Yes please cag.
I've still got one asleep here too. They are shattered.

Fingers crossed Cag can’t wait to find out what it’s like.
Everyone have a lovely day, lousy nights sleep here due to heat and noisy owls

I have everything crossed for you cag

Typically I have woken up with a headache on a day off/child free day. Must power through and get through my to do list.

ChristmasSeacow · 11/06/2018 09:48

Ooh exciting Cag! Can’t wait to hear about it.

No time for mumsnet yesterday - with DH’s bad back I was doing everything for everyone all day yesterday. I am completely shattered today and very achy. I’m going to try to take it easy because I don’t want a relapse myself. Cleaner is coming shortly and I have mostly managed to tidy up for her (this is a bit of a stress every week because I have to put all DS’s spread-around stuff away and he’s always very anxious about it when he comes home) .

£50 for Cleaner and need a bit of fruit, that’s it I think.

Loveabaconsandwich · 11/06/2018 10:32

Did DH make it to work today Seacow?

SunnyLikeThursday · 11/06/2018 10:46

Sorry - I didn't think of comparing myself as a bad thing. Just in awe of Em's excellent good sense and mothering skills. I'll try to remember not to compare. Text can be a tricky medium for getting stuff right.

ememem84 · 11/06/2018 11:20

I bloody love a pineapple. I feel all fancy when I buy one. 🍍🍍 though sadly I do think we tend to waste a lot of fresh pineapple so I do buy the bags of pre prepped stuff.

Work today. Had to leave ds with dparents. Which was tough as I didn’t want to. But I did it. Yay! And rewarded myself with a hot chocolate from the shop across from the office. £1.95 must not do this every day I leave ds with someone.

Planned spends today £15 ish M&S for fruit. Will update that after I go at lunchtime

Probably £7 ish at post office to post dnephews present out to nz. He will be one at the end of the month. How. Did. That. Happen.

ChristmasSeacow · 11/06/2018 11:30

He did Love. He can stand and walk okay, and can just about sit down and get up (with some difficulty). He took some of my leftover painkillers and off he went. I don’t think it was his best idea but he won’t be told...

Ridiculous 20-year no-sickness-record intact then Hmm

ChristmasSeacow · 11/06/2018 11:51

This is my apple after DD stole it and attacked it with her seven teeny teeth. She’s covered the surface in small holes and drool, and has spat the little bits out on the carpet. But she is VERY busy and VERY happy Grin

£15.40 in M&S on fruit.

And...£22 in post office. I severely underestimated the cost of postage to nz.

CremeEggThief · 11/06/2018 12:44

Postage is ridiculous, Em. Even to the Republic of Ireland from the UK.

ChristmasSeacow · 11/06/2018 13:46

Yes, horrendously expensive. For overseas birthdays I always buy presents from a ‘local’ website and get them delivered direct. But sometimes you just want to send a gift/brand that isn’t available there 💷💷💷🔥🔥🔥

Cagliostro · 11/06/2018 13:47

We accepted the house :)

I’ll add more detail later - feeling pretty overwhelmed ATM as it needs a bit more work than I was expecting (I guess though they have to do viewings straight away to get it filled quickly, so it’s not even been cleaned yet). There are a few things that aren’t so great but overall I think it’s pretty good and not worth the risk of turning it down.

And a totally unexpected bonus, the previous tenant is moving somewhere with a fully fitted kitchen so she can’t take her fridge with her... OR HER AMAZING OVEN so we get it free woohoo 😍😍😍

Wolf We live near to the docks and it's seagull breeding season now and they are all over our roofs, the noise is soo bad what with having to keep the window open overnight. They start at around 4am each day. On the plus side I can see three chicks on a roof from my living room window and I've been watching them with binoculars when they come into sight and they are so ugly but so cute at the same time!! I have to sleep with earplugs in every night at the moment or my already-terrible sleep is even more disturbed.

Em I love pineapple too, I can't cut it though cos of my crappy Aspie motor skills so rely on DH doing it but he loves it too so is usually quite enthusiastic when I buy one haha. We usually eat half and freeze the other half and eventually make smoothies with those frozen ones.

Seacow The apple pic is cute! I can't keep up with the thread but OMG as if your DH now has a bad back! You have been through soo much recently it's awful, I hope things get calmer again soon! Flowers

Today I ordered a taxi for myself for the first time in however long (usually cannot cos of anxiety), I used the taxi company app so I didn't have to call anyone. So that's gold start number 1. Saw the midwife - my fundal height measurement was lower than expected on my growth charts so she has referred me for a growth scan, but I am likely to have given birth before I have it, did not panic much, gold star number 2. Walked about in town a bit to buy some stuff, post something, get threaded and have lunch, all on my own and walked home. Lots of gold stars. I can't remember the last time I managed to walk around town on my own (again cos of my anxiety). It was probably in like September or something. D

Downside to the above is spends but oh well baby will be here soon...:
Father's day card and birthday card for DH's granddad - £1.30ish?
Notebooks for DH - £4, stickers £1.50
Pasty for lunch from Greggs - £1.35
Threading - £25 (I miss my cheap threading places in our old city, it's so much more expensive here)
Fruit cooler from Costa - £3.25
Oh and taxi to see the midwife - £5.

We have a 'Newborn Know-How' class this evening at the hospital if DH is not too tired after his first day on placement at the hospital (not the same hospital Grin).

Cagliostro · 11/06/2018 13:54

Garden - shed is pretty good inside (she is going to see if they will replace the window themselves but if not we will do it) so keeping that for sports club, and they’ve left a lawnmower. Also the decking is easily big enough for table and chairs.

Cag that's awesome, cooker looks fab hope fridge is equally good!
they're leaving lawnmower that they didn't use!!

Cagliostro · 11/06/2018 14:02

😂 yes, our planned wild area has got something of a headstart 🤔😂

Loveabaconsandwich · 11/06/2018 14:11

Yay cag to accepting the house!

In my infinite wisdom, I have decided to start writing a job application. With the deadline of tomorrow 🤦‍♀️ Currently writing all the easy, although time consuming bits, before the school run. Then hoping DP will help me with examples tonight, fortunately we used to work together so he is good at reminding me of my various skills.

It will be embarrassing if I don't get an interview for it, as I used to work with the manager a few years back. Different employers but in the same office.

ememem84 · 11/06/2018 14:11

Oh cag that’s amazing!!! So so happy for you!!!

meadow why didn’t I think to freeze leftover pineapple....duh. Good luck with newborn school tonight. I remember going with dh and he got wierded out by a leaflet on breastfeeding. So many pictures of boobies! Haha! He also didn’t like the classes we did. And to be honest the last one we just dicked about in as I didn’t find it that useful (all about support and our relationship and our hopes and dreams for the baby....). Take snacks though. Ours provided warm squash. And no snacks. And went on from 530 to 9. A room full of preggos and no snacks. Ffs.

WreckTangled · 11/06/2018 14:16

Sea that's so funny!

Cag that oven!! 😍

Meadow well done! 🌟

Cagliostro · 11/06/2018 14:24

Sea DD1 once gave me all her tiny spat out bits of apple peel, bit by bit. On the bus. That was fun. 🙄😂

Cagliostro · 11/06/2018 14:39

So. Lots to do 😩 major thing I’m a bit sad about is that the kitchen isn’t much bigger really. But there’s more counter space. Nowhere for a dishwasher BUT after a year of tenancy we are allowed to request permission for alterations, so we could get a cupboard knocked out then. We will also have to find room elsewhere for the dryer.

There will be a lot of cleaning to do also as apparently they don’t deep clean it 😱 😬 Definitely need to paint too, as the decoration was, erm... also they are going to cut the grass down, and they are replacing all the kitchen cupboard doors which is great.

Can’t get over the size of the hallway in particular, it felt massive when we walked in. Bedrooms felt small, but there’s a whole extra one 😂

CremeEggThief · 11/06/2018 15:02

Woo hoo, CagGrin.

ememem84 · 11/06/2018 15:30

So. Dm has taken ds to be weighed this afternoon.

He wiggles all over the place apparently laughed the whole time and peed on the scales.

But he’s 22lb5oz. Or 10.14kgs. At 8.5 months.
