Ive moved several times also mostly white vanning it and its hard. Even without kids as most have been. But the best ever was last one wgen we had proper removers (only because we were coming overto IOW and so needed it all at once). It was great they packed and loaded and when here had everything in in less tham hours ! My disabled froend moved about same time with same people and they even packed up boxes for her. Do you think you could run to removers ? It would save so much in stress esp for you and the DCs . You could leave Dh to 'supervise' and take kids out and then bring them back to new house.

Oh no sea I hope dh is ok!

Cag when it comes to it I would look at wall stickers for the DC's rooms then they can easily be changed, you can get so many different ones too.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/06/2018 08:05

I tried to get one of my relatives on the implant as she suffers so much but she didn’t want to risk stopping her periods, which shows how poorly the combined pill is explained to women.

There was a thread on always pads recently and I was shocked how many women shied away from supermarket smart price pads or tampons. Like your fanny will drop out if you use a cheaper pad or something.

I’m still on an electric saving drive. The extractor fans not been on & I’ve reset the garage lights to only come on 21.00 to 22.00. Washings all cold apart from bedding and towels, which go in at 30.

I've had the busiest two days ever, running from pillar to post constantly. Inlaws have gone home now and am stopping. I tried playing the clarinet again and the weird adrenaline buzz has gone away and I am now like a horizontal blob of Xen. I think that instrument may have witchcraft in it.

Christmas sorry to hear about your dh's back. I hope it gets better quickly for him.

Cag OMG about the periodic table bedroom. Good luck with the move and the moving stress. From my own experience I would say it gets much better the instant you get into the new house and can start nesting. FlowersBrewCake

Loveabaconsandwich · 10/06/2018 08:21

Oh no seacowDH! Hope he gets better soon. How is your back now seacow? Are you still getting the nanny/cleaner help in?

cag no matter how essential/wanted/exciting a house move is, it is still a massive upheaval/change/lot of work. Be kind to yourself. I'm sure many a cross words were exchanged between DP and I during the last time we moved. But everyone lived and DD2 was conceived within a month of moving house

£2 refund due from Ocado for mouldy strawberries

My mum has now sent me an email telling me things like where the paperwork for paying off their mortgage is. I've made a subfolder in my emails to move her randomness into as one day it will be helpful. Right now, not so.

QuiteCleanBandit · 10/06/2018 08:23

Cag
Completely get that you are excited and relieved as well.
Fabulous bedroom ideas !
Ok regarding my meltdownBlush
A group of teenagers(15 of them) realised that its not a good idea to surround and try to intimidate "the crazy lady". Every ounch of bottled up frustration and rage came out and they ended up apologising and then ran away
My DC still refer to it in hushed tones Blush
Should be a NSD

Well that was spendy but could have been worse.
Ice cream and tea 12 in the cafe in the park.
Tea at Byron £36 - they are doing a kids eat for 25p deal so could have been worse.
£10 on wristbands from the merchandise, £8.50 hot dogs and chips.
Gig was excellent. Well worth the ticket price.
Today ballet mock, homework and sofa. Didn't get back until mid night.

SunnyLikeThursday · 10/06/2018 08:43

My ds just wrote his first entirely original computer game. I'm chuffed with that. The next thing is to get the tune that goes with it out of his head, and on to paper, then recorded from the piano so we can put it into the game. OMG. We have been learning to how to write timing down accurately in his music lessons and I think I am getting it, sort of.

Wolfcub · 10/06/2018 08:53

Sea hope dh’s back is ok and it’s just a sprain
Cag it’s completely normal to be excited and overwhelmed all at the same time. I’m not sure I would want to move again. There’s still stuff I haven’t unpacked since our last move and that was eleven years ago!
Contact this morning, urgh, I’m going to do some holiday shopping whilst they do it.

Ds has scratched big lumps out of both of his arms. They are a right mess. Put some cream on but will see how they do

LonelyOversharer · 10/06/2018 08:53

Glad you had a good time life

My baby is 6 today Confused crikey. He was very pleased with his few (carefully chosen) presents. I'm still wrangling black sugar paste...batman is coming along, but I don't like all the black! Cake is yummy though (lots of offcuts), vanilla sponge with buttercream and jam inside. Jam is only allowed inside cake, so in it goes (ds and his odd food rules).

Better get on, as it will be eaten in 4 hours.

See fluffy for me not having periods is the holy grail. I had dd1, had a coil, had half a bleed before getting pg with dd2, and then got pg with dd3 without having a period, still bf, and fed her for 14 months. So all in all didn't have a proper period for about 7 years. I don't intend to have another one now. The gp recons one more coil after this one should see me through. And dd1 much prefers the supermarket towels, as they are bigger, and work.

Wolfcub · 10/06/2018 08:57

Happy birthday LonelyDS

mammynowanauntyIRL · 10/06/2018 08:58

Cag what you're feeling is completely normal even for a non ASD person, house moves are stressful. My last move was next door and still caused stress!
I thought it'd be my last but now there'll be at least one more.

WreckTangled · 10/06/2018 09:05

Happy birthday to your ds lonely!

ememem84 · 10/06/2018 09:14

Frugal win.

I noticed earlier in the week my phone bill had been huge for the last 3 months. Emailed phone co. Turns out that when I’d asked them to increase me to the 10gb plan (at £20pcm) theyd actually charged me for the 100gb plan (£40pcm) but only given me the 10gb. So they’ve sorted it. Refunding me the £60 against our next bill.
Hoorah.

Also dh has transferred me £500 to cover my trainer and the christening. Woop.

cag moving is so stressful. Be kind to yourself xx

ememem84 · 10/06/2018 09:17

I’m a fan of the own brand supermarket towels and tampons. (And my reusable stuff). The only ones I don’t really like are the Waitrose ones. They are scented.

But boots own are great. As are Tesco.

SunnyLikeThursday · 10/06/2018 09:22

I also use tesco own brand. I don't like the scented ones either. Delighted to finally find something where the cheaper option is better.

QuiteCleanBandit · 10/06/2018 09:30

Ive had a Mooncup for about 10 years now.
It was about £20 but has paid for itself many times over plus reusable towels/pant liners and also washable make up wipes which are brilliant.
I also bought a slightly larger Diva cup when my periods were super heavy.
I left it (unused) on my bedside table and Dcat stole it.
I came home from work to find her racing up and down the stairs chasing it .Hmm
DH said she had been playing for hours but he thought she was playing with a cat toy.
It had holes in it so I binned it #frugal fail

Wolfcub · 10/06/2018 10:34

I had a moon cup and liked it mostly bar a little chafing but it wasn’t practiCal for work. Cerelle has given me a new lease of life without periods apart from a little light spotting when I lose weight for the past 8 years. Before I’ve been unable to function and so long and heavy that work became problematic. If If I had to come off it I’d be looking at other options

AuditAngel · 10/06/2018 10:45

Morning all.

About £15 in the supermarket on Friday, not sure if I posted that. Yesterday was a great day. Picked up friend at 11 to drive into London, parked at the pre-booked car park. Walked into Hyde Park and walked the kids (my 2DD's and friend's DS) to the children's playground. Friend bought the 2 of us a soft drink while the kids played. We saw the Trooping if the colour fly past and heard the 21 gun salute in Green Park.

Friend also bought an ice cream/lolly for the 5 of us as we walked back. Kids played football for a bit. Lunch at Prezzo, £35, we split the bill in 2 (her son has an adult meal as gluten free, mine ate off kids menu so with his drink, probably comparable).

Then off to the Dorchester for the cabaret, home about 10.

Someone mentioned about sanding being full on for us? This year is very quiet. This year we've had no professional shows since panto, 2 cabarets, we have one week if Evita coming up, then cabaret in Nivember and back to own to.

Last year we had 3 weeks of Joseph and a week if Evita by March, then our dancing school show in April, cabaret in June, 3 months of Evita, cabaret in November and panto.

So this year is quiet!

About to go to pets at home for dig food. Also need frozen fruit and a big shop. No dancing tomorrow so I'll do the big shop then

QuiteCleanBandit · 10/06/2018 10:48

Im on Cerelle for the same reasons Wolf
Can go a year and then will have a period but its very light.
My skin is finally beautifully clear and no mood swings-have heard it really doesnt suit everyone.
I found the Diva slightly softer and no chafing.Yes I had to buy a new one Hmm
No issues using at work as individual loo and sink but even in communal loos I just empied and wiped with loo roll.
Plan is to stay on it and sail through meno .
Wish Id been on it years ago as my periods were awful .

I really didnt like the idea of an implant or coil -preferrered something I could control.
My DF had a coil and was in so much pain but GP refused to remove until she "had given it a chance"Hmm no way !

Wolfcub · 10/06/2018 11:12

I have just found the exact pAir of swim shorts I bought ds in Tesco yesterday in primark at half the price Angry. I don’t usually go to primark as it’s out of my way but I’ve just bought a shed load of holiday clothes for ds at 1.80 a tshirt i’d Be daft not to

ememem84 · 10/06/2018 11:13

I don’t like the idea of an implant for the same reasons. Gp’s here seem to think you need to give it a chance and won’t remove for a couple of years. Friends have had that experience.

I’m on cilest which works for me. I was on cerazette for a brief period but it turned me into a hormonal monster and it was meant to stop periods altogether. Nope. Bled constantly for about 6 months. So ditched that.

WreckTangled · 10/06/2018 11:24

We're at a park and have the place to ourselves. There's a field, flying fox, obstacle course, playground and woodland walk with stream suitable for paddling in. Perfect!

ememem84 · 10/06/2018 11:31

Sounds amazing wreck

Dh and ds have gone to see fil. I’m staying home as an not feeling very social. Funnily enough now I’m on meds dh accepts “I don’t feel up to being social” as an excuse for me not to go anywhere.
