Excellent cake mammy. Happy birthday dd.

No storms here but train is forecasts later. £15 ordering ultrasun. I'm going to try it as I burnt yesterday with sun screen on. There is a tinted face one but it gets such mixed reviews in not sure whether to risk it. Also not sure if the shade as I'm quite fair.
Anyone tried it or any idea where I can sample it?

Sounds like gag reflex em. Poor snotty DS.

Iceland frozen do nobbly nobbly.

I love Gardner's world. We were at the good food show a couple of years ago an GW live was on. Was good.

ememem84 · 22/04/2018 08:17

Snotbags is full of beans today. Hoorah. Just when Mummy seems to be coming down with it. Bugger. Have vitamined to the max and am off out in a bit leaving snotbags and snotface (dh) to it.

LonelyOversharer · 22/04/2018 09:02

At about 1am we had a massive lightening storm. Proper light up the sky stuff. The sky is now back to a more normal grey.

Not planning much today, just sunday stuff, food, washing uniform. We went to my dnephews birthday party at the trampoline place yesterday, it was really good (cakes a success). Ds had never been on a trampoline (he's nearly 6 Blush) so was overwhelmed, but soon got the hang of it.

ememem84 · 22/04/2018 09:44

Score!! Less than £10 at car boot and I have a bag and a half of clothes for ds aged ranges 6m -1y. Woohoo.

QuiteCleanBandit · 22/04/2018 09:49

Slept through the storm .
Fab em
I always got DC clothes from NCT sales -they grow so fast and it was all Osh-Kosh etc for a few pounds.
Plan for today is to tackle the garden.
Chooks are sunbathing Smile

Wolfcub · 22/04/2018 10:47

That’s a great result Em.

Lonely I love the vision of ds experiencing a trampoline for the first time
Quite I’d love to have chickens, I am obsessed with them, garden is too small though

scattyspice · 22/04/2018 11:38

Been for a walk in the rain with dd. DS at army cadets thing and dh out with biker friends. Should be another NSD. Brilliant how they are racking up since I started taking notice 😊.

ememem84 · 22/04/2018 11:39

It’s all basically new stuff too. So yay!

One lady was selling bundles of clothes. In plastic boxes. £20 a box including the box. Dsis wanted to buy it all for ds. And was asking the lady if she had PayPal...we could have clothes him until he was 18m for around £100. Tempting but it wouldn’t have all fitted in the car. And storage:::

WreckTangled · 22/04/2018 11:47

It's really sunny here again. Just getting some washing on the line.

Cagliostro · 22/04/2018 11:50

Amazing cake!

Tired. Cagletini woke just after midnight and didn’t sleep more than 15 minutes at a time thereafter Confused Hmm

Wolfcub · 22/04/2018 12:28

Some of dh’s stuff moved from living room to office. Payment from my account through one of his emails that I can’t access put into dispute. Plan of action tomorrow to open new bank account and switch bills to that in my name, contact child benefit office and change the one bill I can find that isn’t insurance from joint names to my name.
I also reduced the overdraft facility on the joint account from big 4 figs to small 3 figs so he can’t screw me that way

Taytocrisps · 22/04/2018 13:17

Did a big clear out of clothes today. I've a few bags of old clothes to drop into the second hand shop. I must check the opening hours. It's open for something like 2 hours, twice a week. I'm also going to get DD to root out last year's summer clothes and see what fits from last year and what doesn't. I wish we had proper seasons in Ireland so I could confidently put away clothes from one season and take out clothes for the next season. As it stands, I never really put away my winter clothes because you can have a cold, rainy day in July or August when the heating's off and I find I need a warm jumper or cardi. At the end of the summer I put away very summery clothes like shorts or strappy tops but I wear most of my tops all year around.

I have to pop to the shops later to pick up stuff for dinner - chicken fajitas I think. I need to do a proper Tesco shop. I might get a delivery for Tuesday.

ememem84 · 22/04/2018 14:40

I do that tayto I just have “clothes” in winter I wear some of my more summery dresses with tights and boots.

We’ve been to the “lifestyle” show here. Dh was desperate to go. It was crap. He wanted to go to get inspiration for our new house. But we have insurances, don’t need a funeral, don’t want vibrating massage tables of hot tubs....

Went for a walk and flipped ds’ buggy so he’s forward facing. He seemed happier that way now he can see what’s going on. Then dropped into see dparents.

Now Home and dh and ds are napping and I’m cleaning/tidying etc.

Tomorrow I may do town shopping. I need Dm to come with me and she needs to be at dsis’ place on Tuesday afternoon at 3. I suggested town in the morning but she needs to be there at 3. Which I could understand if dsis lives hours away. But she lives 10 minutes from them. I want Dm with me as I’m buying a car seat for her car. And want to make sure she’s happy with it.

SnugglySnerd · 22/04/2018 16:21

Gah! Still haven't caught up! If anything the weekend has been busier than the week.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 22/04/2018 17:03

We have had a nice day, borrowed my friends dog and went for a lovely walk round a local NT place.

Picked up a new water bottle for dd £5.

Had a conversation with my mum regarding Gardeners world and the fact that they should do more about gardening on a tight budget, I think Monty may have forgotten how the other half live 😕

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/04/2018 17:08

Lovely cake mammy

wolf good idea.

NSD.

SunnyLikeThursday · 22/04/2018 17:22

Girlie have you seen the Beechgrove Garden? I find it fantastic for actually practical gardening and especially on a budget.

QuiteCleanBandit · 22/04/2018 17:26

Monty is always reusing his pots and taking cuttings .
He made little pots out of old newspaper this week.
I like seeing his gorgeous garden -I can dream of what it would be like if I won the lottery .Smile

LonelyOversharer · 22/04/2018 18:04

I have a fruit cage. It is a lot bigger than I was planning, but it's done bar securing the roof netting and trimming it. 100% recycled. Used the jungle gym platform to make a bit of decking to put pots on, weed barrier down (I stitched 2 lengths together with my sewing machine so the weeds can't slip up through the gap), and all the soft fruit has been relocated. I'll pop a photo on tomorrow.

Nsd for me, but dp had to buy coffee.

The sun is finally out now, it's been gloomy all day, but dry and not windy. Got quite a few hours worth of work done too.

I will buy some blueberry plants (from somewhere like suttons) now the fruit won't get eaten by birds.

SunnyLikeThursday · 22/04/2018 18:22

That sounds amazing Lonely. Well done!

SunnyLikeThursday · 22/04/2018 18:32

I have discovered that cod liver oil seems to be the vitamin D source that works on me. How long do you reckon I can take that before I develop a persistent aroma of fish? Cats following me in the street.

QuiteCleanBandit · 22/04/2018 18:40

Its been glorious here and have been outside all day.
Huge garden clear up and lunch outside.
Did some baking later -4 cakes , 2 gifted already Smile
I really fancy some blueberries Lonely

SnugglySnerd · 22/04/2018 18:59
