Also totally feeling the kilner jar dream. Maybe when we move... maybe...

FridgeCut · 24/07/2017 14:48

Wreck - I was worried I'd then get a charge as my order was only £40.30 with the milk and would have been £36 without it and I thought I might then get stung the under £40 charge, but I don't know if I would have. The delivery guy did offer to take it back.

I shhouted at a car full of blokes, smoking in a baby space, no baby and then opened the window and chucked rubbish out. I told them they were shameful scumbags. They were so embarrassed they left.

ememem84 · 24/07/2017 15:27

£6.20 ice creams for dsis bil and me. Dm paid for lunch.

Now home and am thinking about maybe having a nap.

Dh made me promise not to watch game of thrones until he gets home. I'm pretty sure he's taken the now tv control with him so I can't access it. he knew I'd try to sneak a watch

Cagliostro · 24/07/2017 15:35

I don't think they would do the charge in that case, surely if you had smashed eggs or something they wouldn't charge delivery for going under £40 but it's an interesting question! And good for you telling those losers off, I am far too wimpy for that.

So now I see where my money goes... £60ish today!!! £11 mcdonalds for lunch before shopping, taxi home from Asda £7 and £42 in Asda itself! Didn't even get the baby stuff I planned to! £20 was home stuff - weekly planner whiteboard, water bottles and quaddie lunchboxes for the kids, kitchen roll and scourers. Can't believe £22 was on food, feel like I got sod all for that.

FridgeCut · 24/07/2017 15:45

I has W with me and he did ask me what Scummy meant. I just was livid at them dumping their cigarette packet wrapping out of their window at me.

At least I won't run out of soya over the summer holidays!

We did nip into the store to get two cans of shaving foam for marbling (50p each) and some apples as W wants to see how the apple segmenter works and I forgot.

I just spent £20 on presents on amazon and baby wipes and then £7.98 on 72 woven name labels for unform. I am terribly mean and have used every space available on the name tape. "DS1 SURNAME DS2" with lots of spaces. I will fold under the appropriate name and sew it so only one child's name shows. Though there won't be another kid with either of their first names and as there are 150 of us in the country with our surname definitely no one with the same surname. I am thrifty :)

SnugglySnerd · 24/07/2017 15:50

I've had a lovely quiet day. I needed that. The babies are getting a bit grumble now. I'm hoping they'll nap.

Just bought milk and butter no other spends.

Those courgettes look amazing!

I have no inspiration for dinner I just can't be bothered.... I need to find three choices to put on the lease car thing as well. They all need to be under 100g/km on the emissions too.

Also need to sort the dc's leaving cards etc for tomorrow for their teachers.

Cagliostro · 24/07/2017 17:13

I am having salad stuff with baguette and goats cheese (toasted for me since you apparently aren't supposed to have it uncooked in pregnancy?!). That's only because we went to Asda though, Tesco don't do proper baguettes for delivery Angry :( so if I'm in a real supermarket I tend to grab the opportunity!

ememem84 · 24/07/2017 17:23

Veggie lasagne for dinner tonight. Have just spent £23 in Waitrose on veggies for lasagne, roses (independent woman here buys her own flowers!!) and fruits for fruit pots for lunches/snacks.

Kelsar · 24/07/2017 17:40

Chicken kebabs from freezer

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 24/07/2017 17:48

Em Grin at your previous neighbours!! Annoying re current ones, I hate noisy neighbours, it stresses me right out!!

Had a busy day at work, dd seems to have survived her first day at tennis camp and seems happy enough to go back tomorrow! Got a Morrisons shop coming tonight £47.

I seem to have managed to get towards the end of the month with some money still in the bank Shock no idea how that happened!

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/07/2017 18:23

Always a bonus to have money left at the end of the month girlie

Had to cancel DD1s day at sports camp tomorrow due to pox. Luckily the person running it has asked us if we want to book another day instead which was unexpected and nice. Although I guess he appreciates that we haven't tried to send a poorly six year old in as I bet other people do!

NSD Halo

You are very brave fridge , I would have just quietly cursed them

Grin about DH hiding the now tv remote em . And Shock about the fruit collecting thing.

ememem84 · 24/07/2017 18:33

love I'm sure I hope he was only joking... he's hilarious I'm all up for blackberrying but think I'll be sending other people into the brambles for me. I'll make the jam. I like making jam.

Turns out he hadn't taken the control. It was wedged into the couch.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/07/2017 18:40

Fridge I wouldn't dare either!

Laska Not well due to lack of time. If I get a half day I can crack on with it but after a day like today I'm all done with anything more demanding than breathing in & out.

Need Did she get it?.

£7 top up shop, I'm giving lidl cava a try.

Did a few surveys, frantically saving nectar points for the next 25% tu event in mid August.

Laska5772 · 24/07/2017 18:41

Ive just made another 4 pots of courgette pickle so up to date with glut now . Am eating something WITHOUT courgette for dinner for a change . Tuna and cheese toasts! (with salsa). Yum.

it is 2 months notice.. I have written resignation letter but not handed it in yet..(its still in desk) and yes my leg hurts!!

LonelyOversharer · 24/07/2017 18:56

Sausages and yorkies for tea here. Cubed chips (do they have a name? Squares of potato par boiled then deep fried), with veg, mange-tout from the garden, and about 50 peas in all! Plus some of the courgettes. It has been decided by me that the dd's like and eat courgettes. This is news to them.

Family motto: You get what you get, and you don't get upset.

Off out (I have cabin fever can you tell) as dp has a meeting, so will take the kids to the park.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/07/2017 19:10

Sauteed potato? Maybe? Dunno lonely

£84 on sainsbury and £27 in Aldi. Dh didn't get meals though so no idea what we are eating

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/07/2017 19:18

Love sautéed potatoes. Beef dripping chips are the dogs though horse fats meant to be the best ever

I got no choice when I was little. Then we got four cats & she'd give them a choice. I bet they wouldn't have choked down shallow fried pressed cods roe.

Lidl cava 👍

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/07/2017 19:22

I joined nectar canvass the other day after you mentioned it fluffy . Looks just like VO. But I like the fact that you get a couple of points if you get screened out and the points are going across quite promptly rather than having to make £10

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/07/2017 19:26

You can join your dp too. Mines got all the same accounts/reward cards as me.

He doesn't know about any of them really.

Cagliostro · 24/07/2017 19:33

I thought parmentier potatoes but it seemed they are roasted. Fried is yum too though, must beg dad to do chips when we are staying there (they have a fryer).

Public service announcement. Tiger baguette burns REALLY easily Blush

Laska5772 · 24/07/2017 19:39

Fluffy Oh god, yes , I remember mum serving up Roe on toast for tea!! (hey, there isnt a Yuk smiley!) Hmm.Bleugh.. we ate it though , if it was served up we had to eat it or nowt.

lonely yep... quite right... eat it or go without.. we did that also.. . they would go without sometimes, but not often as I never really made anything too unacceptable to them I think .( but now my DS will not eat brocolli ever! ( he was made to as a kid ) .

Funniest time was when Dd announced she was a veggie - only she realised once we were all sitting down that she didnt like actually like veg or any meat subs.. .. it lasted about 48 hours (and I did try and accommodate her , )

CremeEggThief · 24/07/2017 20:43

Good for you, Fridge. I'm another who would tell them off, if they caught me on a feisty day. I love "shameful scumbags". Grin Must add it to my repertoire.

Spends: £30 Pilates (next 5 lessons) and £5.50 travel.

SnugglySnerd · 24/07/2017 21:21

I love that your dh doesn't know about his loyalty cards, fluffy. That made me laugh!

Dm was a believer in eat it or don't eat. Well with me anyway. With my sister she usually gave up after a few hours of arguing at the table.

We call cube potatoes "pomme rissolees" probably because you buy them this way in the supermarkets in France. We only have them in France. Dm fries them in butter and oil in a cast iron pan then salts them. Oddly they're not the same if we get them here from the french supermarket. They don't taste right somehow.

Lasagne was awesome.

Ready to go back to work tomorrow now 😭😩
