Morning 🌞. Hope DS feeling better today em.

tayto I went through summer clothes yesterday too. DS ok as hardly grown since last year, dd will need shorts. I won't need anything except bras and some shoes for a function in July.

Working today. £12 to dd for dance classes.

WreckTangled · 21/04/2018 07:19

Duchess it really depends when you go. Parking itself is fine, expensive for peak but it can queue back all the way to Stockbridge roundabout in Chichester if you try going from about 10/11 on a hot day. That's why we love going after school, drive straight in and £3 to park. Either that or go really early and be prepared to leave by lunch time as it gets so busy.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/04/2018 07:20

Oh and £101 Sainsbury's, £8 lunch yesterday, plus paid dance fees of £91 and £160

WreckTangled · 21/04/2018 07:28

Em hope ds is feeling better today.

Life it's always sad leaving a job but I find that the people in the new job always make up for it Smile

Ds has lost his first tooth! So need to find a pound. Will get washing dried on the line today

LonelyOversharer · 21/04/2018 07:56

Morning all, a beautiful day here too. It's so novel. And I clearly err a bit to SAD, as I feel great today, will have another coffee and get outside.

Will pop out for some bits later, but nothing too spendy.

Hope ds had a good night em parenting is just joy and guilt, as far as I can tell!

Wolfcub · 21/04/2018 08:03

Ah Wreck first tooth that’s a special moment.
These beaches sound lovely, I lived near some very nice ones whilst studying and I do miss just being able to hop to the beach.
Em I hope ds is a bit better this morning and you both managed some sleep
Life glad you got a good send off, it’s always sad to leave people you are fond of and a place you are comfortable with

£5 in the pub last night. My head hurts today not because of the amount of drinking 🍻 but because I’ve worked out beer always gives me a shocking head

Today will be guided by what ds feels like doing. I need to but anti histamines so a Lidl trip is on the cards. Ocado shop coming tonight now estimated at £98 as I added some things to the trolley over the week including cleanser which is spendy and I will probably refund the bill account for

ememem84 · 21/04/2018 08:19

Morning.

Ds woke up at 4 had a massive coughing fit, I gave him some water (as I don’t think he drank enough yesterday), popped him back down in his cot, then he started singing and giggling. Ffs. Then it rained. So cooled the air somewhat. Then there was a low flying plane (probably the news paper plane). Then I dropped off to sleep. Then Ds cried again so I plopped him on bed with me. And he nodded off. Dh has just woken me up with toast and blackcurrent jam, tea, water, and a bowl of strawberries and grapes.

Ds is all smiles. He’s had no calpol or ibruprofen since about 730 last night. Isn’t ear tugging. Is still snotty. But seems full of beans.

Phew. Until tonight.

I’ve tols dh he has to make sure Ds has lots of water today.

I’m off to the rheumatologist at 10 then riding at 12. Then nothing.

Last night I spent around £60 on amazon on a pop up beach tent, car sunshades, some small portion food pots and a insulated lunch bag. Realised yesterday that we only have huge Tupperware pots to put ds’ food in for our and about. So needed something smaller and needed something to keep things cold in this heat. The bag will also serve as a lunch bag for me for work.

ememem84 · 21/04/2018 10:00

Back from specialists. Nothing showed up in my bloods. So we’re back to no reason for my hand/wrist pain. But it’s eased up loads. So we’re leaving it for 6 months. And I’m to call if it comes back.

Now at the car wash. £6.50. Car is filthy. I was going to do it myself but cba.

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 21/04/2018 10:32

Thanks Wreck

ememem84 · 21/04/2018 11:03

Never driven through a car wash before. Scary!!!

Car is mostly clean. I wasn’t expecting it to come out sparkling. It was filthy. Still moss growing on the windows but the worst of the dirt has gone. Money well spent in my opinion!

WreckTangled · 21/04/2018 11:37

I always go through the car wash. We have one which is manned so you have people giving it a pressure wash etc first then you go through the car wash.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/04/2018 11:40

I always put the car through the car wash em it takes 10 mins compared to me doing it which would be half hour at least!!

I'm sat in my car while dd is riding, annoyingly it's raining ☔☔☔ I have washing on the line so am fed up!!

My mum is looking after my nephew today and invited us to go swimming later so will do that I think, need to do some housework at some point as house is looking a tad neglected. ...

mammynowanauntyIRL · 21/04/2018 11:52

I need to catch up Grin
Busy weekend so will see if I can.

Spends last night in Penney's
€12 on a bodysuit for me and sleeveless shirt, shirt going back so €8 refund
€18.80 on converse type runners, sandals & leggings for dd, sandals going back so €8 refund.
Annoyingly I left my €10 voucher from surveys in car so I'm going to see if I can get a shirt I liked in my size today with it.

€15 on 700ml Pantene conditioner and brolene drops, I've got conjunctivitis and won't get to doctor before Monday for antibiotic drops Sad
€16.20 on pancakes for dc and ham, cheese and poached egg bagel for me. Belated birthday breakfast for dd after ds's rugby
€6 on frame for cross stitch gift for my niece, think kit cost €4 in Aldi, so just time really Grin

mammynowanauntyIRL · 21/04/2018 12:12

Reprieve from busy day dss is taking dc to cinema for dds Birthday at 1pm so I will be able to decorate cake in peace

LonelyOversharer · 21/04/2018 12:26

Okayyy. So spendy afterall.

Dd3 and I have mostly dug all the ground elder and nettles out of my "fruit cage" spot, but we needed a break, so popped to the shops. £4 hobbycraft, £5 m&s (sweets) £6 cucumber plants (complete germination fail) and £97 in asda. Split down, it's a little top up shop and these bits: 3 for 2 on vitamins (got 6 packs) £16, cat food £8, shorts and vests for 3 youngest dc £40 ish. No more baby sizes, even dd3 in age 10-11 a 2 pack of shorts is £8. But we won't need a lot more summer clothes now.

I wore a short cord skirt I got last autumn, it only just did up, so I've definately bulked up, I don't think last summers size 8 shorts will fit at all. Legs out though!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 21/04/2018 13:04

€8 sweets for cinema

€16 refund to card, spent €10 voucher on shirt for me €9 €3 socks for dd and €2 on superhero plasters for ds, he got nothing either day
€2.50 parking

Weirdly the size 12 shirt that was too tight on my upper arms yesterday fitted today so I've a light blue shirt with white spots with a navy body with white spots under it for tomorrow's party

€1.60 on newspaper and €50 on diesel paid by fuelcard so will be a little cheaper

mammynowanauntyIRL · 21/04/2018 13:18

Must take pic of cross stitch for ye before I put name details on it

Wolfcub · 21/04/2018 15:31

Ds and I went to the wildlife park, it’s only a little one run by students but it was nice in the sun. We took a picnic so 11.98 entry but no extra spends. 15.99 in Lidl for antihistamines, stuff for a pick up for ds tomorrow for an activity and a pizza for tea because I’m knackered and can’t be arsed cooking.
Ocado coming later but bill is now 83 as my cleanser is missing

Loveabaconsandwich · 21/04/2018 15:51

I live about 20 mins from the nearest tourist busy beach. And then probably 40 mins from quieter ones. But we rarely go, probably because we live so close Hmm

I am so tired today and went to work this morning. DD2 and DP seem to keep taking it in turns to wake me up before 6am this week. I have no idea how six weeks ago I used to get up at 5.20am and function 😂

I’ve just had a nap. Poor DP was getting hassled by the kid next door to play with him. He kept politely telling him he couldn’t as he was playing with his children and no he couldn’t come in our garden. I swear our neighbours think we should be entertaining their child too and they must hear him constantly pestering us.

Yesterday
£50 Rainbows subs and trip payment for DD1
£62 Tesco (DP did the shopping)
£1 ice lollies

Today
NSD

ememem84 · 21/04/2018 15:58

Ds is napping. Hoorah. He sounds super hoarse today. But according to dh whose spent most of the day with him he’s fine. It’s clouded over here but it’s still hot as. We’re due a storm apparently. Tomorrow it’s meant to drop back to 14 degrees. Much nicer for ds.

Am currently sorting laundry. Dh is watching tv because he’s got a cold. Then I’m hoovering and washing up. Dh has made a slag bowl and a chicken curry.

Wolfcub · 21/04/2018 16:07

Stripped and washed bed linen, new set out and other set on the line. I am going to gut the linen drawer when ds is out tomorrow I think.

SunnyLikeThursday · 21/04/2018 16:32

Love we have gap in the hedge so all the kids can stream through to play together. Then the parents don't have to play at all. It works out well for everybody here.

Loveabaconsandwich · 21/04/2018 16:42

The problem is that DD1 and DD2 argue, shout and scream at each other constantly if we don’t supervise/play sunny. They are 3 and 6. I feel sorry for my other neighbours when they are left to their own devices out there. I also feel responsible for the other child if he comes in my garden too and to be honest I don’t like looking after other people’s children when I want to relax and enjoy my time with my children Blush . It appears I am getting grumpy in my old age!

QuiteCleanBandit · 21/04/2018 16:44

Ive done my bedlinen-need to get it in and replace.
Hair -roots and quick tweak, not quite due a trim £40
Tesco-huge tray perfect strawberries £4
We closed the gap in our hedge and there was a gate which we took out.
I didntcwant neighbours to be able to claim right of way plus I didnt want other children constantly coming in.
VERY nasty incident when my youngest was 7/8 and playing at a friends with others and both sets of parents thought the other was looking after the DC .
Accident happened (not to my DC)...

QuiteCleanBandit · 21/04/2018 16:47

I didnt mind playdates (much)lovebut children playing in big feral groups nope!
