Feet always horrible and bashed due to running, that colour covered 2 black toe nails and a bruise!

Laska5772 · 21/09/2017 19:28

great colour need Rougenoir? its one of my favourites . Ionly ever do my toes as I have silly little fan shaped fingernails ( like a childs) ..toe are currently corally red , but I think i need to go to a more autumn colour now..

I really need to sort my clothese out and put the summer ones away now. I'm in that in-between stage of doing it and my bedroom looks like a bomb has hit it . The trouble is I need to just do that and nothing else for an afternoon as want to pack away stuff for charity shop . Im probably not going to need my summer workwear again, but wont get rid of it yet .

Just made Rick Steins Beef Rendang for tomorrow evening but with oxtail as there was some nice looking ones on Sainsburys butchery counter reduced.. its simmering away very slowly and smelling wonderful!

I bought a pair of dark blue denim jeggings in Tu 25% but thats all .
but spent about £80 all told in Sainsburys somehow.. mostly store cupboard things , household cleaning stuff and toiletries.. I did buy some Feverfew light ginger beer as I want to give up Wine for a few weeks

Dreams of walk-in wardrobe.. my friend has one and she and her DH share it and there is still space! she obviously doesnt need one

Laska5772 · 21/09/2017 19:39

Quiet here this evening.. have you all left because of my swearing? or is there something good on telly?

ememem84 · 21/09/2017 19:47

I'd love a Walk in wardrobe. That's my dream.

I have no idea what's on tv. Dh is watching something about lambing.

WreckTangled · 21/09/2017 19:48

I'm lying in bed with ds willing him to sleep.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/09/2017 19:52

Call that swearing laska. Pft amateurs.

Nsd as it rained at lunch so didn't wash out and sacked off the gym. I know I should go but work is so full on I cba. It's a vicious cycle I will break on Saturday morning.

Defo pass it up the line wreck. In writing too.

Ltb laska

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/09/2017 19:53

Nice work getting the room ready emdm.

needastrongone · 21/09/2017 20:04

Whispers that we have a walk in wardrobe, just beautifully fitted out. In a quieter voice still, I have pull out shoe drawers.....Smile

Just waiting for DD, at school. Looks all amazingly well organised. School is always over subscribed anyway. She helped out in the History dept.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2017 20:07

I wouldn't do anything you can be sacked for wreck, pass it along.

Every word in this house is cunt or fucking. Dh is motor trade & swears constantly. I'm used to it. Always glad the cat can't talk "that black & white cats a right cunt, I'm going to fuck him up if I find him under one of the cars again".

I bought Demi-sec cava. It's awful. Truly awful.

Em Have you chosen a post birth drink?. Surely you deserve a bottle of cloudy bay?

FuzzyCustard · 21/09/2017 20:09

May I join you please Frugaleers? We're quite skint -I've just been made redundant again (second time in 2 years) and my DH can't work through illness. But we're good at being frugal and live in a beautiful part of the country so getting out and about is free and fab for us.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2017 20:13

Welcome Fuzzy, I'm so sorry you were made redundant. Did you get a payout to tide you over?. Would you like my list of saved money saving threads?.

We live in the Midlands, it's so dull I can barely be bothered to go out these days.

WreckTangled · 21/09/2017 20:17

Welcome fuzzy

Just realised I didn't explain my work thing well at all! It's a tricky situation so my manager has suggested I phone top person for advice as she wasn't sure. Manager is obviously really busy so I'm happy to phone this person and see what she says then discuss it with my manager again.

Laska5772 · 21/09/2017 20:19

Envy Need Actually I'd like a whole room for my stuff.. and another one just for me to do my stuff in.. I do have a room I do stuff in, but its a guest bedroom also .

What id like is my own room i can set up with a large table, desk shelves sofa etc so I can get out my stuff (like sewing machine etc) and leave it all out.. .

Or better still, a chalet down the end of the garden just for me,.. all insulated with wifi and with a woodburner and a veranda and a fridge ,a loo and a bed.Grin . I could I suppose if I wasnt going to buy a motorhome..

Shoe Drawers .. Hmm. i might need those too. just call me Imelda

FuzzyCustard · 21/09/2017 20:23

Thank you for the welcome. Re redundancy: I think I'll get an extra £200 payout! So not a lot. I do get carers allowance (a massive £250 a month (ish)) but fortunately don't have a mortgage or rent and have some savings.

fluffy thank you, I'd love your money saving threads please.

Laska5772 · 21/09/2017 20:30

Welcome *Fuzzy.. sorry to hear youve been made redundant
lots of good support here ..

I expect you know all of this but meal planning. using money saving sites and checking your utilities are all good starts.

Lots of different financial situations here , but we are good at frugalling and chatting ! Smile

I am still working F/T and since paying off debts with the help of YNAB and advice here have been doing quite well recently so have more to spend , but am looking at retirement pretty soon now , lots to think of and big ££££ changes !

FuzzyCustard · 21/09/2017 20:36

We've discovered Lidl recently and split our shopping between there and Morrison's, which are fortunately very close to each other. It gives us the option of choosing the cheapest/best products from each shop. And the cats won't eat Lidl food!

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/09/2017 20:40

Welcome fuzzy

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2017 21:00

Fuzzy

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/credit_crunch/2270347-Frugal-January-everyone-welcome The chat links are dead. They're long threads so get comfy.

Have you looked at the matched betting threads in the money section?.

ChristmasSeacow · 21/09/2017 21:22

Trousers arrived safely Life, thank you so very much! I keep stroking them. FlowersStar. It really was immensely kind of you.

DD has been hysterical this afternoon trying to take her milk, doctors again tomorrow if I can get appt. DH is off work so I can sort DS's birthday cake and party stuff and so we can all hang out after school. Should be good.

Tonight I am piping features on 36 gingerbread men for DS's class. Feel a bit bad not to be doing a party for the class as that seems to be quite common in the early years but DS doesn't cope with parties. So class gingerbread men it is. I bought some gluten free cake things in case any of the kids can't have them.

Lonely your extra slice comment made me laugh. I bet it wasn't that bad!

ChristmasSeacow · 21/09/2017 21:25

I cross posted with a few of you so will have a read back. Welcome Fuzzy!

Loveabaconsandwich · 21/09/2017 21:40

Welcome fuzzy . Sorry to hear about the redundancy. Good you don't need to factor in rent or mortgage though. Do you have the patience for online surveys? They are dull though.

So the leggings are becoming more appealing now em Wink ?

Looks like me reducing from three working days to two will get agreed as my boss seems to be ok with it. He just needs to check my job share person (who is on mat leave) isn't going to put in a change of hours too Smile

ememem84 · 21/09/2017 21:41

Hey fuzzy

fluffy we were talking about that this evening. In our fridge we currently have a cloudy bay and a mount Riley. Mmm. There's also one of the last of our wedding champagnes. And a bottle of Hendricks. Gin

In the wine box I've also got a lovely Malbec. So the choice is mine. Really depends what our first "family meal" is at home I suppose.

Although Hendricks, cucumber, icy cold tonic would go down a treat right now!!!!

ememem84 · 21/09/2017 21:42

love oh leggings are the new black. I may never wear structured clothes again.
