Sneaky Oh bless you. I know what it's like to be cold cos not being able to afford adequate heating. Tbh we can't really afford it now, we're just lucky enough to have overdrafts and my parents help. But I always hated being cold, I hate the cold, it used to really contribute to my depression. Hot water bottles are great though. I was just remembering the other day how last year when I had HG I was permanently freezing even though we did have the heating on all the time for me in the daytime (which basically bankrupted us lol), and DH used to make up TWO hot water bottles for me on a night and I would go to bed with two! I was so cold all the time from being poorly and inactive and thin, it was horrible.

Back at the GP tomorrow morning, I am always there, I feel embarrassed...especially as my new GP knows DH in a professional context so I'm worried about it reflecting badly on him. She is lovely though and great. I'm just going to try and set up all my old repeat prescriptions that I don't have set up at this practice. And also taking DD to get something for her eczema put on repeat too and I guess probably get referred to paed as well as the ranitidine didn't help her at all Sad. May then have CBT tomorrow afternoon but my referral is all messed up so not sure if it's on or not...if not then I will try and take DD to a new playgroup that a mum acquaintance of mine goes to and says is good.

Spends today, just £5 to said mum acquaintance towards sympathy flowers for another mum acquaintance as her DF has recently died. Stayed in all day in the end cos of the weather so no other spends!

WreckTangled · 22/01/2019 19:54

Hope you're ok sneaky

We had a snow flurry earlier on but it's too wet to settle I envisage treacherous ice in the morning.

SnugglySnerd · 22/01/2019 20:25

Aw thanks Tayto that's really kind.

No don't freeze Sneaky it's bloody cold today!

Wolfcub · 22/01/2019 20:33

Sneaky if you are cold or your house is cold it’s important to keep your head and feet covered so woolly hat and socks and slippers if you have them. You lose a lot of heat through your head

It was snowing as I left London but it’s bit snowing here. I am relieved.

Totally wiped out this evening.

Spends 11 parking, £6 dinner, £8 breakfast and lunch. Should all be reclaimable from work I think

SneakyGremlins · 22/01/2019 20:36

I'm warm! Grin

Catching up.

snuggly hope your day got better

sneaky glad you’re warm

girlie they’ve called off the search. I heard what I now know to be the search helicopters at 2am this morning flying out of the airport. So sad.

tayto yes! This means we can plan things. A bit.

Work today. £25.40 eBay on sleeping bags 0-6m and 18-36 months for ds and bump. Via PayPal but took money from joint ac.

Told work today. So many congrats.

Also ordered dh some valentines cupcakes to be sent to his work. Love heart theamed ones. Haha.

Happierwithouthim · 22/01/2019 23:14

€1.70 on bananas

northender · 22/01/2019 23:33

Busy day today. Work, then circuits class with dd, then cinema (lovely old fashioned local one) in the snow £8.50 including a delish ice cream. Saw the Laurel & Hardy film, was good.

WreckTangled · 23/01/2019 06:12

Eugh ds woke at 5:35. Not sure why he doesn't usually. He tried to go back to sleep but is now in with us 😴 should be a nsd today. It's freezing!

Wolfcub · 23/01/2019 06:42

Morning all. It’s absolutely Baltic here.

Need to buy milk for home and milk for work other than that no planned spends

SnugglySnerd · 23/01/2019 06:59

Pleased you are warm Sneaky.
Really icy here again. Have slept Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/01/2019 07:13

Hurrah for sleep

Nsd planned to day. Got to return something to sea salt £38.

ChristmasSeacow · 23/01/2019 08:41

Icy at home too, though not central London. It snowed last night. DD was glued to the window - ‘snow is falling down! Go outside! Get boots on!’. Er, it’s bedtime. No.

SneakyGremlins · 23/01/2019 08:43

Got a thread in chat if anyone wants to know how my night went. The "Insane with anger" one...

Wolfcub · 23/01/2019 08:51

Gah I must have swiped my salad through the self service till twice yesterday so I will have to pay for a salad I haven’t bought Angry

Happierwithouthim · 23/01/2019 08:59

wreck my ds has taken to coming into me at night again. On the one hand it's good because he's going to the loo then and not wetting the bed so I don't have kylie sheet to wash but it definitely disturbs my nights sleep Angry can't blame him for being tired though I stayed up too late watching tv and texting Smile

sea gotta admire your dd's enthusiasm for snow Smile I'm delighted temperatures are staying up here so we're avoiding that weather for now.

I expect today to be a nsd

Thatsnotmybaby · 23/01/2019 09:20

Oh how annoying @wolfcub.

Updated spends from yesterday:
£1 Kindle book, I've developed a good frugal habit of checking the monthly deals whenever I need a new book and I generally find something I want to read, I read a lot so it really saves me money.

Happierwithouthim · 23/01/2019 09:41

thatsnotmybaby sign up to bookbub then you'll get a weekly email of free/low priced kindle books

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 23/01/2019 10:28

I also love my hot water bottle my mum got me a really long one for Christmas so when I have period pains I can wrap all round my tummy and can cuddle it all down my body in bed it's amazing 😍

thats I also have a wishlist on Amazon for e-books and often get notifications if they drop in price. I'm not buying any currently as I've got so many I haven't yet read 😂

Spends yesterday £14.50 in co op and £4 on girls brigade. I've got my mince out of the freezer ready to make turkey jalfrezi for dinner tonight.

I'm not sure if anyone else is on o2 but they do family discount. I linked mine and DH accounts together so we got 20% off mine and then when we get dd1 a phone later this year we will get 30% off her contract and eventually when dd2 gets one we will get 40% off hers. Me and dh are on SIM only and that's what we plan on doing for dd too. You can also put a limit on so they can't go over at all.

SneakyGremlins · 23/01/2019 14:03

So apparently housing benefit only covers £390/£425 rent every month so due to some fees etc I owe £295 in arrears. So I need to pay £35 a month now to estate agent and more to clear the debt.

My aftercare worker told me none of this and I'm sick of us care leavers being fucked over

Have angrily emailed worker and seeing her Friday.

Not surprised you are fed up sneaky Sad

I lived to see another day at work. Passed our audit, the only real thing coming out of it does not fall under my responsibility #slightlysmug

£2.05 in Tesco

Lovemaltesers · 23/01/2019 15:36

I really wish everyone would come back.

Do we need to be more frugal?

Lovemaltesers · 23/01/2019 15:45

Just got a £15 off voucher which I can use against my food delivery tomorrow Smile

WreckTangled · 23/01/2019 15:47

Sneaky that's ridiculous that no one told you.

Home now nsd. Soup and toasties for dinner

ememem84 · 23/01/2019 15:57

Afternoon.

£5.50 boots on metanium (on a threefa if anyone needs some). Ds has the nappy rash (again) teething. Sigh.

Dh has taken him to the dr this afternoon. Impetigo where his snot has run under his nose onto his scabby wound from the bike. Ffs. So he’s not in nursery this afternoon or tomorrow. Luckily dparents are free to have him.

Have bid on a reusable nappy on eBay. Have been researching this and according to a friend who lives in Aussie who swears by them you could save £2500 over the “nappy years” and obviously less waste. Very tempted to do this wth dc2. Initial outlay is high. But the savings outweigh it. I think.

Will see.
