They have all been on for three to four years as I replaced them all when I got the car so they have equal wear. They’d last until Christmas but not beyond really and would definitely have to be replaced before the mot at the start of 2019.

laComtessede · 08/06/2018 13:26

Spends today:
Parking £1
Supermarket £77
Diesel £54

LonelyOversharer · 08/06/2018 14:23

Snap wolf £274 for just 2 tyres!! Black circle (thanks fluff got my 2.1% cashback), fitting tues next week. Don't need to use the car before then, we'll just do shuttle runs in the 4 seater. We went up quality quite a bit, as our road hammers the front tyres so much. Dp gave me £170 towards it.

I have finished the birthday buying, ds and dd2 are both in the next 2 weeks. So £31 in gap (plus used a giftcard), but 2 age 13 tshirts for me as well. £18 in the works, £38 asda (cake stuff plus top up) and £65 in argos on a lego batman thing (main pressie, used £5 voucher too). The lego is in a big box at least. Ffs it is so expensive. Just need some pens and fimo for dd2 (will amazon tonight) and all done.

Took back almost all the epic amount of work I got this week, so a big (like double) paypacket week after next.

ememem84 · 08/06/2018 14:24

I’ve just sent a fax. I think.

I mean I used the fax machine. It made beeps. And I have a confirmation. So I assume it got to where it needed to be.

I’ve never sent a fax before. I’m 33. And have never sent a fax.

My colleague didn’t even know what a fax was....so that was a fun conversation.

WreckTangled · 08/06/2018 14:31

Wearing this tonight

I just went to a research lab and did sciency things in a mysterious walk-in cupboard. It was pretty exciting. Then I had a violin lesson to try to stop my wrist hurting when I play the fiddle.

Both were really exciting, but man damn am I tired now. School gate time.

Wolfcub · 08/06/2018 15:07

Lonely 4 tyres. Black circles were about £20 more expensive and less cashback than the company I used

Wolfcub · 08/06/2018 15:10

Ignore that Lonely I’ve just reread what you wrote. Now I feel quite grateful mine weren’t as expensive as yours

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/06/2018 15:13

You’ll look lovely Em

£1.85 Mitchum anti perspirent. I’ve put the sainsbos basics one away till winter.
70p spaghetti and beans. 35p cashback
£3 cat litter. It should last all month. Hopefully.

Wolfcub · 08/06/2018 15:15

Whit-woo Wreck you look amazing

Cagliostro · 08/06/2018 15:23

Been getting so stressed today. All this uncertainty is doing my head in. And so so much to do I can’t even think where to start.

But. Finally got a phone call from the HA. We are viewing the property first thing Monday. OMG OMG OMG.

Life is about to really change.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/06/2018 15:27

Sorry Wreck, saw boobage & boobage = Em.

Cag In a good way though! The baby won’t remember the current house.

Wolfcub · 08/06/2018 15:29

Cag that’s great news. I can complete understand why you are stressed though. Can you break it down into chunks so for example this weekend the who family (baby aside) could get involved in collecting as much stuff for the tip as you can, being really ruthless, so you’re not taking anything unwanted with you. This should then make packing easier.

On the packing front maybe start with winter things. You know you don’t need them now and you are so high up the list that even if this isn’t the house for you the likelihood is you will move before winter sets in. I’m so excited for you.

WreckTangled · 08/06/2018 15:30

Cag that's amazing!

Haha thanks! Fluffy I have pinned it now so less chance of boobage escaping

Cagliostro · 08/06/2018 15:49

I must admit wreck I would kill to have boobs like that again

Oh definitely in a good way fluffy! It’s quite overwhelming. But I am so excited and I feel like I can allow myself to be now.

Also found out the exact rule on turning houses down which is that if you reject a second one your application is cancelled. So it is literally this or take a risk on somewhere else (or avoid bidding on anything that doesn’t have comprehensive details on the council website - and many don’t). So it is even more unlikely that we will turn it down. It would need to have blood pouring from the walls or something (sorry, we were watching The Shining last night 😂). It seems too good to be true and the odd not so nice detail is not going to be enough to want to pass it up.

I still haven’t actually written anything in the Moving House notebook! 😳

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 08/06/2018 16:07

Oooo snuggly I know the answer to that gardening question!! Once the lupin flower stem is more than 50% seed heads then cut it off, this will encourage another flower and saves the plant wasting energy on making seeds.

I'm at work waiting for a timed visit, very happy that it's Friday! !

Lsd £3 meal deal for lunch.

ememem84 · 08/06/2018 16:41

Why is Friday dragging?!?! C’mon 5pm!!!!

Mummy needs to go to the pub for chicken goujons and garlic bread #twostarters and no booze because I’m driving home.

£9 lunch for me and lovely friend.

LonelyOversharer · 08/06/2018 16:48

Yes wolf just two of the sodding things for us. The one that burst (that was canvas bald anyway) and the other front one, which is not quite so bald but still illegal. We put super 19" wheels on the car (the huge chrysler, it needed something chunky), but it really ramps the tyre price up.

Thats a nice jumpsuit (? or are they called something else) wreck - I'd be putting a wee stitch in it too, not that I'd be brave enough to wear one (far too old). Dd3 had one last summer, always a bit tight getting it off in time for the loo though!

cag I'd leave the notebook until you have viewed, I've a feeling once you have looked round, and can see yourself there then the pages will fill up by themselves (I bet you love it).

em I love a fax noise! Back in the day that was all we had for comms on our ships, not even email. But then we still had telegraph and signal lamps back then too. Christ I'm old!

ememem84 · 08/06/2018 16:51

wreck love the jumpsuit!! I wouldn’t stitch it up though or pin it #tartymcboobflash

lonely I enjoyed the noise. Although it was loud. Everyone in the office heard it. And witnessed my “training” of junior member of staff. Given neither of us had faced before it was like the blind leading the blind. I’m pretty sure I just mashed the buttons and hoped for the best.

I am clock watching now.

WreckTangled · 08/06/2018 16:55

Em without the pin it completely shows my nipples when I move 🤣

Wolfcub · 08/06/2018 18:12

£40 nails brows and lashes plus tip. I look more like myself again now haven’t been for ages as my lady has been off and last month was such a tight month I didn’t book with anyone else.

Wolfcub · 08/06/2018 18:14

Oh and I’ve booked a spray tan before my hols because with my skin lll never get one there. Never had one before although I do sometimes use tan drops does anyone have any tips?

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/06/2018 19:32

Yep, I’m trained in spray tans.

Exfoliate, hair remove 24 hrs before. No morning showers etc. Do not use razors with moisturising strips, it’s very important to avoid these.

You can put glycerin based moisturiser on, no mineral oil, plant oils etc.

The next morning shower with water only to wash the guide colour off. The colours still developing at this point so no shower gel, soap etc.

The next day use a sodium laurel sulphate free cleanser, it’s a very efficient detergent and breaks the dha down. You need to pat dry, I find that bit the hardest.

On holiday the sun lotion, sea and chlorine will break it down so take some gradual tanner with you.

ememem84 · 08/06/2018 20:10

Maybe pin it then wreck haha!!

Home.

Mil has gone. We had a nice dinner. Ds was a superstar. Plopped him in the high chair at the pub. Waitress lady gave him a cushion to wedge behind him. He had his dinner then munched on some bread (from our sharing baked cammembert) and a couple of my chips. And he had a spoon of dh’s ice cream and one of mils Thai crackers.

Pub card had £25 on it and the pub lady gave us 20% off because ds is cute and was so well behaved. So total bill for 3 mains a starter a dessert two wines two beers and a blackcurrent and lemonade (me) £37. Woop. Frugal win.

I did start to feel funny after the cheese. Like a bit sicky. Dr said that will happen (especially seeing as the last few days I’ve eaten more than I probably have in the last week). But I powered through and ate my scampi’s (which were proper prawns not fakes!)

Dh is a bit low now. He said last night he’s sad to say goodbye to mil. Because it might be the last time. He’s had a lot of illnesses in his family recently. So I can see why he’s thinking that.

ChristmasSeacow · 08/06/2018 20:18

Well Em, I guess when big distances are involved that is a distinct possibility. Hopefully things will settle down at home now.

You look very nice HeadlessWreck, I hope you have a great time.

Cag don’t worry too much about what you have to do just yet - maybe see the house and write some lists and then delegate to DH Grin. You’ll have quite an overlap, at least you can take advantage of that to do things gradually. What do the DV think of it all?
