Bought a bargain jumper in a charity shop for DS, and bought a mallow cone for DD whilst we were in town, but that's it. Quite impressed with myself for managing to spend a few hours in town and spend so little (under £1.50).

mamapants · 30/01/2018 11:59

NSD today.
Getting a bit tempted to buy bedding.
Just taken some for charity rag bag after getting a hole in it. But made myself count that we have four sets that are slightly scruffy and two sets that are just fine. So absolutely no need to get any.
Going to book holiday this week as well, deposit will be easy enough to pay. And then should have saved up plenty in time for the holiday.

PollyShelbyLifeCoachServices · 30/01/2018 12:11

NSD, back in the game😀 Ihave enjoyed not spending but also being more in control, i don't really want o spend when i have to now😃

mamapants · 30/01/2018 12:19

Just seen you can get RAC cover with tesco vouchers incase that's useful to anyone.
I need to sort some myself but I think I can be added on to DPs cover cheaper so need to check that first.

chickenowner · 30/01/2018 13:00

NSD!

I've been for a wander around a local art gallery but resisted the shop and cafe. I knew I had a bottle of water and some pretzels in my handbag. Grin

Also I'm going to repair my favourite fabric bag. It has a hole in it but I love the owl and deer pattern so don't want to throw it away. Hopefully my repair will work!

Back home now and have just had a phone call booking me for 2 days work next week (supply teacher) so it's all going well!

drspouse · 30/01/2018 14:49

I just spent 50p on a biscuit for charity and £2 on more snacks to go in my work snack drawer.
Don't think I need to spend anything else today.

MessySurfaces · 30/01/2018 19:22

NSD yesterday, yay! Did a tiny top up shop on my way home today with cash which was in my purse from December. Feeling super chuffed- I still have nearly £3 from the £15 I started the month with, so might take DD to a playgroup tomorrow, living the high life!
I checked our budgeting app, though, and it turns out that yesterday was the only really truly totally NSD this month for us as a household. Every other NSD of mine has a blinking direct debit coming out, or DH buying something. Gah!

MiltonBurnedTheBuildingDown · 30/01/2018 19:30

NSD today!
Tomorrow will be £3 for baby group, plus milk and coffee top up shop. Not the worst start to a NS Feb.

Gah81 · 30/01/2018 19:42

Grrr, today would have been a NSD had it not been for my forgetting to cancel a once-yearly direct debit (from PayPal, which didn't notify me - cheers! Though undoubtedly I should have taken responsibility for combing through PayPal in the same way I comb through my direct debits) which means £25 just left my account for something I no longer need!

Ah well, there is always tomorrow :)

PirateYellowbelly · 30/01/2018 22:46

Not a NSD. Forgot I had an evening meeting at work and needed food beforehand. Made the fatal mistake of food shopping when hungry. £20 later I did have food for dinner but also extra snacks and treats. Cross with myself now. Going out to dinner with a friend tomorrow so that won't be a NSD either. Need to get started again in Feb!

FaithEverPresent · 31/01/2018 16:25

Easily done Pirate! Live and learn.

I’m classing today as an NSD as I only went to buy something that was missing from my Tesco delivery yesterday. Still doing okay I think Smile

chickenowner · 31/01/2018 16:26

NSD!!

But then I haven't left the house...

PollyShelbyLifeCoachServices · 31/01/2018 16:35

Nsd, been at work which makes it easier....

elvislives2012 · 31/01/2018 18:24

Hurrah! NSD for me!

mamapants · 31/01/2018 18:28

Spent £8 today on juice and fruit top up.

drspouse · 31/01/2018 18:28

NSD, was going to buy something from the chemist but the pharmacist was out at lunch!

ivykaty44 · 31/01/2018 21:24

Finished the month with an NSD, yessss😁

PirateYellowbelly · 31/01/2018 23:14

Finished January feeling positive. Significantly less money spent during the month on eating out, quick coffees and impulse purchases. I've not bought any clothes, shoes, or bags and only non-food shopping has been a birthday present and card and some new uniform for my rapidly growing DS. Caught up with ourselves after excessive Christmas spending and saved about £200 too.

chickenowner · 01/02/2018 08:35

Well done everyone!!!

Now let's have a successful no spend February.

Smile
madamefraser · 01/02/2018 10:43

Well done ! Finished January with a NSD yesterday and tax bill wasn't as bad as expected !
Should we start a new thread for Feb ?

Littlechocola · 04/02/2018 17:17

Is there a feb thread?

FaithEverPresent · 05/02/2018 06:58
