It’s a virus wreck so whatever you do it’ll only go when her immune system notices it.

Because it’s wrapped in keratin it doesn’t notice it quickly.

You can rub it down with a foot file, hold the skin tight and file but not with excessive pressure. They don’t hurt on pressing but they do hurt on pinching from the side ie they don’t cause much pain on walking.

WreckTangled · 18/03/2018 08:35

Thanks. Will give it a file after her bath tonight. It just looks so gross.

Wolfcub · 18/03/2018 09:03

Plenty snow here and the roads are a disaster as usual, this is not bodeing well either for dh taking ds out for the morning so I can do interview prep or me getting to London tomorrow, hopefully it melts soon.

Wreck I used salicylic acid on both mine & dds last year, soak foot, file verruca with a nail file, paint with acid & cover with a plaster. Mine went away much more quickly than dds however.

mammymammyIRL · 18/03/2018 09:19

Laska beautiful light dusting.

Laska5772 · 18/03/2018 09:25

DH had a verruca for like 2 years a couple of years ago, it was bizarre. He literally tried everything under the sun multiple times with advice from his GP and nothing really helped. Eventually it just went away itself after not being touched for ages! It was so odd. And I never got one from him either.

Bandit I am a bed sock fan too, my feet are always cold when I get into bed otherwise and then I can't sleep cos of it.

We don't have that many socks with it being just the two of us, I guess that is soon to change, eek!

I'm too scared to try a moon cup but I've heard they are easier to use if you've given birth vaginally before so I might try one a few months after baby. But I doubt I'd be able to do it with it due to my poor coordination, it sounds like a recipe for disaster for someone as clumsy as me. Otherwise I like the idea. I'm also really not good with my own anatomy, I use tampons but only applicator ones and don't think I could hack a non-applicator one so not sure moon cup will be feasible but willing to give it a go at some point for the environmental and cost benefits.

QuiteCleanBandit · 18/03/2018 10:28

Meadow
Best tip for babies is to put socks on them in bed, even over a sleepsuit with feet.
Always did this and mine were champion sleepers !

ememem84 · 18/03/2018 10:40

quite we did this with SS especially when it was super cold. Socks and scratch mits then a sleepsuit with feet and mits.

QuiteCleanBandit · 18/03/2018 10:44

em I have a theory that their feet get cold and wake them up.
Sales of baby socks soar !
Gap ones the best for staying on but if they pull socks off -put tights on them .
My DSs lived in tights as babies

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 18/03/2018 12:15

Loads of snow here, very annoying!! Dd is at the theatre all day, the show is tonight at 6 pm praying it doesn't get cancelled! My dad reckons they can't get out of his village so reckons they can't come 😟 bloody weather!!

I have nothing on today, have been to a friends for coffee but home now. Think might do some baking, I used up a load of spuds Ystd by peeling and par boiling, lightly oiled and salted and now in the freezer 😇 am thinking might batch make Yorkshire puds to freeze as well.

mammymammyIRL · 18/03/2018 12:19

Girlie I was thinking of batch making Yorkshire puddings during the week too.

Snowing here so finely you wouldn't even see it

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 18/03/2018 13:43

Got a fair covering here...

Have made 12 yorkies and some oat cake for good measure.

Ginger cake, choc buns, breakfast granola bar made.
£13 £shop, swimming free as someone was ill in the pool and refunds were given. £60 binns but all in vouchers, £10 Waterstones cafe to fill in time between pool and eye test. .
Sainsbury's tomorrow

Wolfcub · 18/03/2018 15:55

Life that’s grim, that would have me standing in the shower for an hour with a bottle of dettol (I am not good with 🤮)

At least four hours prep done and essential ironing, feeling a bit stressed now it hit me right at the end of prep and hasn’t gone away so I need to get that back under contol

Dh and ds home now, sounds like they’ve had a pleasant but spendy day

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/03/2018 16:53

Wolf. I found reading my competencies out loud helpful. You get used to your voice saying then and your can reword some bits you might stumble on.
Deep breath in and out. Have a break and look again tomorrow.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/03/2018 17:11

Good luck Wolf

Mmm yummy roast dinner the dc even ate it! We had chicken, stuffing, broccoli, carrots, leeks, roaties and Yorkshire's. Apply crumble for pudding!

SunnyLikeThursday · 18/03/2018 18:17

We just had our swimming lesson, which was freezing. We were also chucked out of the pool early because a by spat up in the pool. Must be the season for it. Gosh-darn it's chilly outside with wet hair.

I'm looking forward to it being warm again. I'm done with winter now.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/03/2018 18:22

I've started sorting paperwork - 5 years of credit card bills anyone??

MeadowHay · 18/03/2018 18:29

Calling all the cooks on this thread, help please! I want to make this: www.cookingchanneltv.com/recipes/marcela-valladolid/mexican-style-slaw-1921624 next weekend, DM's coming over for her birthday for dinner and I'm doing a Mexican theme, but I can't locate jicama. Does anyone have an idea what would be a good substitute? Online most places recommend water chestnuts but I can only find tinned ones so not ideal. I was thinking red cabbage or white cabbage maybe given it's like a coleslaw?

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/03/2018 18:51

Meadow are your cooking the Jimcama or serving it raw?
Green apple (grant Smith) or celery are raw subs?
