wolf that's still exciting, I think my brother has bought one but he's in Canada Sad so not much chance of me driving it Sad

girlie well done on the assignments, I still feel imposter syndrome and I'm here 12.75 years now GrinHmm

em you're not far off now and three weeks to tidy it up in sounds like you're well ahead.

Spends today €20 on horse riding for dd
Yesterday was a NSD

I think I told ye I've now got a GP visit card, normally we don't visit GP much but since I've got it. I've gotten my burns dressed 4 times, had a phone consultation for chest infection, and dd has started cryotherapy too. Not sure what nurse costs to dress burns but I'm saving massively.

Wolfcub · 15/09/2020 18:31

Frugal wins, washing dried on the line.

Yesterday's roast chicken became today's chicken pie. Le yum

SnugglySnerd · 15/09/2020 19:52

It's so hot! I have no suitable work clothes for the heat, I have sweltered today in my polyester trousers and long sleeved top.
£40 in Ebay sales and got them posted off too.

anorangeaday · 15/09/2020 20:51

The children are in bed! They’ve been little terrors today, I think the heats got to them. I’m struggling with bedtime now, they both go to bed at the same time but as they’re in different rooms I struggle to put them to sleep. I’m currently letting DD watch a show on her portable DVD player whilst I settle DS, it seems to be working better than before.

Ooh lovely kettle and microwave mrs, is this DD’s first house?. The dresses were great price, £7 each so £20 for 5 is brill. Hopefully my DD doesn’t shoot up this year!. Great car for your DD, I bet she’s chuffed.

That’s brilliant happier!

AdoraBell · 15/09/2020 20:53

£4 on coffee and cake.

ememem84 · 15/09/2020 21:15

Somehow I’ve hurt my hand. Right in the middle of the back of it. It feels like I’ve smashed it against something but haven’t done anything like that in the hours since I’ve been home. Odd.

Two very tired dc after nursery today. Serious tiredness. Dd fell asleep in the car and was most grumpy when I got her out of the car. Ds reluctant to go to bed.

Lovemaltesers · 15/09/2020 21:36

I thought I’d google how to fold a paper napkin, thinking there must be a “proper” way to do it. Wow, there’s loads you can do with a napkin 😂

Wolfcub · 15/09/2020 22:07

Ouch Em that sounds painful, have you lifted or held anything heavy/wide?

Love you could make napkin 🦢swans, will keep you all busy until the wedding 👰

Lovemaltesers · 15/09/2020 22:19

You can do hearts or bunnies too wolf I’m going to see if the kids can help tomorrow 🤣

Mrsmadevans · 15/09/2020 23:31

Thank you Orange yes it's her first home , she's delighted 😄
Great bargains with the dresses l love the check Summer dresses 🤗
Hope your back is ok Em 💐

Mrsmadevans · 15/09/2020 23:44

Meant to say back of your hand Em🙄😄

anorangeaday · 16/09/2020 00:27

I can’t sleep so I’m browsing the SMYTHS website looking for Christmas ideas. There’s some very weird dolls out there, one that actually grows and another that’s always sick??. I also have someone sleeping next to me, she’s feeling a bit under the weather I think. Not sure if it’s the back to school colds or tired from the heat. We’ll see how she feels in the morning, if she’s still ill I’ll get dgran to have her for the day.

em I hope your hands better tomorrow, how odd.

love I love the bunnies idea!

Oh how excited mrs! When I moved into my home I had nothing but some cutlery, not sure what I was thinking. It’s lovely making a house a home. I love the dresses too, they do such cute designs now. I’ve also seen ones that have a T-shirt on the top and a gingham skirt on the bottom but it’s all in one, and playsuits. It was just one style of dress when I was at school!.

ememem84 · 16/09/2020 06:38

Only lifted the dc... but carrying Dd (10kg) my backpack, her bag, ds’ bag and a bag of shopping from nursery to the car while ds held my hand (other hand though I carried Dd and the shopping in my left this is my right) possibly that.

love I fell out with Dm over wedding napkins. Our place wanted £3 a napkin to roll them up tie with ribbon and put a sprig of fern in them. This was dms idea. It would have looked lovely. But we had over 100 guests and IMO no one remembers what the napkins looked like. They just dropthem on the floor or wipe their faces with them. Dm was adamant that if I didn’t want to pay for the rolled ones we could do them ourselves the night before and get to the venue early and set them out.

I told her to jog on. Argument ensued and I suggested she didn’t bother coming to the wedding. 3 days before....

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/09/2020 06:46

Ah it's the little things that make our weddings special.

Hope your hand feels better.

£95 Sainsbury's no vouchers or decent promotion but they looked to be doing change over. Only 1 till on some nearly walked out

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 16/09/2020 09:07

I've got a Toyota aygo Mrs it's a great little car, very cheap to run and no tax as the engine is so small!! My plan is to give it to dd to drive once she's 17 and I'll probably get a work lease car.

Think I've finally decided on the colours for the living room, one wall is going to be willow tree green and the other three walls cornflower white (dulux). Plan today to start preparing the room to paint it on Friday.

Dd is generally more settled now so I'll have to go back to work next week 😕

Ystd spent £17 in Wilkos on various bits and then had a stressful MacDs for £10. Annoyingly we only went into town to sort out dds bank account only to discover it now shuts at 3pm every day!!!

Happierwithouthim · 16/09/2020 10:08

mrs it was in late July/early August I got burned, it's healed I just must start using bio oil or something for the discoloured skin now.

Happierwithouthim · 16/09/2020 10:10

Everytime I see an AYGO I think of you girlie
My car passed nct two weeks ago, due to covid it got a 4 month extension so it'll expire in Sept 22. So after putting it through that I hope to purchase a newer car then.

Happierwithouthim · 16/09/2020 16:17

My mortgage has been held up due to septic tanks issues, on reading the report, it seems it's because it's not connected to a public sewage system like almost all of the houses in the country in Ireland FFS Angry

Hope this oversight will be sorted quickly, I'm paying €800 a month rent in the meantime, while my mortgage will be €440 Angry

Wolfcub · 16/09/2020 18:25

Bloody hell Happier that's annoying

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/09/2020 18:26

Isn't that the point of a septic tank where your are not on mainstream sewers

AdoraBell · 16/09/2020 18:48

NSD

SnugglySnerd · 16/09/2020 19:58
