Any luck with the medication for DD seacow?

needastrongone · 21/08/2017 06:52

So, DH has got up, got ready and gone to work.

I've emptied dishwasher, swapped washing over, got stuff out for dinner, updated finances, sorted chickens and dogs, washed up. Checked emails.

We both go to work at same time.

Not just you em😡😡😡😡

needastrongone · 21/08/2017 06:53

And messaged the DC their chores list😂

ememem84 · 21/08/2017 06:58

Eugh. Did not sleep well at all. Catface is freaked by the baby stuff in the living room, so wouldn't settle. I was too hot then too cold. Then couldn't breathe as nose is stuffy. Then had some wicked crazy dreams. Eugh.

Back to work today. 19 work days left. This year. That's it.

Should be nsd. This week I need to return some shoes to dune - they're my size but are punchy so no point keeping them. Also noticed I'd bought some baby sleepsuits in size 24-36 months in mothercare over a month ago. Oops. I'm hoping they'll exchange them. I've got the reciept so will ask.

Payday today. Woooooohoooooooo!!!!!!!!

Other jobs - must make a shopping list.

needastrongone · 21/08/2017 07:39

loney - how did the race go?

laska, I had the same experience with Amitriptiline, discuss Gabapentin with your GP.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/08/2017 07:45

Em have you tried a big dollop of Vaseline/petroleum jelly on the pinchy areas? It's easy to wipe off if their still pinching.

thewaitresses · 21/08/2017 07:49

Hello all, trying to keep up but not posting much, however have been up since 4.30am so doing some catching up (anyone else's babies/children get really unsettled in the holidays as out of routine? 😴)

Cag I usually use Aldi nappies, which are great all-rounders. Tesco nappies are fine and I've even regularly used the Tesco value ones. They are perfectly functional just very plain!

Need I'd also be interested in any Fitbit thoughts as thinking of getting one for dh.

Also if anyone can help with some caravan questions....hoping to take a short break next Easter, Easter weekend works best for us so we'll already be paying a premium so want to get best value overall.

  1. park recommendations probably in Dorset, Devon, Somerset or South Wales.
  2. how do travel cots fit in? If travel cots end up having to be in the sitting room would we be better off not paying for an extra bedroom?
  3. could I wait for a sun holidays promo? When do they happen and are there big savings to be made?

Thanks frugaleers!

ememem84 · 21/08/2017 07:54

fluffy no I haven't... I'll remember that for next time. If I'm honest I bought the shoes when I was having a moment so maybe not the best time to buy. Also I'm wondering if my feet have grown a bit. Will wait until apres baby to buy shoes. It'll be £51 back on my credit card too so it's probably better.

My old shoes can cope with another 19 days of work.

WreckTangled · 21/08/2017 08:04

I've got the dentist today. Yuck. Have to be brave for the dc.

Then my bed is being delivered!!

Later ds has swimming lessons. So will be spendy.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/08/2017 08:05

Last day of holiday today.

Sorry don't know about caravans.
Am reading just not posting much.

ememem84 · 21/08/2017 08:11

Good luck wreck you can do this!!!!

Taken a pizza out of the freezer for dinner. Not the healthiest but it's Monday. Neither of us can be arsed to shop today.

Checked bank account and everything looks good. Hooray! From now the saving ramps up. No unnecessary spends (except lunch today because I'm lazy tired and it's Monday).

Also must get parking tickets today.

Worked out we'll save approx £900 when I'm on leave by not parking the car every day in town. Dh has said he'll cycle in unless we (me and boy) need to go anywhere early doors.

Loveabaconsandwich · 21/08/2017 08:16

Just quickly logging on to wish meadow good luck in her new job today StarFlowers

Cagliostro · 21/08/2017 08:40

Good luck wreck I hate dentists. Must go while I'm getting it free but am scared! And embarrassed.

It's weird how even feet change shape in pregnancy. Optician said your prescription can change as well so no point getting eye tests.

Just to rock the boat, I don't especially like autumn. I struggle with less sunlight and I'm especially nervous this year as PND is pretty much inevitable for me. Hopefully I am prepared for it though.

I do enjoy the Autumn but feel like summer never really got going this year Sad also the last day of my annual leave today so another Sad face!!

Today will be spendy as going to get dds secondary uniform sorted plus hopefully finally sort her a phone out.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/08/2017 10:16

Need have inboxed you re a pony related query!! Smile

ememem84 · 21/08/2017 10:17

Am hoping for one of those lovely Indian summers....starting once baby boy is here....!!

29 degrees here tomorrow apparently. Oooooof hot.

ememem84 · 21/08/2017 10:18

I'd read that cag I need to do an eye test but felt no point until after. Have a list of appointments for when I'm on leave. Sigh.

WreckTangled · 21/08/2017 11:04

£20.50 dentist. All ok phew. Hate the cleaning though.

ememem84 · 21/08/2017 11:37

wreck Eugh the teeth cleaning. It always makes me feel all weird. Strangely I get like a vibrating feeling in my head and my tummy. Sort of like when you're about to do a huge sneeze.

Same as when I get my eyebrows threaded. Very bizarre sensation.

Glad all ok though. Phew! And not too pricey!

I'm back at work at present. Sigh. It's quiet. Too quiet. I've read through all 200 + emails received thurs and fri and now actually have to do work!!!! Aaaah

Loveabaconsandwich · 21/08/2017 11:47

Rang the AA to cancel our policy. Shockingly they then managed to reduce my price by £40 and to freeze the price for the following year too. This bugs me so much that you have to go through the pretence of leaving to get a better price Angry . But I couldn't be bothered to start a new policy elsewhere to make a point so signed back up Hmm

100yearsdotcom · 21/08/2017 12:15

Been reading but not able to post as clingy baby due to reflux and teething.

Yes to bath seat for baby, although I initially bathed DD in the bathroom sink! She didn't stay small enough for that for very long though. But with my disabilities the bath seat has been the best thing as I tend to get in with her but can be safe.

Gender stereotyping gives me the rage! We've had lots of pink forced on us, and a fair amount of 'princess' talk, but I'm quite fierce and into trains, scientific reasoning, etc as well as being a very emotional type of person, and dh is a feminist like me so she will get a good balance of experience at home and will always know from us that she is able to do and be whatever she wants to. We've ended up buying 'boys' clothes for her at points cos the monster/dinosaur/space designs were all in the boys bit but she looks brilliant in them!

100yearsdotcom · 21/08/2017 12:23

Not sure if I came across wrong there but I know what I mean!!!

Also aldi nappies are excellent and saving us a fortune! We found pampers to be very poor but haven't bothered trying any others except naty when she was newborn and they were atrocious.

Lansinoh is the best thing ever and was one thing I was not prepared to risk scrimping on - boobs are too important! Id also recommend nipple shields if you're trying breastfeeding out - everyone will tell you not to use them as it'll affect supply but they were the best few quid I spent in the early days as I would use them every other feed after my milk came in to give my nips a rest and I found they helped DD to latch better as I have always had a really fast letdown and oversupply so it just gave her a bit of a chance.

Good luck meadow Btw! Hope your first day isn't too overwhelming! X

SnugglySnerd · 21/08/2017 12:54

Yes good luck Meadow!

Yes I agree Aldi nappies are great and very cheap. Asda ones also excellent and often on offer.

HollyTheHarrier · 21/08/2017 13:14

Good luck Meadow you'll be great

I've been busy busy with work and new house stuff and attempting to get my garden under control. Finally purchased a lawnmower and now it's far too wet to use it 🙄

I had quite a spendy weekend. £5 on swimming (which seems like a total bargain, I'm sure it cost me more than that 10 years ago back home). About £10 on a top up shop as I won't need a delivery this week. £150 or so on that lawnmower, extension cable and circuit breaker. £50 filling up on petrol, £14 lunch for me and a friend on our bike ride, and the cafe had the most beautiful nature photography so I bought a cute little print of a mouse for £30. So worth it though. But eek that adds up to a lot. And today I ordered some blinds - another £300! Half price though so I count that as a minor frugaleering tick.

Claimed £2 back from Ocado as my apples were damaged.

bacon I do that every year with the aa. One good thing - this year I forgot to ring up and it auto renewed, but when I finally did phone they knocked the price right down and refunded, even though it was too late for me to be entitled to cancel. So although I agree about the stupid rigmarole they do have decent service.

Enjoying reading talk of babies even though I can't contribute much. So cute 😍 Especially when you can hand them back...

WreckTangled · 21/08/2017 13:15

Good luck meadow!

It's chilly today and the dc are being annoying because we have to stay in waiting for the delivery.

I think I should put the chicken in the oven, today seems a good day for roast chicken Smile
