Sea and Curls maybe we could have a frugal slim up to Christmas. I’ve lost a stone since dh fucked off but I could still stand to lose another 4 though I’d settle for another 1

Fluffy you are right. Buying food while out and about is the work of the devil and it mounts up so quickly.

sunny I'd go mini magnums. They are the best and start small, pardon the pun.

DH and I just shared a bottle of wine watching the football. I hope he appreciates me sacrificing my Love Island viewing. I know, I know....Blush

Cagliostro · 11/07/2018 22:01

I need to get back to it too, I lost 4 stone last year including throughout the pregnancy, but have totally stalled lately partly due to stress (for me stress = carb craving), and partly due to the baby feeding less since starting food I think.

CurlsandCurves · 11/07/2018 22:10

I’ve lost 1.5 stone, 4.5 to go. Got to goal when I got married, kept it off till I got pregnant with DS1. When having DS2 I lost 2 stone due to not being able to keep much down. Piled it all back on and then some.

But having been a ww member for almost 2 decades and ready to give up, along came their new Flex plan. Which suits me so well, I love it.

I feel a frugal weight loss thread coming on, don’t you, ladies?

LonelyOversharer · 11/07/2018 22:10

Just watching the news. Sophie is choking back tears ffs. As far as I go, if I don't have to listen to 3 lions or, even worse, fat Les every hour on the radio at work, it's a win for me!

Spent £7 or so today in the co-op. Am into my overdraft and have to make 2 credit card payments this week. The joy.

CurlsandCurves · 11/07/2018 22:14

@em I feel your pain, been there. Sleep training is so hard. I remember meditating and praying my way through it, hoping keeping myself calm and chilled would rub off on him.

Sleepy vibes coming your way.

Cagliostro · 11/07/2018 22:49

I haven’t even attempted to get the baby into bed early yet. She’s doing a decent stretch at night for the last week or so (longest since the 4 month growth spurt which fucked eeeeverything up) so I’m not rocking the boat, once we are settled into the new house I’d like to get her to bed earlier though.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 11/07/2018 22:58

Am genuinely gutted about the football, we should have won!! The show was okay, long though nearly 3 hours, watching Paloma Faith on Friday so will def need an early night tomos!!

Bought some pringles £2.

ChristmasSeacow · 11/07/2018 23:21

I wish England had won, not bothered about football myself but many people would have so enjoyed the final, including DH. I do want to punch something when I hear the phrase ‘years of hurt’ though. Which I expect will be often over the next 24 hours. Ffs.

Yes to a frugal slimming thread! I occasionally dip into the slimming section on here. It’s quite supportive but I prefer the chat among friends here, I can’t get too excited about the detailed food diaries of strangers.

I was in a rush yesterday but wanted to ask, Lonely - are you going to be worse off for working month on month simply because of tax credits, not because of your horrible ex not paying up? I thought the govt wanted to make work pay and would have sorted that out by now 🙄. What will you do - will you keep working? You really seem to be enjoying it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/07/2018 06:31

Morning.
Nsd planned today.

Caloric deficit is where it's at. Join Mammy and I on team rh. £15 to join £4.99 a month. Or search Richie Howie on Facebook and look at free content

SunnyLikeThursday · 12/07/2018 06:46

Thanks so much for all of the encouragement on the sensory adventures. It actually really helps to talk about it on here and feel understood.

I feel really encouraged now to try more little changes. I'm working up the courage to try a tin of salmon today. I will report back on progress. My aim is one new thing per day, on the sensory front, along with my constant mission to tame the reluctant clarinet.

Since both are relatively cheap missions, my third new aim is to try to have some NSDs.

Fingers crossed,

Em I hear you on the sleep frustrations. I lived the dream in this area myself for four years. Good luck there.

ememem84 · 12/07/2018 07:08

Ds finally got to sleep at 945. I left him at 930 and went to sit in the other room. At 945 things went quiet and he’d crashed out. He slept through and is still sleeping now.

He’s been such a good sleeper. Or a good go to bed-er. We haven’t had a bedtime “fight” like that for a long time. But he had loads of sleep at nursery, it’s hot etc. So maybe he just wasn’t feeling it.

I’m so glad I won’t have to hear “it’s coming home” again for a while....I’m not sad that England lost as I don’t really like football but the team did play well throughout.

Saw something on fb earlier. Loads of “first England team to get this far in a tournament for x years etc” someone posted that it’s actually been 3 years. The women’s team got further... #gothegirls

Dr appointment this morning. Then work.

LonelyOversharer · 12/07/2018 07:15

seacow oh I'm keeping working! No, with the tax credits, we'll lose the working tax credits, the ctc will stay about the same, so I would have been up 3 weeks wages. With my ex stopping money, I'll be down overall. Nothing I can do about it.

The last time he stopped paying he "forgot" for 6 months this time I'm not can't saying a word. Except I'll have to tell the girls. I sold them a shitty summer holiday on the excitement of possibly having enough to go away next year.

Wolfcub · 12/07/2018 07:47

Lonely sorry ex-h continues to be an unsupportive dick. Will you break even eventually?
It’s proving a very spendy month here but I am wearing my new holiday pac a Mac (stylish moi!?!) today as rain is threatened this afternoon but it’s still bloody hot. I am dealing with the joy of crappy railways today across the north and it promises to be a bit of a shit journey!
Ds has end of term itus in a bad way.
I feel sorry for the England team but the Croatians played better on the day. I just hope no one starts pulling them apart in the media.
Ocado shop coming later. I wasn’t going to do one but I just can’t be bothered playing feeezer roulette for a week when most of what’s in there is stew/casserole. It’s too damn hot for that.
£8 in Tesco last night £4 parking this morning. Will needs taxis later but can reclaim.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/07/2018 07:49

Ah lonely that's shit. The girls will understand and your might still get something for next year.

I'm traveling every week until September wolf, dreading it. London and Sheffield.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 12/07/2018 08:20

christmas definitely join myself and lifelong on team RH. Although I'm not losing much at the moment, that's because of life circumstances rather than what they teach. This week was first time I binged in over a year where I've eaten stuff just out of comfort without tasting it. I love that using iifym means I can eat whatever the hell I want just by mix and matching food, it's like getting the pieces of a jigsaw together. My plan today is
Starpoached egg with 2 bacon medallions on half a sesame bagel
Star overnight oats with passionfruit, raspberries and blueberries, flaxseed and 10g of twirl crumbled on top with almond milk
Star chicken, hummus, cheese, spinach, tomato and cucumber sandwich for lunch with a pear
Starpopcorn
Star turkey taco mince with steamfresh veg and sweet potato fries

SunnyLikeThursday · 12/07/2018 08:26

mammy Your starred list looks amazing. You could open a restaurant with that.

QuiteCleanBandit · 12/07/2018 09:11

I hear you Sea
"Years of hurt" "Its coming home"and now this morning in the gym from an adult woman "but it nearly came home -Quite" said with big sad eyes.
Im afraid that I couldnt stop myself bursting out laughing Im a cow
Utterly ridiculous .
Lonely why cant you give him a nudge?
If hes going to get nasty then report him.
I would prefer a Frugal slimming thread-mainly so I can avoid it Grin
I work in an office full of SW devotees kill me

SunnyLikeThursday · 12/07/2018 09:18

Bandit that sounds pretty weird having all your office so keen on SW. I wonder why eating is so complicated for so many people.

Wrongwayup · 12/07/2018 09:22

Think I managed to miss an entire thread - it moves so quickly - spendy yesterday tesco/pet food/petrol - all necessary though. sorry about your dog mammy - with your other life changing events must be very hard. x

QuiteCleanBandit · 12/07/2018 09:38

Ahem Sunny
Im the only one with a "normal"BMI
Its constant SW rants about bad,bad foods
Its a fucking avocado ! And talking about it all the time .
I appreciate health and fitness and applaud those who need to lose weight and do something about it but SW is something else.
None of the ever go lower than a 14/16 and it doesnt look healthy to me .
They go to be weighed and then drink Prosecco all weekend before starving again all week.
No exercise, no good fats and fucking synsHmm

SunnyLikeThursday · 12/07/2018 10:05

Yikes Bandit. That does sound tricky. Must be hard work to listen to it all the time and keep a balanced view yourself. Well done there.

I had my tin of salmon and am bashing away at something called the A minor harmonic scale. I really shouldn't have married into a musical family. I'm much better at building flat pack furniture.

WreckTangled · 12/07/2018 10:20

I think slimming world is crazy. I mean, it's great that people manage to lose weight with it and good for them, but making avocado and 'syn' and allowing as much pasta as you like? Crazy. I think some of it is great as it tells people to avoid ready made jars of sauce etc but it also encourages muller lights Confused

WreckTangled · 12/07/2018 10:21

Goodwood festival of speed is on. Traffic is a nightmare took me double the time to get to work.

Cagliostro · 12/07/2018 10:25

Agree re SW. I do much better when eating lots of healthy fat. Like avocado! And not eating unlimited pasta.
