Quite or Fluffy do you use bulb. If you do and you get a £100 code please pm me as I need to switch supplier at the end of Jan

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/12/2018 18:30

No worries laksa. Tis fine to say what you like even twice. Emotions and sieving can be intrinsically linked.
Oh em nerve racking times.
I need to do my food order. Have cancelled my day off tomorrow so will squeeze it in Friday.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/12/2018 18:34

Sorry Wolf I use Ovo. The forums on hot UK deals or MSE might have a code.

Aldi Xmas veg is 28p, 19p. Hot UK deals lied to me.

Wolfcub · 19/12/2018 18:40

Em fingers crossed dh gets a pay rise or a better job

Laska post what you want as much as you want. We are here for you and love hearing from you

I feel o should add that £10 of my ocado shop is presents. It’s making me feel guilty

Lovely colleagues/friends gave me surprise Christmas gifts today because in their words they felt Christmas was likely to be a bit shit this year and wanted to cheer me up. Love ‘em

AutumnLeaves12 · 19/12/2018 18:50

Laska I know what you mean a bit. With grief stuff, I find the whole world can go a bit into the background, while the loss is just all-consuming and in the foreground.

My clarinet playing is a bit about that. The clarinet is like a transition object for me, in the way that a teddy bear is for a child. I like that I can go back to it to revisit a lost loved one whenever I want. Also it makes a nice noise.

I read somewhere that revisiting memories of a lost loved one was hugely helpful in grief and I do find that.

Laska2Meryls · 19/12/2018 18:55

Thanks life wolf an autumn Sorry all , I'm probably bit too raw to be posting..

AutumnLeaves12 · 19/12/2018 18:59

I would be glad if you posted, if it helps. Flowers

As I said, I worry about people slogging their way through Christmas on their own. I'd rather we all just kept talking, even if it's about difficult stuff.

I'd like to light a big virtual log fire that we can all sit around until about the 28th, to warm our feet and chat the hours away. Grin

Wrongwayup · 19/12/2018 19:08

Laska there is a thread in chat on grief you may want to look at about how it gives you such unexpected emotions - I am on it

Wrongwayup · 19/12/2018 19:09

Flugal goals for 2019
pay off 7000 credit card
holiday one UK and one abroad
new horse - one I can actually ride

well a girl's got to have ambition!

Laska2Meryls · 19/12/2018 19:12

Thanks all....I dont want to up-end this thread.. but will keep reading and posting (hopefully sensibly) when I can.. I'm just a bit weird right now i think.. (always was a bit thoughWink )

Luckily I am with family over Christmas.. I hope you are also Autumn .
Wrongwayup thanks I did see that (and think I may have posted on it ,bu thave lost it ill, have a look again)

Laska2Meryls · 19/12/2018 19:24

wongwayup I am sorry for your loss also Flowers

AutumnLeaves12 · 19/12/2018 19:30

Thanks, yes I am. Currently sitting at the laptop while ds and dh try to defeat something on the switch, but dh has the next two whole weeks off, which is lovely. Grin

Not sure I should ask, but does anybody think the government's idea of a strategy for civilians preparing for brexit is a bit bonkers?

Unescorted · 19/12/2018 19:30

laska you know the rules here you can post what you like about any subject and everyone shuffles round to give you a hug. I have had the most amazing support here. It comes full circle for us all.

Wolf your colleagues sound lovely.

Girlie I keep forgetting to say well done to your DD.

Sneaky good effort on the nsd. I can hear a hole being burnt in your pocket from here.

I have been doing my cash up for year end...£496. that is my total clothing expenditure this year. £130 of it today. I am now the proud owner of 2 pairs of jeans, 3 pairs of shoes and 5 vest tops to go under my oversized jumpers that I bought earlier in the year. Loads of the stores are already doing second discounts on clothes. Town was weirdly quiet today. It is worrying.

Lovemaltesers · 19/12/2018 19:41

Big hug to laska

Your colleagues/friends sound lovely wolf

DPs work is shut unexpectedly tomorrow, but he says he is still going in. Why?! I think he is being a martyr and should do my food shopping tomorrow instead of me

Unescorted · 19/12/2018 19:47

autumn I am worried. We have only just been asked to consider options and impacts. So little planning has taken place. I am thankful that I live rurally ( short term mitigation) and have access to other nationalities (long term plan).

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/12/2018 19:50

Where are the civilian plans for Brexit? I haven't seen it.
Ah nice colleges wolf.
Don't mind weird laksa.

Teachers how can DS yr 4 be meeting expectations but off track to meet his year end target. What's the info I'm missing?

Sneaky is most likely in switch heaven thinking how he can frugaleer for new games. .

Hey Adora. Bloody expensive isn't it.

Hi everyone else.

Frugal win I got an in year award today £250 minus pay roll deductions.
Nsd as work is bleurgh

Life they are publishing in the new year. Gov.uk will have them.

ememem84 · 19/12/2018 20:08

Beautiful hamper has arrived from bil in Aussie. So kind.

Ds is moving up to toddlers at nursery in January 😭 where is my baby?!

He got so excited seeing me which was awesome. It really is the best.

Midwife appointment tomorrow. Hoping I get my scan date. Although have said to dh that I just don’t feel pregnant any more. I haven’t felt sick (really jinxing it now) for days. Still feel bloated though. Will mention this to midwife. When I was pregnant with ds I stopped feeling sick etc at about 14 weeks. No way am I that far along right?!
I do hope nothing has happened. But obviously until I get a bloody scan date I’m not going to know am I?

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 19/12/2018 20:26

I'm sure everything will be fine em.

I've decided next year I'm going to get myself a £5 treat every week or so so that if I get some bonus money I won't feel tempted to blow it as I haven't had anything nice for years. Does that make sense?

Unescorted · 19/12/2018 20:33

em mine were chalk and cheese. DD was really still except when I used the bump as a coaster. Then she would kick like a mule and my tea would go everywhere. She also had a habit of waiting until dh came to bed and was drifting off. She would then poke him in the back. It was weird..looked like she was ET crossed with Alien. DS did summersaults for the full 9 months. He still fidgets.

ememem84 · 19/12/2018 21:00

unescorted ds was a right wigglepuppy. Still is. He will not stay still for long. Always on the go. Always busy. Always something to explore/investigate. It’s exhausting sometimes watching him.

I’m sure things will be fine. I’m just what-if-ing again. I’m a bit “blocked” too so we’re back on the fibre drink. Yippee!!

There is a bit of a bump now though. I’m sure that wasn’t there yesterday....

northender · 19/12/2018 21:03

Wolf I use bulb. As far as I know there is a constant referral system, I've never done it so I'll check.

Unescorted · 19/12/2018 21:06

It usually is em. Bake away and enjoy.

northender · 19/12/2018 21:09

Just checked, and yes I can refer you wolf PM me your email address if you want to do it and I'll send you a link. I'm really happy with them so far.
Laska things are bound to be raw for a while yet, be kind to yourself.
Hugs to you Cag. Glad you're feeling a bit better & hope you get to see the psych soon.
Just did a killer "metabolic transformation" class with dh, blimey it was tough!
Got a good amount of study done this morning, more to do....
