is definitely not nice today!
Camden well done on the Christmas prep. I've got one present for ds so far...
