Em loving the name idea :o one of our friends has a DD called Winter, or Winnie :) cute!

I was proactive last night and phoned the lady who wrote the novel I typed/edited a couple of years ago. Had a lovely chat. She's working on the sequel so shouldn't be long now before she sends me some which is great. Amazing lady, she is currently sporting a broken rib from a boating accident, she sails regularly - she's 80!

DH taking Caglets to the science museum today because the Robots exhibition will be closing soon, I'm staying home as I'm pretty tired and may as well save the money. I'll nip into town though as hopefully Boots should have DD's tablets in. Will be quite nice having a day to myself!

Also did someone say a while ago they were doing a run on September 17th? Unlikely but it's not Reigate (Surrey) is it? DH is doing that and the Caglets are doing their first official run of a mile.

Spent £200 yesterday on Go Ape but friends will be paying me back for that. Need to book Pizza Hut for after, bit worried they'll say no as there's too many of us! Happy that my little dude has lots of friends who want to share his birthday with him though. The kid who had no friends in school is very sociable now :)

love a samsung tab A 10" screen. I have a tab S just now, and it's been brilliant for 2 years until I dropped it and broke the frame the on/off button sits in. So it literally won't stay on now. £185.

My ds is 5 and is desperate for Lego dimensions. Has anyone played with this? Will it be suitable for Christmas do you think? He watches a lot of you tube videos (I quite like Dan tdm) and has seen it on there.

£7 for two breakfast baguettes - bacon and scrambled egg for me and sausage and bacon for dsis. They were huge. Yummm.

Then £2.18 in pet shop for more mousies for catface. I swear she's eating them.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/08/2017 16:39

Lonely how have you never been to Subway before?! Grin its dd favourite place to eat!! Dd tried the lace ups but couldn't find a pair she found comfortable Hmm I hate school shoe shopping - so stressful!

Em Grin Winters coming!! Brilliant.

I have been working all day, very busy and now worn out.

Managed a NSD.

ememem84 · 26/08/2017 16:55

Dh isn't keen on winter. But then he wasn't keen on getting a cat I'll work on him

Currently sorting things out. The midwife on Tuesday said that if things started to happen now they wouldn't stop the boy arriving. So this has spurred me on to pack a bag. Or at least get a bag and put maternity pads in it I'll work on it

I've packed away clothes - mine. Left in the clean washing basket for the last week. And am going to eBay some of my maternity stuff. I bought too much.

I'm also sending back a pair of beautiful Chelsea boots I bought from joules in the sale. The lovely tan ones with the bronze backs. I've tried them on finally and they are tight. So back they go. £74 on my card once the refund hits. Yay. Dh tried to persuade me to keep them as I do love them, and it probably is because of the heat and my preggo feet. But don't want to risk it. I can always rebuy in the right size.

So glad I won't be pregnant through the winter. To try on said boots dh had to help me put socks on. No way I'd go through that every day...!

Cagliostro · 26/08/2017 17:52

Did you have a name set before though em? I seem to remember saying you'd come up with something for both sexes but wondered if you'd changed. We have decided the first name and one middle name, but DS has two middle names so this one will too (and DD is going to reregister and choose an extra middle name too we were supposed to reregister after getting married when she was 17 months :o)

ememem84 · 26/08/2017 18:04

cag yes we've got a name in mind. One we really like. After both my grandads. A proper traditional name.

It baby had been a girl we'd have caed her after our grandmas. Who coincidentally had the same first name.

Cagliostro · 26/08/2017 18:15

Aww that's lovely! Thanks

ememem84 · 26/08/2017 18:25

Dh has made veggie chili for dinner. And is making flatbreads. Mmm. although I misheard and thought he said flapjacks
He's so good. He's still in his boxers and a tshirt hasn't left the house today or showered but he's cooked up essentially everything in fridge, has filled freezer and had cleaned both bathrooms. Yippee.

I've been out gallivanting and have had a nap. And am now enjoying a nice french non alcoholic lemon beer.

WreckTangled · 26/08/2017 18:29

We're home. Had a great day, arrived with £6 and left won £10. Got free burger, chips and beer plus soft drinks for the dc.

Laska5772 · 26/08/2017 18:47

Nice glass of Chablis .. Life is good Grin

SunnyLikeThursday · 26/08/2017 18:54

We've had a nice sunny day here for the first time in a long time. It's good to be out in the garden again.

ememem84 · 26/08/2017 18:57

laksa that looks lovely but I wouldn't eat it - olives - bleurgh!

Love the sound of sea bass though. Mmmm.

This was dinner.

Looking forward to a nice chilled out evening and another nice chill day tomorrow.

mammymammyIRL · 26/08/2017 19:49

Em my dinner was yummy & those seeded baps from Dunnes were divine but now I've dinner envy Envy

Very happy with today on the go from 9am until 5.15pm & bought no 'on the go' food or drinks Smile

Cag well remembered I'm doing run on sept 17th but it's in ireland Smile brilliant news about your ds & his many friends

Wreck lovely day out, rides last week at a local festival were €3 each Shock

Also shocked at lonely not having had subway before, they do a good kids deal, we've had a lunchbag before that's still going strong

I've got to make plum jam tomo, I let last tub go mouldy on our holiday week Blush it's our own plum tree but it's still waste

Laska that looks lovely I don't like olives either but would substitute slivers of red peppers happily or sundries tomatoes.

The Friendly Frugaleers, watching the pennies as we wait for sunshine!
mammymammyIRL · 26/08/2017 19:49

Em could I possibly have your dh's flatbread recipe they look yum Smile

ememem84 · 26/08/2017 19:51

mammy that burger though.....mmmmmmmmmmmm

We're now watching the women's rugby final. It's awesome the sudden high profile of women's sport on tv. Yay the women's!

ememem84 · 26/08/2017 19:52

Flatbread

Flour, oil, water, baking powder. Apparently he just winged it. No measuring. helpful I saw about a teaspoon of baking powder go in.

100yearsdotcom · 26/08/2017 20:03

Glad everyone has been enjoying their bank holiday weekends so far! I've unfortunately been chained to my desk helping someone out with a benefits appeal so I'm hoping for the same weather tomorrow so I can get out in the garden with DD. Yesterday spends were £64 weekly shop and today £9.49 Xmas shopping. Hoping for NSD tomorrow and Monday! To those of you who do surveys, how much time do you have to spend doing them to get a decent return?

WreckTangled · 26/08/2017 20:06

Em that looks so good!

I've only ever had one subway about 11 years ago

My legs hurt. They feel as though they weigh about ten stone each and they're throbbing. It's the heat.

We might have the opportunity to swap to a 3 bedroom house. I wouldn't hesitate but the thought of making the dc move schools makes me feel sick.

mammymammyIRL · 26/08/2017 20:38

Em I'd marinated chicken fillet burger in my head but we had chicken last two evenings so figured steak burgers instead. Nicely full now though

Wreck what a pity after your lovely day out, tough decision regarding house

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/08/2017 20:50

Before I met Dh I had a subway salad box & it had ginger pubes in it. I was so disgusted & embarrassed I put it in the bin rather than complain. Now I'd March round there & kick off but I was really ashamed I'd unwittingly eaten them. Not eaten there since.

£1 cake for Dh, £23 matched betting profit.
