I would like to say NSD, but that would be a lie!

£99 on a new ultrasonic toothbrush for DH But he isn't getting it until Father's Day or he'll expect another present then too. Spent ages last night doing a price comparison angpd bought it from Boots as a lot cheaper than Amazon (and I get the free beauty box...)

Need to pay for slimming world later, but I think I also need to pay for missing last week so £10

Remembered to make a lunch, although not very exciting. Will need to buy more salad and eggs (since Saturday?

needastrongone · 30/05/2017 18:54

Welcome karcher. One tip is to review all your direct debits, cancel anything you can and renegotiate any utilities via a cash back site. Meal plan. Selling sites are good too.

Lovely dress wrecked, I'll post a picture of the skirt I got yesterday for £16.

Had a busy day baking and cooking. Granola and jam slices, marble cake and SC chicken.

em, I've just won a Naked Palette for £12.50 on EBay. I'm honestly not trying to tempt you, just thought that's a bargain!

needastrongone · 30/05/2017 19:03

DH gets a bottle of JD and thinks himself lucky on Fathers DayGrin

WreckTangled · 30/05/2017 19:09

Dh gets new contributions in his 'we ❤️ daddy' scrapbook. Costs me nothing Grin

CremeEggThief · 30/05/2017 19:13

Lucky you, Wreck. It's 10 years since I've been to Barcelona; great city. When are you going?

Welcome Karcheer and welcome back, The waitressesSmile.

Glad your greenhouse is going ahead now, Copper. You've wanted it for a long time.

NSD, although £49.95 will come out for my online Sainsburys delivery which came today, tomorrow. I've managed to hoover and mop downstairs, clean the bathroom and do two loads of laundry today. I've made an appointment to have my foot checked at my GP's tomorrow, which is a 5 minutes walk away normally, so let's see what they have to say.

ememem84 · 30/05/2017 20:21

KLAXON!!!

need is an enabler!!!! 😉😂😀 (Stop trying to tempt me woman...! that is an absolute bargain though I already have a naked pallet but I've 2 years old and I've only got pan on one shade. It will last forever. Haha!!

wreck cute dress!!!!

We've been to parents class tonight. All about labour. Dh is a bit shell shocked. So much to consider and so much we didn't know.

Cagliostro · 30/05/2017 20:23

Naughty need :o :o

Oooh classes must make it all seem very real em! Thanks

Laska5772 · 30/05/2017 20:25

I was going out this evening , but didnt because on the way home from work I have had the silliest accident.. went right over the handlebars of my (adult) micro scooter today (hit a pothole) . I landed literally face first on the tarmac and have cut the bridge of my nose - and its now all swollen up , but dont think its broken - badly grazed my chin, and forehead . Think im going to get two black eyes. as well. Blush Sad

but I am definately NOT too old to scoot!

Laska5772 · 30/05/2017 20:30

Em Old news!! (that is if you have ever been onthe S&B board that is!) Although need may say its Me who is the Enabler [grin}

I am drinking mid week Wine I wont be going to work tomorrow anyway, looking like this..

WreckTangled · 30/05/2017 20:34

Oh no Laska! My sister broke her rib falling off of my nieces scooter the other week.

Ah em it's all so exciting!!

Creme we're going 9-12 June.

Realised this evening that Ds had been wearing two pairs of boxers all day. He had obviously forgotten to take his old ones off this morning before he put his clean ones on Grin

Cagliostro · 30/05/2017 20:39

Oh no Laska! Hope you can get some rest Brew

Laska5772 · 30/05/2017 20:45

Yeah I sent round a few photos and messages like 'Hee hee look what a twit I am' but am now feeling a bit sorry for myself.. Sad idiot woman

mammymammyIRL · 30/05/2017 21:10

Lovely wreck fabulous city Smile
Audit if only you were nearer I could give you eggs, we've over supply as I've not been eating all week & we've not adjusted our cooking style to having hens again either & we're away at weekend so there'll be donations all over the place Grin

Need what are jam slices?
Dh will probably get a meal out on Father's Day which we aim to do once a month anyhow & maybe a tshirt

Oh laska you poor thing they say these things happen in 3's so we've creme then laska who's next?

I ordered clarks sandals for ds this evening, there's been further delays with the fabulous timberland ones I ordered & we're away this weekend if I'm over the bloody d&v bug camping so he needs them sooner rather than later Smileexcept I'd showed him the other ones & he's a little fashionista and can't wait for the cool ones to come.

Blimey Laska, that must really hurt. Look after yourself. I believe wine is a recommended medicine in these situations. I can just imagine you scooting along.
Crime how is your foot? And North, is DH's eye ok?
Have a good time camping Mammy.
Just had the men round looking at where the little wall for my greenhouse is going. It has to be special brick....flat on top for the greenhouse to be screwed to and weatherproof. £££££ I suspect.

ememem84 · 30/05/2017 21:54

laksa oh no!! Heal soon!!! Xx

yeo the classes made things a bit real. We talked about pain relief during labour. And labour/delivery positions. Dh got the giggles at one point. he's going to be so useful

It's interesting as I was initially thinking "yep all the drugs" now I know a bit more about them not sure if I do.

Laska5772 · 30/05/2017 21:57

It didnt much, but does now.. only had a couple of glasses but am going to bed now with some tea and paracetamol.. (I do feel an utter twit though, even wearing my reading glasses is difficult ).. I hope the nose heals before the holiday ..

It really was 'face hit ground' first , and apart from a slight mark on one leg I have no other guts or grazes at all, hands fine and scooter totally unscratched.. It was almost a perfect Tom and Jerry 'Comedy Splat'..One good thing though - I was scooting down alongside the Quay.. It could have been MUCH worse wetter!

Right ..stop feeling sorry for yourself , Laska. . bed now..

needastrongone · 30/05/2017 21:58

Oh Laska, you poor poor thing, what a thing to happen. It shakes a person up something rotten something like that. CakeBrewWine. Wine is the answer. X

Ah, jam and granola slices, as below, sorry. Marble cake. Bargain skirt.

Boot Camp with DD, outside, good fun.

Laska5772 · 30/05/2017 21:59

Em.. Gas and Air.. its fab! ...I didnt have any drugs but would have done if I had needed them.. No shame in doing so..

Laska5772 · 30/05/2017 22:04

Thanks all for good wishes , .. I may post pic of nose tomorrow.. we shall see what its like big

Cagliostro · 30/05/2017 22:04

I think that's the main thing where being flexible, winging it etc like you said, is really important. Whatever gets you through, especially as it's your first you don't know how your body will react to the pain.

I'm not sure what's going to happen this time! I'm tempted to just say epidural straight away as with DS it was too late, but also my pain tolerance is massively higher now because of the illnesses I now have... but then I am also more at risk of getting worn out because I'm so much weaker. I loved my TENS machine last time though and will be hiring one again, really helped me feel in control.

I am freaking out about labour TBH, just because I am so flipping unfit now! In fact I started my DVD workout this evening and the Caglets joined in. Starting slowly.

One tip I never learned in antenatal - only heard it from my paramedic friend - is to breathe the gas and air in slightly before you need it. So just before the contraction, rather than when it starts. Once you are in a rhythm with it, it really helps.

needastrongone · 30/05/2017 22:07

Ah, Em, I didn't mean to tempt you honestly. I thought I might give it to DD, reward for her hard work and commitment to the pony. An elderly lady stopped her in the street today; apparently she sees her walk by the house twice a day without fail and she now watches out for her, kind of a routine. She told her how much it matters to her to see her and her dedication is lovely. DD was really touched. That's such a kind gesture of the lady.

ememem84 · 30/05/2017 22:43

I've been super restrained need I'm desperate for a new eyeshadow pallet. But can't justify it. I have two - urban decay and a Mac one. Which I'm working through. When one is finished I'm treating myself to either a Dior or a channel quad one. They're lush and spendy but so pretty I'm saving for it though as I'll be 40 before the ones I have are finished

Dd will love the naked pallet though. Was it a 6 colour or a 12? Either way it's a bargain!

Their eye primer is ace too.

laksa yes! Gas and air. Dh reckons that's the way forwards because he gets a say...??? less harmful to baby and I'll still be able to focus and do what I need to. I was all for the epidural but on hearing that it can make things more difficult I'm now thinking short term pain get baby out! Ha! But still we're (I'm) just going to go with the flow and see how things go. It may be that I end up having to have a section. Not exactly what I want now (no reason other than there's no reason for me to opt now for major surgery) but if it's the best thing at the time I'll do what's best. Obviously.

dh also says gas and air because he'll get to have a go

No further spends today. Lunches made for tomorrow - spinach leaves, tomatoes cucumber roast chicken cous cous and a boiled egg. 😀

Cagliostro · 30/05/2017 22:45

I was so off my face on gas and air the first time I don't think I really cared how much it hurt :o

Cagliostro · 30/05/2017 22:45

Aww need that's really lovely

SunnyLikeThursday · 31/05/2017 05:57

Great idea to find out what's what Em. I read a lot beforehand and it was good as I at least knew what I was signing up for when I had to make decisions on the day. In the end though, I just did what my dm did when I was born, and that worked fine. (pethidine and gas and air)

We had a bit of an epic adventure planned for today. Crossing fingers that it goes well.
