Gosh thats terrible Sunny
Dont they have targets etc for meeting certain diagnosis criteria.
Guess not if its 2 years ie 104 weeks Confused

Unescorted · 02/07/2018 18:12

Some things are worth spending money on.... Frugality gives you options to do that.

It can be really frustrating getting access to a diagnosis - I have found now I am in the system treatment is straight forward. Hope it is the same for you.

Wolfcub · 02/07/2018 18:28

Good news Sunny. Hopefully it makes things a bit easier.
Unescorted helloooo. Ds has always been terrible for clothes, tall and thin but now he’s thickening a bit around the waist it’s now a double problem.
Curls do you buy your ds’s shorts in sports shops? I picked ds’s up in outdoor shops so probably spent the same as you but on only two pairs. Will try the sports shop next time.

I’m up at 4. Hoping to get down into London before it gets about 21degrees. Will be coming back in the full heat of the day though.

I’ve watered the garden. It is killing my back doing it but everything was looking so sad z

Unescorted · 02/07/2018 18:39

In weather like this I water under the cover of darkness with the hose pipe.😎

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/07/2018 19:09

Curves Kids today! It was Chelsea girl when I was young. How many meals can you squeeze out of the freezer then? Eat well for less is on iplayer at the moment and that’s always good for tips. Love that show.

£8 Tesco but £2 will come back for the free yoghurts off clicksnap, £4 aldi, £1.05 petrol station bread 🤔

Did the shop at Waitrose, 3 weeks main meals for £80, my lunches, fruit and veg, & a free daily mail, nectar give you 80 points per daily mail purchased. Dhs money paid for it. I bought ox cheek & black turtle beans. No idea what to do with either.

All receipts scanned 😂 into Shoppix.

SnugglySnerd · 02/07/2018 19:12

Well done Sunny!

I've only read the last 2 pages so need to catch up. I've fallen behind over the weekend.

NSD today.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/07/2018 19:19

Shoppix reject more than one receipt per supermarket.

Cagliostro · 02/07/2018 19:22

Ooh is that new EWFL? I ended up watching some of that in hospital when waiting for baby to show up. DH had never seen it before, he was like WTF why are they stating the bloody obvious 😂

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 02/07/2018 19:28

No it’s one we’ve all tutted about before. It is obvious but a lot of them seem to shop how their mum shopped and have never really thought about it.

Like the Yorkshire tea couple. My all time favourite taste fail. They couldn’t have told Yorkshire tea from another if it’d been served with a flat cap by a whippet.

QuiteCleanBandit · 02/07/2018 19:37

I love EWFL Blush
Its like having well behaved children #smug and watching Supernanny ShockShockShock
People really are like that.
My colleagues buy food from Costa/M&S -salads/chopped fruit etc and leave in the work fridge where it is forgotten and then rots.
Cue moaning about massive overdraftsHmm

ememem84 · 02/07/2018 20:48

I’m watching ewfl too and feeling. #smug

Dh is out for dinner. Ds and I had dinner with dparents (again) nice though. Dm always cooks too much and had more than enough sausages and potatoes for me! Yay. Ds had a new potato (a massive one) mushed up with some sausage. And some watermelon for after.

Been to the post office and have also sorted a load of washing. Done a shopping list.

I think my meds have had another side effect. I’ve had to start drinking the ahem fibre drinks again.....sigh. Also drinking waaaaaay more water.

£13 M&S on fruit - bananas, cherries, apples, nectarines and grapes. Mostly on a 2 for £4.

SnugglySnerd · 02/07/2018 21:06

New EWFL starts next week I think.

Wolfcub · 02/07/2018 21:12

I love EWFL even though I canny stand greg

CremeEggThief · 02/07/2018 21:19

EWFL annoys me too much to watch!😐

Further spends: £4.80 on bus fares back from my Pilates class. So total spend for the day is £17.37.

QuiteCleanBandit · 02/07/2018 21:24

Uuurgh Greg !
Not as bad as Masterchef though .
Him and JT or rather "Greg and I"
HmmGrin

Wolfcub · 02/07/2018 21:28

No spend day. A relief as it’s going to be a tight month. Tomorrow will be spendy with parking etc but some will be recoverable from work.

CurlsandCurves · 02/07/2018 21:37

EWFL just makes no sense to me. Unless you’re prepared to go to 5 different supermarkets to get the bargains they suggest.

@Fluffy he’s no too too bad clothes wise to be fair. He’s not growing as fast at the moment and I always do 2-3 tshirts or a hoodie as part of Christmas and birthday presents. His school is non uniform too, so I feel quite lucky he’s happy with half a dozen pairs of trackie bottoms and a load of tshirts.

Meal planned for this week with the boys. Using some of the chicken moutain, burgers and beef medallions.

@Sunny glad to hear the assessment went well, but massive booooo at the cost of it all!
@Wolfcub, yes I am a Sports Direct customer, to my shame. But as I mentioned above, my kids school is non uniform so needs must. Yes he likes to be head to toe in Nike, etc but it doesn’t work out too expensive when he is wearing this stuff day in day out. Ive taught him to check out the sale section online before anywhere else and he’s always very proud when he finds something he likes!

Wolfcub · 02/07/2018 21:42

I will be definitely giving that a try Curly. If he can find some he likes that will be half the battle

CurlsandCurves · 02/07/2018 21:45

@Wolf basic Nike tshirts are usually 2 for £25 and the shorts I just got him are £16.99 each. Their sales are usually very good too.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 02/07/2018 22:11

Spent £25 in aldi, am getting through lots of fresh stuff atm.

£16 cat biscuits.

Going to get a quote for laminating my hallway tomos.

Am so full of cold 😷

Cagliostro · 02/07/2018 23:18

Why is the stuff in the Ikea store not the same as on the website 😩 🧐 🤦‍♀️

We have chosen the beds and some other bits for definite though. We are just suffering from kallax related angst.

Black or white do you think?

OP posts:
Wolfcub · 03/07/2018 06:11

Cag white it will go with more choices of decoration

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/07/2018 06:47

White kallax, shows less muck

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/07/2018 06:54

Curls It’s for fairness, if they used one supermarket too much they’ll be accused of bias so they spread it out and use local butchers too.

I like Greg. He’s enthusiastic if nothing else.

Cag White does go with more.

QuiteCleanBandit · 03/07/2018 07:14

Ive got white Cag
I dont think they mean you need to go to 5 different shops Curls its just to demonstrate what you can swap to and as Fluffy says the supermarkets wouldnt be happy if they just used one.
I do Aldi,Ocado and local farm shop and greengrocer or market but not all of them every week.
Farm shop for meat ,Aldi and Ocado are once a month and then fruit/veg as needed.
Thats why I dont think Shoppix will work for me .Im not near a supermarket very often Grin
Wearing new dress today Smile
