I always expected ridiculous waits and a general air of administrative incompetence at my scans Em. Somehow having that expectation made me less annoyed when I (inevitably) had to hang around. (I feel bad saying that as I work for the nhs but it’s how it was!) It’ll be good to have all the reassurance once it’s over - worth the wait.

I’m guessing boy too. Does dh have a preference then?

Lonely that cake.... amazing and yet more than a little sinister with its poor head sliced open 😂

That's your kids are definitely the prime age for picnic brainwashing. My ds will never run off while there’s food he likes on offer (after the food, however.... Grin). I struggled with dd last summer as she seemed to reject the entire concept of the sandwich, but nursery has put in some solid work there and her deep and powerful love of roast chicken is also helping Grin. And I keep them hanging on the promise of popcorn.

£9.93 on a food shop and I'm going to see if it lasts the week, as that's my limit for this week.

Someone used my bloom & wild refer code so I got £10 credit for my next order which I might use for my aunt next month as her birthday is coming up! And I used someone else's Freddie's flower code, so I get a free bunch to try out which I've sent to my mother's address.

ChristmasSeacow · 11/03/2019 13:24

Cag blueberry is the pancake of choice here with my dc. But I am very partial to a plain scotch pancake with butter, myself.

Ooh, I love a fritter. Slimming World does not, though Smile.

Has anyone seen the brilliant thread about Protestant traybakes? I want to make them all... I’ve added lots of chocolate and other sweet crap to my next Ocado shop. This is going to be extremely challenging on the diet!

Orangecake123 · 11/03/2019 13:29

@Em I'm sorry your DH is being horrible and it is verbal abuse non of which is okay. Your pregnant and tired not lazy at all. I hope your scan went well.

Cagliostro · 11/03/2019 13:45

I did click on the thread but it seemed to be referencing something I didn’t understand! So I didn’t read it all.

We are out of eggs, so I can’t make anything anyway :(

DH spent another hour on the phone to eon and got that bill sorted, we only need to pay the standing charges from when we signed the tenancy agreement now so that’ll only be about 10% of what they initially tried to charge us.

DS is doing brilliantly with his chemistry book, I am very proud! I spent £2 on the answer book :o

Cagliostro · 11/03/2019 13:46

I am very excited to have some evening picnics once the weather is warmer. We are so close to the park now. Cagletini wont stay still for anyone though, not even food. She will just grab it and run. Hmm

ememem84 · 11/03/2019 14:19

Scan went well. All good with dd. 😉

WreckTangled · 11/03/2019 14:24

Ah em amazing news!

Cagliostro · 11/03/2019 14:26

Eeeeee! Yay so excited for you! Aaah a little sister for C ❤️😍

Girliefriendlikescake · 11/03/2019 16:02

That's amazing em i thought you'd have a girl 👧 this time! One of each is so lovely for you. I'm not surprised dh doesn't see his behaviour as abusive, they don't do they.

I've had a really nice day, went to a spa with my friend and had a lovely massage which was very relaxing. We had lunch and use of the hot tub etc, total cost for me £7! I also paid for parking £5.

Got Pilates tonight.

WreckTangled · 11/03/2019 16:07

Girlie that sounds like a great day!

Spends today:

£20 fuel
£6 Asda on cat food, card for DD's friend and chocolate bar
£7.50 Sainsbury's on present for DD's friend. Got her a slushy cup thing.

Now I need to pay £15 to the school for ds' school trip, school disco and a ticket to see dd in a concert. Ffs. It's never ending. Hoping dh will Pay as I've paid all of the above.

Happierwithouthim · 11/03/2019 16:18

Em delightful news, although of course baby being well is the priority Grin how was dh at scan?

I've just spent €14.28 on new strap for my fitbit as last one is too loose and I can't take anymore links out of it, had to spend €3.85 on dpd parcel wizard as the seller doesn't ship to Ireland Angry It's a normal leather watch strap so I'll be able to adjust this one.

Diesel this morning on fuel card €51+ can't remember exactly and the receipt is in the car.

ememem84 · 11/03/2019 16:30

Dh was fine at the scan.

He apologised. Whether things change I don’t know. But for the moment all good - dd is fine growing well. I’m good. Have spent the afternoon with ds and dparents. Went for a beach walk and a sneaky pint (of blckcurrent and lemonade) and some crisps.

WreckTangled · 11/03/2019 16:37

Em have you got the book 'there's a house inside my mummy' for ds? It's the most adorable book I love it! Might be good for dh too... I think I know most of it off by heart if you don't want to buy it Grin

FaithInfinity · 11/03/2019 16:48

Congratulations Em! I hope your OH starts being kinder.

I spent £29 at Poundstretcher today! All stuff we needed. I’m off work with a neck problem, I’m gradually tidying up the house so I needed a storage tower with drawers. My utility looks loads better for it. I also found quite a few things I was missing behind the washing machine! Grin

Wolfcub · 11/03/2019 17:04

Great news Em, all being well with baby will hopefully take a little bit of the weight off your shoulders

Lovemaltesers · 11/03/2019 17:19

Baby girl 💕 yay!

Catch up properly later

Cagliostro · 11/03/2019 17:29

Hurrah, so we’ve had this rare item that we didn’t know what to do with, but I found someone to sell it to and he’s coming tomorrow (DH will be here too) and throwing in an item I’ve wanted for aaages from his shop too.

You can probably guess it’s game related 😂🤓

That’s a load off. I HATE selling stuff, get super anxious.

Wolfcub · 11/03/2019 17:57

Great stuff Cag

LonelyOversharer · 11/03/2019 18:17

em I'm so pleased everything is ok with you and dd(!), but the dh thing is not okay.

Of course he was good at the scan...they always are when they can come across to other people as the most caring beloved husband in the world. You seem to be in a cycle of nasty (and from what you put on here he's getting abusive), sulky, apology, and "all good" for a bit before it starts again.

Gas lighting is not okay. You cannot explain it to them. They will not see it.

Just take care of you and your babies xxx Flowers

A nsd here. Dd3's guinea pig cage has arrived. Dp is too sore to build it, so I'll do it at the weekend.
He made a very delicious beef stew (chunks from lidl £4ish fed 5 and enough for a lunch) served in a large yorkie. I have taught him these, to get away from having dumplings every other night.

cag choc chip pancakes are great. I do tend to make plain scotch pancakes and let the dc put whatever on them. Dd1 always has choc chips. They are a lot cheaper from Aldi or Lidl if you have one close by.

Cagliostro · 11/03/2019 18:19

Ooh I need to learn how to make dumplings, are they really easy?

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/03/2019 18:23

Me sea. It's hilarious and I shared it with my Scottish proddie friend who makes a mean Malteser bake. I was raised on Catholic buns so made caramel slice yesterday.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/03/2019 18:26

Great news em.

Yes cag suet, four and water. In round On top of bubbling stew for 20 minutes.

Wolfcub · 11/03/2019 18:29

Cag dumplings are ridiculously easy. Two types, those with breadcrumbs and those without. Without are the easiest. Veggie suet and self raising flour. Mix together with fork. Add enough water to make a dough. Add herbs if you like and salt and pepper. Job done. Chuck in top of stew/casserole for about 30mins

Wolfcub · 11/03/2019 18:30

Forgot to say half amount of suet to flour
