What does it say in English?.

Try half a bag of soda crystals, turps is oil based isn't it?.

SunnyLikeThursday · 04/11/2017 10:36

I tried ordering the tight in large. They might stretch to be long instead of wide. :-)

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/11/2017 10:39

Aldi had some fleece lined leggings in yesterday when I was in. Probably not long enough in the leg though.

ememem84 · 04/11/2017 10:45

I’ve also got sheepskin type insoles for my riding boots. From Boots. They keep my toes nice and toasty in winter.

I’m after warm waterproof riding gloves. The lady in the shop here said it’s unheard of for riding gloves. The only ones she’s managed to find are the kind you’d wear for skiing. And these are too thick.

For the last few years I’ve worn skinny waterproof gloves with willy hand/wrist warmers (fingerless gloves) over the top. Not ideal but warm.

Ooo! Thanks for that. I had no idea that other people thought about this stuff too.

I have a 31" leg and am size 12 if that helps any. It's much easier to get 31" trousers now than it used to be. It was almost impossible when I was a teenager, and all my trousers looked at thought they were capris trousers.

SunnyLikeThursday · 04/11/2017 10:58

Em I used to wear thinsulate gloves under fleece windproof mittens. I'm not sure if that would work for horse riding but it was great for cycling in sub-zero temperatures.

100yearsdotcom · 04/11/2017 11:20

Love the title thanks lonely. Just checking in before catching up x

Cagliostro · 04/11/2017 11:53

Cool tattoos!

I'm trying to work out where to spend my love2shop voucher (from a survey last week). It says you can spend it on restaurants which I thought might be nice, but can't find a list anywhere despite registering card as it said you can then get an up to date list Hmm

Your city is lovely sunny, I’ve wandered round all morning looking at all the colleges and architecture, you are very lucky. It’s very busy though, I expect that might keep you away at certain times, well it does me with York anyway.

DD is having a fab time, her first lecture was about the archeology of graves and their chemical composition etc!

I’ve only been in a shop to buy the presents I require, I might not come over this way always but I prefer to wander.

needastrongone · 04/11/2017 13:22

A tattoo, wow mammy, was this your first?

needastrongone · 04/11/2017 13:24

We’ve never found waterproof riding gloves em, your best best for riding might be thin leather. It’s just one of those things I think.

needastrongone · 04/11/2017 13:33

I am going to wander round the market now and will probably buy olives.Smile

That sounds like just the job need. Cambridge is tiny and nice to look at, and most people just potter around looking at it. It feels a little bit like a 14th century Disneyland to me sometimes as it's all a little bit other-worldly.

If you pass Great St Mary's Church in the market square, they sometimes have the tower open so you can go right to the top and see the whole city from above.

St Michael's church on Trinity Street is lovely for a cuppa too. It has a nice little medieval chapel and an old leper chapel, behind a beautiful modern glass partition.

Did you see King's Chapel? You get in there by going straight fro the front door of Great St Mary's on the market place and bearing right down a little alleyway in front of you to the right of the big white senate building. At the bottom of the alley you just follow round to the left and the chapel door is right in front of you. If you only see one thing here, that's the thing to see.

My ds just came home from town with a Wilko Blox set, which is a kind of knock-off lego. Normally I don't do knock-off lego, but this stuff works fine and is much much cheaper. Quite tempted by the stuff for Christmas, if I'm honest.

I nicked dh’s cycling gloves before I went out today. They were quite warm. Yay. So may have a look for some of those.

Quiet afternoon here I think. Dh is napping - I think last nights dinner out took its toll on him. Ds is wigglin about on his sheepskin and yelling “aaaay” occasionally and smiling at me when I give him attention. And I’m pottering about trying to get the house tidy. It was tidy yesterday. Dh has been off work for one day...:

SnugglySnerd · 04/11/2017 15:22

Afternoon all. Just checking in. NSD here. Been pottering doing jobs and playing with the dcs.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/11/2017 16:36

Glad you are enjoying Cambridge Need i've never been but imagine it would be lovely. They do some thermal leggings in Primark, bought some last year and thermal tops I think, really warm.

Cool tattoos, I am such a wimp would never be brave enough to get one!!

We have had a nice morning, dd went riding and then we met some friends for coffee in town.

Spent £5.50 on sandwiches for lunch and £13 in Poundland, picked up some Christmas bits and pieces as well as food.

Have been tidying up the garden this afternoon, looks much better now and am guessing won't need much more doing to it now until the spring.

WreckTangled · 04/11/2017 17:09

Sausage and butter bean casserole for before the fireworks. Yum!

Cagliostro · 04/11/2017 17:11

Oooh yum. I need to make something like that.

My mum wants to buy me a soup maker! Yay! She has one and it's amazing.

WreckTangled · 04/11/2017 17:16

It’s the hairy bikers one and is amazing. Everyone is eating it without moaning Shock

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/11/2017 17:59

I have just eaten the worlds unhealthiest tea of pizza and bacon Blush dds was slightly better as she had hers with corn on the cob and avocado!

Debating going to the fireworks later, feels like a lot of effort at the moment but know will enjoy it if we go....

Loveabaconsandwich · 04/11/2017 18:46

Spendy day

£100 on two new car seats for DD2. They are more similar seats to what her sister sits in and less ‘baby’ seat like. Wish she would stay in the old seat for another year, but refusal to get in and taking arms out the straps makes it unsafe. The new one is age suitable now. Was worried we were going to struggle as she is only 12kg. Awaiting delivery as they had none in store

£15 sainsburys on tights and what I forgot to buy yesterday

Not done much else today. Hope everyone has a good Saturday, especially those heading out to fireworks 🎉

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/11/2017 18:54

£2.55 ham & bread.
