anorangeaday · 28/09/2020 23:42

Glad you’re feeling more positive now em

He’s feeling a lot more himself mrs not completely himself but he’s on his way back to normal, which is great. Fingers crossed DD can get in her house soon🤞🏻

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/09/2020 07:09

£££££ yesterday but on wedding stuff and Christmas shopping.
£52 cleaner today as double clean for photos, any more Christmas stuff which I must pass to DM to store but the rules have changed in the NE now.

I'm thinking we are brewing for a fight em. Hope you are ok today.
Hope the migraine and sickness bug have passed.

Happierwithouthim · 29/09/2020 07:45

Must be the time of year for it. I also fought with bf at weekend, and I'm being honest, it was me doing the fighting. I was hormonal and cranky because of house plus I had a few drinks and I took it out on him, but I felt let down by him during the week and what I did say needed to be said but spitting it out at him after a few drinks wasn't the best way to go about it.

First thing I said when I woke in the morning was that I'd have said all that I said sober also. We talked it through. We're all good now.

Must talk to ex re Christmas too if it will be harder to get stuff.

orange hope your ds feels better soon. And that dsis gets over her heartbreak quickly, very sweet of you to get her gifts

Happierwithouthim · 29/09/2020 07:49

Mrsmadevans · 29/09/2020 07:55

Mrsmadevans · 29/09/2020 07:55

Very glad your Ds is better too 🤗

anorangeaday · 29/09/2020 17:35

Hi all, just got in from getting DD from nursery. She’s doing really well now, I think settling in was difficult for her. I really hope schools don’t close again, I think it will just cause her so much stress. Off for a walk now, loving this weather. I got some raspberries earlier to make raspberry vodka for Christmas. I’m trying to do more homemade things this year.

Thank you happier he’s a lot better today. It’s Dsis’ first heart break, she’s in bits but she’s a strong girl. He was an idiot anyway, I’m glad she’s out of it.

Thanks mrs, I hope DD gets in soon. Keep us updated! Hope mumbob are okay.

ememem84 · 29/09/2020 18:51

Sitting in the car by the sea waiting for Pilates. It’s a 10 minute walk from where I’ve parked.

Lovemaltesers · 29/09/2020 21:36

Sorry, been missing a few days. Life is busy at the moment. We’ve both been feeling a bit ground down by work at the moment. And I’ve still got my ear problem too.

We’ve just had a lovely evening looking at our wedding photos from the photographer, it was great to see some of the special parts of the day again. Also wrote our thank you letters a bit overdue I know .

I don’t think I’ve posted since we went to John Lewis with our gift vouchers. Was a bit disappointing, but shopping normally is when you actually have money to spend 😂 I think JL have supply issues at the moment too as lots of gaps on the shelves and things are out of stock online too. We supposed to be getting a small delivery of gifts on Saturday too, hopefully the things are in stock.

Just had payday. The frugaleering needs to restart properly now, as too many £££s have been spent recently.

Accidentalaccountant · 29/09/2020 21:51

2 NSD.yay.payday tomorrow. Have opened some extra accounts. 250 into general savings. 100 into annual bills account for things like car insurance and 50 into vet account. Got stung this year 're horse vet bill. Still less than they wanted to insure her so thought better put some away.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 29/09/2020 22:05

That's interesting re John Lewis love I've just complained to them as the blind I ordered didn't turn up and then with no explanation they emailed to say they'd cancelled my order!! I expected better from tbh.

They said they would look into it and I've heard nothing since 😒
I hate having an undressed window now it's getting dark.

Wolfcub · 30/09/2020 06:31

Pat day woohoo money put aside for decorator and I've paid a third off the credit card for the carpet

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/09/2020 06:43

Thank god it's payday.. Spend month last month. Pay award back dated too so. A little extra. You got your pay sorted yet wolf?

£20 riding today, £80 trombone fees. £80 carpet cleaner yesterday

Wolfcub · 30/09/2020 07:13

Promotion Pay sorted Life, our pay award is above or Dec this year but I did get my performance bonus so that's helped with paying for some of the carpet

Happierwithouthim · 30/09/2020 08:33

This out of stock and orders being cancelled gives me the heebeejeebees for Christmas shopping. I'm usually an online shopper. It needs to go right though Hmm

I've €50 left to pay off one credit card and I'm debt free then. I've got in in my account, will pay it off tomorrow as that's payday.

Yesterday I spent €14.45 on a set of fairy wings for dd's halloween costume, most of that was postage but she's using a dress we got last christmas and is going to be queen of the sea fairy or something like that. Ds doesn't know yet, I'd like to get it sorted as they're on mid term last week of the month so school dress up day will happen the week before.

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/09/2020 12:15

Great news wolf.
And hurrah on debt free, nearly happier

I'm doing my shopping now for that reason happier. Need to take it to DM to store

Happierwithouthim · 30/09/2020 12:53

I also suggested to ex that we buy for Christmas early in case of shortages and delays and he agreed.

Just logged in to other credit card and there's 0.36 owed there from a finance charge so must pay that too, it won't let me pay it online because it's too small!

Bornlazy · 30/09/2020 12:58

£40 Tesco delivery. Tried to order the chocolate oranges for 75p but they subbed them for packets of the segments ... refused them obviously.

Happier well done on becoming debt free 🎉

I have done some Christmas shopping but I'm not sure if I should wait for Black Friday to do the brunt of it. Last years was a bit of a wash out but it would be just my luck if this years was fabulous and I'd bought everything already.

I'd imagine a lot of people will need to cut back this Christmas due to furlough ending and unemployment rising. Everything is just so uncertain at the moment.

Mrsmadevans · 30/09/2020 13:41

Afternoon everyone Smile

Happierwithouthim · 30/09/2020 13:45

born we sold the family home following separation that was a massive boost to clearing my debt, hopefully I'll be taking on another mortgage soon.

born have you had the share bar of choc orange, it's lush way nice than the individual bar for some reason.

Dc don't really know what they want either so that makes it hard to shop for Christmas too.

Dd mentioned tablet and fitbit. They'll definitely be cheaper on black friday.

Mrsmadevans · 30/09/2020 14:01

Orange , MumBob are fine Smile thank you for asking and YES to hoping Dd2 gets in soon Smile very glad your Ds is better and your little girl is settling in nursery bless her Smile
Born they have loads of the Terry's choc oranges in our local Mr T but l think they were all on special stands, so perhaps your picker didn't realise because God knows they had a load in ours Grin
Happier yay to be debt free Flowers Smile
Life Am also worried about shortages for Christmas with Cv19 & Brexit, too , am going to get my act into gear and sort out my lists Smile
Lovely view Em Smile
Love l love wedding pics , le sigh, so romantic Smile hope you ear gets better very soon it is taking ages bless you Flowers
Girlie not at all like JL, they must be experiencing dificulties with staff working from home & on furlough Flowers
Wolf yay performance pay Smile Well done!
AA GREAT IDEA re the vet saving account Smile

ChristmasSeacow · 30/09/2020 14:11

Fabulous news on the debt Happier, that must feel amazing!

Sympathise with the DH tensions, DH and I also had a bit of a spat on Saturday. About not pulling his weight again. Same old, same old. I don’t think we really cleared the air though as it was just before my sisters arrived for a visit and I didn’t want to be mid-row, so no doubt it will bubble up again soon Hmm.

I am really getting stuck into early Christmas shopping now. I’ve got loads to do as I am also shopping on behalf of my mum for my sister, and PILS for various people. My credit card will be smoking this week but at least it’s not all my money really!

I’m being very tempted by some beautiful Orla Kiely towels from John Lewis. Just for ME. I wouldn’t spend so much on towels usually but I do have vouchers to spend and they will make me very happy. Stock is low so this is a decision under pressure... Grin
