So yesterday was a NSD, the dcs went easy on the milk, but will need milk and a few bits today.

ememem84 · 18/05/2020 11:59

£23 on coffee for dh.

Dsis is doing a shop for us today. Ds is superbly annoying today. Whiney and irritable.

Dh is working. I’m meant to be doing my assignment. But that’s not happening. Very very annoyed at dh today because he promised I’d gave the day to get stuff done.

I’ve pointed out that I had no idea his work needed him back full time until 850 this morning. When he told me.

On the plus side. I’ve sorted laundry and have already done 2 loads. Outside hanging up to dry. Dishwasher is on a clean cycle. I’ve bedded in my strawberry plants with some dry grass cuttings. And built DS a duplo fire station. And drunk 750ml water.

Afternoon everyone 😃
Beautiful day here
Bit of a fail with the Tesco delivery last night lots of things not on there. Nevermind we popped to our local Tesco early this morning and got everything we needed. Think l will stop having deliveries now tbh. The local Tesco is very good tbf to them .
Sorted out Mum and Bob did a ton of ironing.
Hope everyone is ok 🙏 getting very monotonous day on day out.

DP unearthed a set of clippers today and gave himself a haircut. He was beginning to look like a long haired collie. He let me even him up at the back. He also used the occasion to crack open a shaving brush and soap set he was given at Christmas of which he has been rather suspicious as being too fancy. The session concluded with some Nivea aftershave balm, a cup of tea and a bourbon cream. He doesn’t look too bad, will pass with a shove.
Puss is getting better. DP pampers her with cooked chicken and tins of tuna to coax a convalescent appetite. The vet has decreed different antibiotics for her ears so himself has gone to get them.
Pancakes for pudding tonight. Looking forward already.

ememem84 · 18/05/2020 14:24

£98 sent to dsis for shopping for last weeks bits and today’s. As of tomorrow I think dh can go out and about.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/05/2020 18:02

Do loss of taste and smell been added to the official symptoms. Makes me more certain than ever we had it in march/April

Wolfcub · 18/05/2020 19:39

Moved a little money to my isa rather than my annual savings account so it can gain marginally more interest.

I'm wanting to buy myself a digital slr camera for my birthday. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Wolfcub · 18/05/2020 19:43

Has anyone seen Happier recently? I'm worried she seems to have been missing for a while

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/05/2020 19:55

Happier has only 3g at home and is very busy at work by which is the only place she gets WiFi. I will messenger her just to check though.

Wolfcub · 19/05/2020 05:13

Ds has had me up all night again. I'm exhausted. I have a major day at work where I need to be "on it" and I am so tired I feel sick. Just moaning here because I have no one else to moan to

Unescorted · 19/05/2020 06:50

Ohhh Wolf that sucks. I launched at my mob last night over dinner because they were getting night giddy again, after keeping me up on Sunday night. Lack of sleep is the worst.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/05/2020 07:53

Feel free to moan at me wolf. ((((Hugs))))

Long day in work here to work suppliers.

ememem84 · 19/05/2020 08:01

Moan away wolf that’s no fun. Take care of you today. Lots of water and minimal caffeine if you can! It’ll help you feel more awake!

Have to crack on with assignment today. Ordered bright pink paint for my garden table yesterday. Will pick it up at the weekend. £23

SnugglySnerd · 19/05/2020 08:21

Oh Wolf that's rubbish. I hope your days goes well and you get some sleep tonight.

I had an exhausting day yesterday, information overload about work, dd's school and so on. I'm hoping today will be a bit quieter.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 19/05/2020 10:41

Oh Wolf, that is horrendous!
Apparently apples have a chemical in them that wakes you up better than caffeine, might be worth a go!

SnugglySnerd · 19/05/2020 11:42

Am I too late to ask about the waterproof trousers please Life? Dd actually needs some and they would be her size!

ememem84 · 19/05/2020 12:00

sat upstairs meant to be working on my assignment. dh is parenting. and trying to get ds to poo on the toilet. any tips? he is reluctant. he will wee fine, but poo? nope. poo on the toilet is "yucky" apparently.

i think we have a better chance of getting cat face to poo on the toilet if im honest.

my discovery today is that baby shampoo strips colour from hair. so the pink in my hair isn't quite as pink as it was. which to be honest is no bother.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/05/2020 12:07

Pm your address snuggly.

I recall poo on the toilet reluctance being a think. I think it's the falling away sensation they dont like. Can't remember more than that sorry.

ChristmasSeacow · 19/05/2020 15:01

I have things to say about pooing on the toilet but no time to write now - about to join a team Meeting. I’ll try to pop Back later!

SnugglySnerd · 19/05/2020 16:10

Thanks Life, will PM you in a minute.

We are having the same issues Em. No advice I'm afraid, I tend to think they will do it when they are ready. Happy to receive any actual advice though!

ememem84 · 19/05/2020 16:40

I’ve tried bribery, I’ve tried telling him all his friends are doing it. I’ve tried sitting him in the toilet and waiting (but he’s stubborn and waits it out then poops in his pull ups!). We know roughly when his time is. And know where his “spot is” but it’s catching it just at the right time!

Wolfcub · 19/05/2020 17:26

We've had another day of screaming, destruction and violence. A lovely game has been destroyed and gardening chemicals have been rubbed over my face and pillows. I am pretty much at the end of my rope

Happierwithouthim · 19/05/2020 17:52

Hi everyone 23 days without my iPhone so I'm sure I've missed loads, I won't attempt to catch up on old thread but I might try to read this thread.

I'll just post my phone related spends
€10 getting phone to & from repair place, €110 to replace charging port, battery and back cover, as it wasn't covered under warranty, got €30 credited to my mobile phone bill as I was so long without it so net charge €90.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 19/05/2020 18:00

Oh Wolf, that sounds awful Flowers

maddenlightfoot · 19/05/2020 18:25

Wolf that is not ok and I hope you're holding it together Thanks. What year is your ds in? Are school aware of challenging behaviour? Can they offer support?
