The TU sale! Finally! And thanks for letting me know lifelong

Woohoo well done Em!

£2 on ice cream as DS was gutted about not going on the bouncy castle because it was full of bigger children being rough with each other. DS is still pretty small and unfortunately he still managed to have a nasty fall on the way back to the car Sad plus he has a nasty cold coming.

We'll probably need a calpol, tissue & olbas oil top up this week.

Suppose I should start getting the house ready for autumn / winter. Draught excluders, heavy curtains, thicker bedding etc.

Cagliostro · 17/09/2017 15:56

Scandi breakfast sounds amazing 😍

I got some yummy things from Morrisons after the caglets' races, I am totally full of brain fog (I gather that's normal when cutting out lots of carbs suddenly) so it took ages to think but I have naice cheeses and deli meats etc which hopefully will be ok. Naked bacon cheeseburger was lovely in the cafe and I didn't miss the bun or fries at all.

I did just cave and have about 250ml Diet Coke though. Try not to have sweeteners but was nearly in tears with exhaustion 😳😳😳 and had another hour to wait for the bus home

WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 16:18

Cag I wouldn't worry about sweeteners. If I want a drink that isn't water then it'll have to have sweeteners in otherwise I can't have it. Afaik there's no problem with them in moderation.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/09/2017 16:33

According to reasties thread yes it is
Don't worry cag. A small diet Coke will be ok.

thewaitresses · 17/09/2017 17:01

Help!!! My slow cooked brisket is as tough as old boots - over cooked? undercooked? I've chopped it up and currently cooking it in stew on the hob - dinner was supposed to be at 5pm Shock

thewaitresses · 17/09/2017 17:07

Just served the kids fishfingers with all the (roast dinner) trimmings Blush

WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 17:08

Oh no waitress! I'm sure they didn't mind.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/09/2017 17:08

I'm getting Dh brushed cotton Jammies in the tu sale. There will be one in October too so get going with the e-reward surveys.

Love It's probably guarantees potty training success if you buy nappies. When she's dry you can always donate to a women's refuge.

Em Stop winging it & do it properly Grin Baby boy needs stuff & it's a good way of paying for it iyswim.

£1 trial subscription to the radio times. I selected a start date of early December to get the Xmas issue. I get £3 cashback off Kidstart. I just need to diarise a cancel date. They may pull the offer soon so I got in there.
£6 soya milk, pitta bread, big bags of spices & a lemon in sainsbos.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/09/2017 17:13

Cooked too quickly & too high Waitress Sad

thewaitresses · 17/09/2017 17:16

Oh bugger - so cooking it more won't help?!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/09/2017 17:20

It should help. I do brisket in the sc.

thewaitresses · 17/09/2017 17:24

Every other time I've done SC but this time in a casserole. I blame you Jamie Oliver promising me lots of lovely leftovers. We're currently making cheesy leeks - think it might be a veggie roast!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 17/09/2017 18:01

Back from the race. Was good. We have finished for the year! Thank goodness. Snap of set up ready for influx, 1/3 stuff out, I refill as more come back, if you put it all out the first 20 guys eat it all!

Just bought milk etc for today, under £10. So tired but have work due back tomorrow still to do.

Snap girlie and em me as well. I know it's one of the most popular names now, but you don't often come across other grown ups!

WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 18:14

We had soup and cheese toasties for dinner. Everyone complained that the soup was too spicy. Meh. Dh in a foul mood because the dc have been testing today.... I'm watching blaze with ds and WreckCat

Laska5772 · 17/09/2017 18:32

Soup here as mentioned above it looks quite green but tastes yum..
Impressive spread Lonely

ChristmasSeacow · 17/09/2017 18:50

Lonely and Girlie you have both blown my mind a bit. That's not what I imagined your names to be at all. Somehow I am less surprised re. Em Wink.

Cakes etc looks great Lonely

I have been bad and spent lots of money on new cushions in the M&S 20% off event. The ones in our play room are about 16 years old and flat as pancakes so I am looking forward to sinking my poor wrecked back into those bad boys. But it's a huge sofa so 8 cushions... £££ Shock

Also bought something that might be genius or might be too naff for words - a fake flower hanging basket for the front of the house. It gets loads of sun so I kill several a year by not watering daily (when I forget / go away /whatever). I chose something that is more foliage and not too bright so it doesn't look stupid in winter. We'll see...

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/09/2017 18:56

Looks nice lonely. I have another Lakeland voucher of you want it. Couldn't get my cake tins so ended up getting them from sainsbury.

CollieBobs · 17/09/2017 19:08

Laska5772 · 17/09/2017 19:15

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/09/2017 19:20

I'm not an em.
However I do have a name that can be spelt multiple ways and mine is the one no one does.

WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 19:21

I'm not an em or a laska. I hate my first name so I'm not telling any of yous.

Laska5772 · 17/09/2017 19:24

no one ever spells the shortened version of my name correctly either ,.

WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 19:33

Same laska. My mum decided to spell it the way no one else does.

CollieBobs · 17/09/2017 19:50

Me too! My name is mostly vowels Hebrew shebrew

I'm getting a bit fed up of QuidCo. Does anyone feel the same or prefer topcashback? I've never used Topcashback.
