cag DP doesn't drink hot drinks at all and I don't like coffee. I never buy tea out as tea is so cheap to make, but hot chocolate is my downfall. And Cake

waitresses don't deny yourself all things nice, but just be more sparing with it and the savings will soon show.

mammymammyIRL · 02/07/2017 13:05

Read as far as this point - catch up soon. I'm sorting through binbags of clothes dc have gotten - dd has a whole new wardrobe plus one big bag to go to her niece which will mak its way back to us before dd fits into them. Ds has gotten a few bits & has more for next year & their room has gotten much tidier.

CremeEggThief · 02/07/2017 14:43

£12.03 in Asda. It's so nice being able to walk back from a big supermarket with a bag or 2 of shopping. Smile

Cagliostro · 02/07/2017 15:19

I would love that creme and it'll be great if you ever time visits with yellow sticker stuff too!

Got a few bits in Morrisons today and found they have nice baby clothes! 5 sleepsuits and a sleeping bag for £28. This is adding up fast!

Loveabaconsandwich · 02/07/2017 15:37

Just back from a birthday party with DD

Now sat in the sunshine with an archers, lemonade and splash of orange juice. Mmmm 🍸

WreckTangled · 02/07/2017 16:25

Busy day.

£6.50 spinning
£4 something on coffees after
£23 on macdonalds
£48 cinema

Think dp paid for the snacks himself (hopefully!).

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/07/2017 16:45

£9 vitamin supplements for Dh.
£20 refund from Tesco.

Finally taught Dh to spray tan, he's getting good now.

Cagliostro · 02/07/2017 17:11

Mmmm Archers now that's one type of booze I do like :o

ememem84 · 02/07/2017 17:16

Oooh archers. Yum.

In my yoof last year sensible mummyface now we used to make pimms and chuck a couple of shots of archers in. Mmm

Cagliostro · 02/07/2017 17:56

I like a premixed can of Archers and lemonade. Also the Malibu and cola ones. Classy bird, me :)

mammymammyIRL · 02/07/2017 18:10

Been sorting clothes & tidying & cleaning out hens all morning, at an open day for sea rescue in afternoon - just found out local takeaway now takes card payment - it's been earned Hmm slopes away ....

ememem84 · 02/07/2017 18:52

Baked ginger lime flapjacks, and a quiche for dinner.

Been for a walk and an ice cream by the lighthouse. £4 two ice creams.

NSD for me! They're pretty rare.

We have almost reconstructed the shed at the top of the garden. Just the roof to go. It weighs roughly a tonne, so no idea how we're going to manage that. I have built a new raised bed, and planted the last of the beans, and some sweet potatoes in. Put the last 2 in the old bath. Which is in the front garden.

I used to open a tin of diet coke, have a glug, then top it up with Southern Comfort. Those were the days!
Don't drink at all now. Stems from being a single mum and having the fear of falling down the stairs drunk, and my dc not being able to wake me up. Once I'd thought that, I simply couldn't drink anymore.

cag Morrisons baby clothes are the pick of the bunch of supermarkets I think. Quality on a par with Sainsburys, boots and m&s but cheaper.

mammy our Chinese does take cards, the chippy doesn't. Guess which we have more often! Dp won't have an Indian anymore, as he got compilobacter (sp) from one, which was fun.

LonelyOversharer · 02/07/2017 19:04

Beautiful em reminds me of Cornwall. I do envy you your climate! It's been overcast all day here.

thewaitresses · 02/07/2017 19:06

Wreck you are so motivated to go spinning so early on a Sunday!

Fluffy your dh is well trained! I tried to get my dh to learn how to French plait but it was a disaster and he can't even get a bobble into dds hair!

Mmmm...archers in pimms sounds like a winning combination!

I spent some money on new school uniform for next year but am going to take some of it back so won't allocate spends yet. I bought before going through dds current uniform and I'm sure some of it can be re-used e.g. short summer dresses may be ok with leggings for autumn.

Any other school uniform tips?

SnugglySnerd · 02/07/2017 19:06

Thanks Waitresses I think DD started napping reliably in her cot at about 6 months. I want/need to be able to do stuff with her during the summer hols so I think I'm going to stick with buggy naps for at least one nap a day possibly two for the time being. They will be 6 months by the time she gets to preschool in September.

I love Gloucester services. We always end up spending a fortune if we stop there. Fabulous family toilets though!

Just bought milk today which means we only spent 80p all weekend. Hooray!

Cagliostro · 02/07/2017 19:12

Too hot for me here today.

I really did like the Morrisons stuff, lots of bright and cute stuff. I chose things with jungle animals and sea creatures. I was really disappointed with Asda as literally everything was either pink or blue. Not that I have an objection to either colour of course but there are other colours available FFS :o

No idea what size stuff to get. I now have six newborn sleepsuits and one newborn vest and a very hungry caterpillar hat - should I get 0-3m stuff too? I can't remember any of this stuff. Also Cagletini is apparently measuring a little small at the moment... I've never had a small baby!

WreckTangled · 02/07/2017 19:12

Waitress I got to the 8:30 virtual class it's the only time I get a break from the children! Plus my friend comes so we have a gossip and a coffee after Smile

I told a friend I would go to London for the day with her at the end of July and she said I can stay at hers (she lives near a train station I don't) which is great but I'm scared of telling Dh because I'm going out quite a bit over the next few weeks Blush four out of the next five weekends I'm doing something...

WreckTangled · 02/07/2017 19:13

My dc were huge and were in the sainsburys up to one month stuff for a good few weeks, 0-3 swamped them but newborn would be too small so I recommend getting a pack of those when they have 25% off.

CremeEggThief · 02/07/2017 19:45

My DS was in 0-3 from birth, but he was fairly big at 8.8 pounds and ounces and he was 9 pounds by the time he was a week old.

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/07/2017 20:08

Don't be daft waitress. That's why we are here to look at and discuss money spending. Don't deprive yourself but cut the disorganised stuff by trying to be more organised.

£40 deisel today, £2.85 bread and milk, £3 sweets

Cagliostro · 02/07/2017 20:34

Thanks! I find it so confusing. DS was nearly 12lb but still wore the newborn stuff we had Confused. Anyway this baby is going to seem tiny in comparison! As even if they do grow a lot like he did, we will be aware due to the extra scans so they will induce me.

Ah well I guess there's a huge variation between shops anyway - the newborn stuff I got today seems tiny compared to what I bought in Boots. The vest from there looks massive.

Never mind I shall just have to get lots of things from different places I suppose! Now that I've chosen a few bits I am starting to feel more excited. I still can't believe there's going to be a person fitting those clothes though. Mind = blown :o.

ememem84 · 02/07/2017 21:14

£35.45 made selling stuff on eBay. Yippee!!

cag its crazy isn't it?? I can't quite believe it. We were eating ice cream today and I pointed out to dh that this time next year baby boy will be with us. And I'll have to spend £6 on ice creams for the three of us!! Haha. We can take him to the beach and the park etc. It's crazy to think how much things are going to change. In a relatively short space of time.

I've not bought any "up to one month" anything yet. But the stuff I've bought I can't imagine a small person fitting into them. Exciting times ahead!

I've just spent the last hour sat watching tv on the floor. Catface booted me off the couch. She is lying full length on it. Dh was also relegated to floor. We're not sure how that happened. The balance of power has shifted here.

AuditAngel · 02/07/2017 21:34

Love thanks for asking, mum is fine, had surgery on her back as she has been in so much pain. It is better, she may be out tomorrow.

Today £14.50 on a karate t-shirt for DD1 and £12 for one for DD2.

£35 on petrol (can reclaim from work) £5.99 n a new insulated lunch bag for me (do I don't have to borrow DD2's spare Minnie Mouse one) £4 parking at the hospital to see mum.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/07/2017 21:36
Grin

Cats have ways of getting us to do things.

When asbo cat is ill Dh sleeps in the spare room so the cat can have his side of the bed.
