Highly recommend Bravissimo who dont measure.
Looked at me and got a couple of sizes and designs -went up a cup to 32 FF and it was a miracle Grin
I was stunned but it makes sense, you can have wide, flat breasts but lots of breast tissue or narrow ribcage (me) but with boobs all out in front .
They are actually genius at what they do just by looking !

Wool Warehouse -cant see any Lopi in the sale Unescorted -Yes I looked at 6am Blush
I do have 2 lots of Lopi waiting to be knitted.
Have you tried Ravelry the hoodie pattern might be available on there .

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/02/2018 07:20

No filter that does sound tough and I totally see why you want to help and spend the money. However yes you need to toughen up with your brother.
Add for the healthcare it depends on a lot of stuff. How healthy are you for a start? Can your postpone while your use that money for debt? Could you get it back of your need it? Have you got the best deal, could your get a better package?

Why does this bloody cough get worse when I lie down bastard

Hope people got back to sleep.
Sorry can't help with wool
Bravissimo are good but can be pricey. Then again there wasn't much difference for my norks so I bought 1 from there then went online for the same bra in multiple colours

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/02/2018 07:21

No It depends what you want out of the health cover. If you get something like cancer or a stroke you'll be under the NHS anyway and receive excellent care. If you need physio for tennis elbow you can go private for £40 a session.

I would cut the cord on your db, you can love people without bankrolling them. He wouldn't be able to save for Vegas if you weren't all behind him. There's no fancy holiday for your dc is there? Sad

LonelyOversharer · 21/02/2018 08:40

I use a fab app called "dirty needles" you log in through ravelry on the app, so any favourites etc link up. It's just reams and reams of nice big photos. Very good for endless quick pattern searches. The yarn I found is devine. Almost too good for me! I think it was for a poncho type thing. I always thought Lopi would be scratchy, is it? I love lopi patterns though, gotta love a top down intarsia yoke knitted in the round!

We have a hard frost this morning, so I'm sorting ds' room to make way for a furniture storage cube thing that was at the shop. We're currently using it as a table in the kitchen. There is not room for a table in the kitchen. Once it warms up a bit I'll carry on outside.

nofilter as per, I'm with fluffy, I think some tough love is required re your brother. Yes, supporting our dc is normal, bankrolling an adult sibling is not. He only works sometimes because you pay for everything. I'm sure he'd find more work if you pulled the plug some. Saving for a holiday is childish if he's got to finance a house move. He can do this as he knows you'll pay for his house. Do you want him living with you at the farm? Will he help out, or contribute? I know you are bring unbelievably kind, but I think it's called enabling. And it sounds like he knows it.

Wolfcub · 21/02/2018 09:04

On the train for our London day trip. Bus fares not frugal at all but cheaper than parking. Bus was over 30 mins late so only just made the train and am currently wheezing like and old woman. Trying to find an upside at least there was no time for coffee at the station. Will need to buy tube tickets and lunch.

SunnyLikeThursday · 21/02/2018 09:28

Quite We do have a Bravissimo here and it looks lovely, but they only go down to D cup. I've never really been anywhere near a B let alone a D.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/02/2018 09:49

www.enhancebra.com/#/ I want one of these for my birthday. I'm willing to go halves with Dh on it.

LonelyOversharer · 21/02/2018 10:23

sunny you could pop along to them for a chat. Cup sizes aren't what they used to be I think. You might be surprised. And they'll be able to point you in the right direction for another store which will be able to help, if they can't.

My day keeps getting better...we are out of gas. Apparently there is a national shortage just now, so I'm still waiting for my december delivery. So, we wait. I have gone on the "run out" list. So, no hob, central heating or hot water until further notice. (And I'm £300 in credit, so have essentially paid for the delivery I'm due, humpf). The customer services lady was lovely though.

LonelyOversharer · 21/02/2018 10:29

I always found my big breasts such a burden. I longed for the small pert things my peers had! They are now the smallest they've ever been without being 'empty', and I'm just about happy with them (visable lumpy tissue aside).

WreckTangled · 21/02/2018 11:10

Wolf no need for tube tickets just use contactless card.

I pulled up outside of costa...then drove off Halo

SunnyLikeThursday · 21/02/2018 11:18

I just got a penalty notice for driving for driving in a bus lane in Colchester when trying to find my way back from the zoo. Ratso. I only noticed that it was a bus lane after I was already in it.

Wrongwayup · 21/02/2018 11:41

Dirty needles. Made me think heroin. Its because I have volunteered with addicts. Honest. Good that its a lovely day here. But also bad as spent 87£ on plants. Woops

Nofilter · 21/02/2018 11:50

I must admit I had a “what a mix of random subjects on this thread”!! When I’ve come to read it today aha

I did not expect to be looking at all this stuff when I wanted to be frugal!!

It’s really good to hear opinions RE my DB as I get zero support from my Mum when I say it’s crazy for him to be going to Vegas when he’s about to become homeless!

Yes, I’m pulling the plug I really have to as it’s not fair on my DD we could have been on our way to a Saving for a centerparcs trip with that.

I’m somehow immune to comparing that gift to DB to my trip to Aldi today penny pinching - weird.

Cagliostro · 21/02/2018 11:57

Booked Cagletini in at the doctors. I’m not usually worried by coughs, it probably is just a virus but it’s getting worse and she gets pretty distressed with it so thought I should get her checked just in case it’s an infection.

Ordered a couple of books yesterday, for the WBD party activities. More people have bought tickets now and I’ve totally covered all my costs yay! Just need to sort out what needs printing.

LonelyOversharer · 21/02/2018 12:13

nofilter we take some getting used to!

cag good idea, you've given her a few days to get over it. Definitely get her checked. Will help anxiety too.

My gas will be delivered tomorrow, so just a day without any. We will survive! Tea is in the slow cooker, and the washing up can wait another day!

ChristmasSeacow · 21/02/2018 12:54

No gas sounds Shock.

NoFilter I would defo stop supporting your DB. It might be hard at times but things won’t change for him unless he is truly motivated, ie has to support himself, no choice. It’s cruel to be kind in the long run.

You’ve all made me look at Lopi yarn now and I am drooling - hope someone is going to say it’s scratchy and horrible?

I’ve spent £3.10 in Ts on spinach and blueberries and £28 in Superdrug, much of which was on 3-4-2 multivitamins. That was a conscious decision to up my self-care. I haven’t really been looking after myself since having dd and especially since Christmas. So I’ve decided:

  1. Go cold turkey on chocolate. I really am addicted (I don’t say that lightly!) and it’s doing me absolutely no good. So it has to stop. I am expecting this to be very hard.
  1. Take multi vitamins along with a better diet. Main meals are already quite good, it’s snacks and breakfasts that are bad. And I generally need to up the veg
  1. Look after my appearance better. So along with vitamins I bought some muddy face packs and eye drops for my dry itchy eyes and razors for my neglected legs.... will also book a hair cut and colour.

Dd needs to sleep but she’s been hiccuping for over an hour! I’ve spent an hour or so this morning taking photos of her with my proper camera (a million times better than iPhone pics) so I will work those up tonight. She’s 8 months old tomorrow, I can’t believe it!

Nofilter · 21/02/2018 13:01

Hi Cag,

Have you seen those really powerful Vics Vapor machines? I bought one second hand on eBay and use natural eucalyptus oil and it fills the room with steam and relives my Dds chest when she is bad. Nothing else has worked so far. I think they are humidifiers and I paid £15 for mine preloved?

I’m not sure if this goes against any NHS advice etc but worked for us xx

SunnyLikeThursday · 21/02/2018 13:06

nofilter I'm learning a lot from this thread too. There are a lot of subjects that would have made my hair curl in the past, and now I am even discussing them with cheerful abandon in real life. It surprises my real life friends quite a lot.

SunnyLikeThursday · 21/02/2018 13:07

Speaking of which, I still miss CremeEggThief.

Nofilter · 21/02/2018 13:08

I’ve just checked and it’s called the Vik’s Vapouriser...

Anyone else have a fussy eating child, DD2 is literally living on mash and cheese, I hide/blend veg into the cheese...

I’m stuck as all she still wants is milk. I give her the morning bottle, then after she’s had a good drink I’ll take it away to try and let her get hungry but by midday nap she needs another bottle to sleep with and will just start crying saying “milk milk milk!”.

Evening meals are slightly better, but basically variants f mashed potato!

So I’ve spoken to my Dr and asked his advice on a line of vitamins I’ve liked the sound of called ChildLife. No she’s having Multi Vit, First defence, Euchanacia, Vit C, Fatty Acids, Colostrum and Probiotic Powder, Liquid Calcium. So I can tailor it to when she’s coming down with a bug. I don’t know if it’s working BUT DD was I’ll constabtky from September until around 3wks ago when I stared her in these and is now fine. Getting temps and sniffles but it’s not turning into anything.

WWYD?

;-)

Nofilter · 21/02/2018 13:09

They are expensive I think I’ll need to spend £30ish a month on them...

SunnyLikeThursday · 21/02/2018 13:21

Nofilter I had a friend whose kid lived entirely on macaroni cheese for a couple of years. Their pediatrician said it wasn't that unusual and that if he was going to only eat one thing then going very heavy on the dairy was a good choice, and that they should just keep giving him the macaroni cheese and not worry about it. The kid is 25 and huge and healthy now.

If those vitamin supplements have got your dd to the point where she is now fine, then that's great too. Good that you are checking in with your GP though just to be sure.

I'd be interested to know more about those supplements you are giving her. Would you have a minute to list the actual brands? They sound good.

WreckTangled · 21/02/2018 13:55

We use the vicks vapour plus in it's really good.

Nofilter I would replace the bottle with a cup, get rid of all bottles completely and go from there

Nofilter · 21/02/2018 13:57

Of course.

I’ve found the cheapest place to buy them is Luckyvitamin.com or iherb.com. They are by ChildLife.com. Organic non GMO supplements. If you visit their site they have two sets - a general set for day to day and then a set for if they are coming down with something or poorly. I like that they are liquid/powder and can be added to milk. I’m also going to try the chewable toothbrush ones that help teeth as my DD is hard work with teeth brushing!

I’ve spent £35 so far and am adding them to her milk throughout the day and no illnesses since... she didn’t do a full week in nursery for four months she was just always ill. But who knows if they work or not could be the change of season?? We are both on a full st of vitamins now I’ve bought mine from boots and take 6 tablets / capsules a day I do feel better for it I think.

We do on a normal day
Multi Vitamin 5ml
Colostrum and probiotic powder 1 teaspoon
Fatty acids 5ml
Vitamin C 5ml

On a sniffly - warm forehead day we do
First Defence 5ml
Echinacea 5ml
Vitamin C 5ml
Probiotic and colostrum powder 1 teaspoon

I’m about to buy their liquid calcium , prices range from £3.85 to £11 per bottle and there are free shipping codes which I have been emailed plus I think a 15% off at the moment...

Nofilter · 21/02/2018 13:58

I found a few YouTube videos from mums recommending them BTW I was searching for “vitamins and supplements, natural for toddlers” on YouTube and these seemed to stand out. They are American made in LA...
