I visited a friend yesterday who has two tiny kids with food intolerance problems and constant viruses like we used to and she was soooo stressed and sleep deprived. I wish there was a way to send in a helicopter to rescue Mums who are basically on fire like that. It's very hard though, because she's doing a tough job, and nobody much can really help.

Em Chip off? Grin

Wolfcub · 16/03/2018 14:12

Good show Em, hope the wine helps

ememem84 · 16/03/2018 15:22

Gotta start young laksa

We’re home now. I’ve spoken to dh. He thinks I’m being incredibly unreasonable by saying that I want a yes or a no by 12 noon on Monday. And saying that Unless we sell next Friday I’m not selling.

If it’s not next Friday it’ll be 6 April which is just too close to ds going to nursery. Too much change won’t be good for him.

Dh says we should just keep waiting. I’ve told him he’s more than happy to do that but if it doesn’t go next Friday I’m doing no more packing cleaning moving. It’s all on him. I’ll mkve my things. But nothing else.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/03/2018 17:51

It’s not a proper housemove till you’ve had words em. It’s like Christmas or holidays.

12 day meal plan Wreck, I like it.

£5.50 wilko. Paint stripper, edging brush, tester pot. I painted a bit on paper and the cat sat on it so I’ve had to clean him up. Then he sat on it again 🤔, now he’s sulking with me.
£1.99 wall mounted soap dish. I had a £10 nectar balance for the rest. Dh asked if it was fired Earth. I’ve created a monster, he hadn’t heard of them before me.

55p yellow split peas for soup next week. They are Uber cheap but have more protein than lentils. Like. Very filling.

The wilko obsession is worsening. I’ll need an intervention soon. Wilko probably sell interventions. I oscillate between them and dunelm mill venetian taped blinds. It’s the proletariat John Lewis.

WreckTangled · 16/03/2018 17:59

Fluffy I was supposed to get 14 but didn't quite manage it, although I reckon I could rustle up another two! I love wilkos too!

ememem84 · 16/03/2018 18:02

Phew fluffy glad we’re doing things right at least! Ha!
Ds is rolling around on the floor - he’s just started grabbing his feet. He’s pulled his socks off four times already. It’s cold otherwise I’d leave him bare feet.

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/03/2018 18:11

Just had a really frustrating time after school. Ds can't run fast enough to play tig properly and can't talk maturely enough to form social bonds. Went to visit grandparents' house and got him to draw a map for a beavers badge instead. He's gone for a playdate now, so he certainly has staying power.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/03/2018 18:18

em You just need one of you to refuse to talk to the other in the morning until you’ve had a latte and an egg McMuffin and you can call house on your bingo card of moving stress.

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/03/2018 18:43

A lady who is a mum in our school and who works in my husband's building has asked him if he would like to carpool (in her car). I feel I ought to challenge her to a dual in the public street. Do you think that would be the right thing?

Laska5772 · 16/03/2018 18:47

We dont have Wilkos here Sad..

so spends .. I may have bought something from Hush this week, but i also sent back something for the same amount.. so £79

Food spends:
£37 in co op . yesterday , and £15 in Morrisons on a bottle of Campari! ( we are making Negronis this weekend when friends comes round for dinner tomorrow ) but apart from salad and maybe some posh cheese we are set for weekend,.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/03/2018 18:52

Evening all

I love Wilkos as well Fluffy they have some right bargains in there.

Sunny being resilient and having staying power are important traits, I hope your ds enjoys his play date.

Thats interesting about waving and pointing before a year old being ASD indicators Seacow dd was late to do all these things (I can't remember if it was before or after a year old but was certainly later than her peers) also late to smile and laugh, she crawled at 11 months and then walked a few weeks later. Although she has some ASD traits such as the SPD and some social difficulties afaik she doesn't come under the ASD spectrum. She was and is sociable, is able to empathise (sometimes too well) and generally fairly 'typical' for her age. I can totally understand your concerns though, I don't think any parent would choose for their child to struggle any more than necessary!

I'm tired today, glad its Friday.

NSD I think.

There is apparently snow forecast for Sunday Hmm we will see, its been a beautiful sunny day today, will be very annoyed if it does snow as am ready for the weather to start warming up!! Plus dd has a show on Sunday so would be horrible if it got cancelled or anything.

Fluffy did you find the bicarb on your teeth helped brighten them up?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/03/2018 18:55

Grin Sunny what did your dh say? Its probably totally innocent....

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/03/2018 18:56

I only did it once and then lost interest. So no.

Sunny Do it. I know a marriage that broke up after the Dh started “car sharing”. It’s the new “come in for coffee”.

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/03/2018 19:04

I'm sure it's fine really. I just find it funny how I can be a total flirt all the time, whereas I get really twitchy if someone says something like that to my dh. It's funny where the red lines are isn't it?

Girlie I didn't walk until 22 months. My Mum must have been knackered, lugging a nearly-two-year-old round the place. and I turned out perfectly obviously LOL!

ememem84 · 16/03/2018 19:10

I bought some charcoal toothpaste which isn’t meant to do wonders. Too scared to use it though. What if it turns my teef black?!?!

LonelyOversharer · 16/03/2018 19:24

It's been a long day of doing not much. Lots of trailing aroung picking up/dropping off bikes.

Spent £14 in tescos, but £7.50 of that was for a kilo of salmon (so a trimmed side), this seems very good value, will be portioned for the freezer. Not had salmon for months as it's so expensive now. This will do us twice.

Bad spends: pound shop £6 (a raspberry plant, seed potatoes and sweets) £4.99 b&m (cherry tree) and £9 b&q (seed potatoes and spring onion seeds).

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/03/2018 19:36

Those are def not bad spends lonely they will end up feeding you! I wish I had more space to grow food! I have a small apple tree but it only produced one apple 😂 might consider another fruit tree in a large container possibly. ...

MeadowHay · 16/03/2018 19:53

Another big wilkos fan here! I have fond memories of my mam and her extended family taking us all to the café in the big wilkos in her home city. I used to always have egg and chips! Still go there occasionally when we visit their city Grin.

Spends today 70p on a can of coca cola zero in my work canteen. Much prefer proper coke but I thought it's probably better to avoid all the sugar given how much sugar I already have in my diet. Sigh.

I am working overtime tomorrow for 5 hours and it is time and a half so will be earning £60ish. Not tons but every little definitely helps atm. Eek that reminds me I need to pay the rent...into my overdraft I go...Sad

Sunny Grin Tbh though that wouldn't bother me at all. I am super chill and trust DH 100%, the thought wouldn't really arise. Car-pooling is generally convenient, cheaper, and better for the environment Smile. Well done to your DS on his stamina too Grin!

Loveabaconsandwich · 16/03/2018 20:02

I used to car share with a colleague until I decided my life was more important as his driving was scary. I was about 20 years younger than him, I wonder what his wife thought GrinShock

NSD and I have continued on my making packed lunches streak. I still feel so Halo

I can’t remember who mentioned it, but I think we all regret our spending in years gone by and it is depressing what the money, if saved, could have achieved. I have a house/loft full of stuff and I wish I didn’t!

Laska5772 · 16/03/2018 20:44

All for Teef... Arm and Hammer Extreme whitening toothpaste . The best.. Only buy when 2 for 1 .

DH swears by Pearl Drops (I am not so convinced ) again we only buy when on offers

Laska5772 · 16/03/2018 20:46

I once had a car share partner ,,.. gave it up right quick in a few weeks when he decided he wanted to leave his wife for me. (young and lovely as I was!!) . however I am sure not all car shares are like that ..

ememem84 · 16/03/2018 21:53

I’m currently using blanx for my teefs. It’s my fave by far. But expensive. Again only buy it when on offer.

Hoping by the time I’m done with Invisalign I’ll have beautiful white straight Hollywood teeth. 😁😬

Wolfcub · 16/03/2018 22:02

I think pearl drops is terrible, really dry and chalky. I like oral b 3D White when it’s on offer
